You work with their group directly who then contract out hair and makeup stylists for your trail and day of services. If you are someone who likes direct contact with a stylists this may not be the route for you. HOWEVER! They offer very low minimum spend (5 services) and no charges for travel as long as your getting ready location is in the suburbs. This was perfect as I had a small bridal party and minimal family members interested in getting hair or makeup done. Also, their prices were very competitive. I worked with Sam for makeup! Sam did a great job asking the right questions, applying the right looks for people who usually wear minimal makeup, and checking in to ensure what she was doing was liked. Everyone felt very much like themself and makeup lasted all night. For hair, I worked with Alex! Between my trail and wedding morning, it took Alex and I some time to get to my final wedding look. She was patient with me but had some difficulties interpreting my vision. I can 100% say that it was all worth it in the end because i LOVED my hair. I felt like myself and it held all night. My other girls also enjoyed their hair and really felt heard by Alex. Lastly, I recommend to Style on Site to shoot for consistency with their clients. My appointments were typically very long--often around six hours--and I spent a significant amount of money on my hair over the course of that year. Unfortunately, my most recent experience showed me exactly how little my business and loyalty apparently meant to her. Before my appointment, I texted to let her know I was running late. While I was already on my way, she began texting me about her 15-minute grace period and telling me she had another client after me. Fair enough--salons have schedules and late policies. But what happened when I arrived was completely unacceptable. Instead of having a normal, professional conversation with me, the OWNER began yelling at me. I was honestly shocked by the level of hostility, attitude and disrespect. I wasn't going to stand there and allow someone I had paid thousands of dollars over the course of a year to scream at me, so I left. Then came the dispute over the hair I had already paid for. Despite the appointment not proceeding, she refused to refund my money for the hair. That only reinforced my decision that I would never give this business another dollar. The most disappointing part is the owner's attitude. In my experience, she behaves as though she is somehow above her customers and entitled to speak to people however she chooses. There is an arrogance and unpleasantness that I overlooked for far too long because I had an established relationship with her and liked having consistency with my hair. This final incident was the last straw. Let's be clear: this isn't some exclusive celebrity salon where customers should feel privileged just to get through the door. It's a neighborhood salon in Hoffman Estates. Customers are the reason any salon stays in business, and treating a loyal customer as though she's beneath you is an incredibly poor way to run one. I fully acknowledge that I was late. If she couldn't accommodate me, all she had to say was, "I'm sorry, we need to reschedule." That would have been the end of it. Instead, she chose to yell at me and turn a scheduling issue into an ugly confrontation. After being a loyal customer for a year, I walked away from this experience thinking: Why did I ever tolerate this woman's attitude or spend this much money here? My recommendation is simple: steer clear of Eros Salon. There are far too many talented stylists and professional salon owners in the area to spend your money somewhere you may be treated with hostility and disrespect. I will never return, and I absolutely do NOT recommend spending your money here! The owners demeanor is deeply unpleasant, unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional!
