Then I asked if you could ask someone in the back and then he said sure thing then he went in the back. then the person came out and said go get your own charger. And then I said, but other people's got the charger for me and then she said I'm not other people and then I said OK whatever and I walk away. Then I hear her mumble dumbass.SO I ADVISE TO NEVER COME HERE

A tired library…read more Like a lot of New England towns, the idea of a public "free" library in Webster got it's start right after the Civil War. Various collections of books were kept and offered to the public but the town didn't get it's first real library until 1918. That's when Augusta Corbin left a bunch of money for the construction of a library in memory of her late husband, Chester Corbin. The well known architectural firm of Titan & Githens was hired to build the library and it's doors were official opened in 1920. The building is charming and reminds me of an old school, although as far as I know it was never used in this capacity. But the tired old library is obviously worn out and is definitely looking it's age. Fortunately the planning of a nice, modern library is well along and will be opened in a few years. Until then the old building will continue to serve the town as it's done for decades. It still can do all the things a library is suppose to do but the new library will be much bigger and operate much more comfortably and efficient. And soon, like many old memorial libraries buildings, this one will become just a memory.
