At 29, I somehow still hadn't found a hair stylist I liked enough to see more than a couple of…read moretimes. That stopped the first time I had Kate McGuire cut and color my hair at Studio 2. She knows how to work with my fine hair and gets the color just right every time. She also styled my hair and did my makeup my wedding and was very patient with me as I struggled to figure out the perfect up-do. We tried a couple of different things before settling on a loose and laid back style that she nailed on my wedding day. It was gorgeous. Everyone at Studio 2 is wonderful--so sweet and fun and accommodating. I highly recommend for hair, makeup and waxing--can't speak for their other services, but I'm sure they excel at those too.

Most recently, we did a chocolate color with natural looking highlights, and it looks fabulous! I trust her to do whatever she thinks is going to look good on me and she never disappoints. I especially appreciate her giving me good haircuts that grow out nicely and that still look good even if I don't get back to her as soon as I'd like! Additionally, the ladies here are all incredibly nice and welcoming, as are the owner's two adorable Newfoundlands, Angus and Eva. There's none of that snooty attitude that one gets from a lot of salons nowadays and I didn't feel awkward and uncool like I usually do walking into most salons, and this Iowa girl really appreciates that!
