My two daughters have been attending for 5 months now. The younger (5) is in Tigers and the older (10) is in the beginners class. The girls enjoy the combination of game based skill learning and in the older class more hand to hand grappling. As a mom, a really like the focus put on teaching the students skills in order to defend themselves while seeking a safe adult. They are excited to go to class every week. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and you can tell they really enjoy what they do. It is a positive and accepting environment for everyone. I highly recommend Peaceful Warriors! read more

My daughter has been going to this dojo since she was 4. Within just the first few classes, I saw amazing changes in both her attitude/behavior at home and in her confidence. She found it fun, even while learning skills to help her protect herself in a variety of situations- not just physical attacks. She has continued to grow and learn over the last 6 years now. During the height of the pandemic, this dojo put forth their weekly lessons for all levels on video and made them available to the students and others. They put together "at home kits" to provide supplies for kids learning the techniques at home- and didn't charge for them. They are a family oriented dojo concerned with developing life skills and active protection while still fostering self-growth for people in a variety of age-groups. Every rank advancement is earned based on the individual's skill retention and growth. Proper form and technique are taught with guidance as to how avoid injury to self or others. The instructors are able to work with every student based on their individual needs. The instructors and other students have become great friends and an extension of our family. The owners are very active in the community, using games, skills, and teamwork to help people grow into their best selves. My son has ADHD and an impulse disorder and has always had isssues with behavior ect. I signed him up at peaceful warriors and I have been nothing but happy! They treat the kids with pure respect and teach them in a way that they understand. My son loves class and I even got his little sister signed up after seeing such great results. Classes are fun and energetic. They offer incentives for the kids to earn and they even encourage parents to give the same rewards at home to continue the learning process. When we signed our daughter up last year it was because she was being picked on, needed some work on her confidence and discipline and we liked how close it was to home. What we didn't know is that with Peaceful Warriors we would find a new family. Within 4 months of us taking her to classes, both my husband and I joined up. He does martial arts with her and I take the yoga classes they provide. Not only has it brought us closer together as a family by helping each other practice at home but we have be blessed to be accepted into their dojo family.
