Jack Hammond and I regularly met throughout the week for 60-minute training sessions. I can't emphasize this enough-- his enthusiasm, encouragement, and overall knowledge about training undoubtably helped me achieve my goals. Not only did he constantly challenge and push me to improve and train harder; but he did so with a positive attitude. Obviously just by looking at Jack, you'll be able to tell he knows a thing or two about fitness and lifting (the guy is ~~ripped~~), but what sets Jack apart from the other "bro-science" personal trainers, is that he is ACE-certified, has a bachelor's degree in kinesiology, and also has experience with college athletics. His overall understanding about fitness is all backed by his years of experience + knowledge about science-based explanations ... now I don't know about you, but I don't think I could have asked for a more qualified trainer. Due to personal obligations and a career change, I'm no longer able to train at Method as regularly. The good news is that I'll always be able to keep the lessons I've been taught on proper form, correct movements, acceptable adjustments, and lastly-- my higher and improved self-esteem.

She is a career dancer, so it's not like other places where a fitness instructor just takes a few certification classes. Because of her experience, she is great at explaining how to move and hold your body and how to correct your form. Because they are a personal training gym, we usually always had the place to ourselves which I ended up really, really liking. When I was in fantastic shape, going to the regular gym was nothing, but when you've got some extra pounds to shed, having a nearly private space was amazing. I was concerned that because it was a personal training gym a trainer would eventually come up and try to sell me on some sessions, but that didn't happen. Unlike larger gyms I've been to! Also because they are personal training, you have just about every piece of free-weight/aerobic equipment that you could want, along with several machines - again at your disposal, no worrying about waiting for them. They also offer classes that look fun. Finally you CANNOT, I repeat cannot beat the atmosphere here. It is really cool inside, extremely clean, set-up well (2 floors), modern and the staff/owners are so friendly and pretty much mind their clients and not your presence. There are many sprouting up around the southcoast in MA and RI, but this is one of the few that also offers free fit-camps and other low cost fitness classes for all levels. The nutrition club specializes in gourmet smoothies that are 200 calories or under, while providing a minimum of 24 grams of protein and an abundance of vitamins, minerals and nutrients to constitute as a full meal! The hot or iced metabolism boosting teas are fantastic and delicious while providing energy without the crash!! They also provide homemade protein treats, snacks and even pies during certain times of the year to keep you on track with your goals. You do not need to join Herbalife in order to visit here. This is a great family and community at New Life Nutrition and are welcoming to everyone who comes through the door. If you want good training, Body Natural Fitness in the Bristol oyster bar building is a hidden gem, and if you live in Warren the Bristol AF location is head and shoulders better. They have with few exceptions only one working model of everything so you better hope someone else isn't trying for the working erg, treadmill, or upright bike. Lastly, other RI AF locations are great. There is no hands-on effort or character behind this location. Case in point: instead of executing on friendly energetic staff hours at peak times to enforce tailgating, they have invested in their creepy big brother security system to badger and bully people in the name of a "secure facility" which is a hilarious joke for the unsuccessful effort they make.
