A "gentleman" is at the gym at the same time as me speaking louding and dropping weights talking about "how he'd like to beat a b (expletive) into the ground." I have previously reported this man. The last time I did, the gym manager suggested that I get headphones so that I "did not have to hear him anymore." The manager also said "well he's a regular".... If you like chewed gum and nonworking machines with an owner and staff who doesn't seem to care--this is the place for you. Same owner with same attitude at the woodward and 8 location.

The electric hair dryers in the locker rooms are excessively noisy. They are registering over 100…read moredecibels on a decibel meter. One was reading out at 106 decibels. This exceeds exposure limits set by the occupational safety and health administration. But OSHA will not get involved unless an employee complains. But it's the members, not the employees, who are using the hair dryers, so there have been no employee complaints. In any event, PF should eventually confirm this problem and rectify it.

First we warm up by stretching afterwards we take our 1/2 mile run/jog then we get right into the exercises. So my Groupon was for a month unlimited classes and I decided to make that month count! The gym is a pretty big space with a huge gym mat flooring in the center, trx bands and boxing bags to the side. It's an all women boot camp so I automatically felt comfortable (no offense guys ). This camp is full of dedicated women from all different strength ranges so you feel comfortable going at your own pace and even daring to push yourself! The women are encouraging when you take the time to hear their stories and hear their reason why they keep coming to class. Bianca is the owner and also a trainer and she instantly makes you feel like one of the Burn Sisters (even though she tries to kill you through her crazy workouts on a daily basis!) She's very involved and hands on and you can tell she puts a lot of thought into the different workouts daily. Which is one of things I love, it never gets redundant there's always something different to push you and you even get the less difficult, most difficult and somewhere in between to help maximize your workout and tailor it to fit you. All the trainers are energetic and you can always get one on one attention to correct your form. They even have an app where you can schedule sessions to get measured and check your progress, and learn the workout focus for the week and more features. There is also Facebook support group where you can also connect. I'm nearing the end of my month long Groupon and I can say without a doubt this is my most favorite workout experience and I've done a few different bootcamps and workouts over the years! Do I groan every day just thinking about going to work out? Yes! Does it still hurt? Yes! Would I rather be somewhere drinking a beer? Yes! I joined when the gym first opened and I think that it was cleaner then. It still is clean and some of the workers work very hard and are always there. However, often times I will find that the bathrooms or showers are dirty. This was usually a problem when I used to go at night but I also noticed it in the morning once. I love that the steam room is very clean and that they close it to clean it. The pools are really clean too. I dislike that instead of opening the door sometimes the valet guys will just stand there talking with one another. I get it they're young but the least they could do is acknowledge you and attempt to open the door. Sometimes the front desk people say goodbye, other times they don't. Overall, the workers are really kind and the people here are really kind. I also don't like how crowded it gets around 5-7pm. I try to avoid that time. I wish they had made the gym multiple floors when they opened it. I feel as though they'll probably have to expand it in the future or open another one. The reason I love coming to this gym is because of the great classes they offer. The app is very helpful and shows classes throughout the day. Linda is an amazing yoga instructor. When I went to lifetime I'd pay for yoga and the gym separately because I didn't like their classes but here the instructors are all great. I also really like Erica. The cycling classes are great too. I had Alie and she made it really fun and the music was really good too!

You can't market as luxury and have a cafe that is barely open and when it is the choices are limited. This isn't just in Michigan, you have the same issue in Miami (Brickell Heights) and I am sure at your other locations. Don't boast luxury when your cafe is more along the lines of planet fitness.
