When I asked the front desk employee about tanning, she seemed bothered by my questions and was not very welcoming. After checking in, I was directed to the tanning booth. As I walked over, I noticed a homeless man sleeping on a sofa right next to the tanning area. This made me uncomfortable, and after I finished tanning, I left. A couple of weeks later, I emailed the gym to cancel my membership. I received a response from the Assistant Manager, Marcus, who asked me to come in for a tour of the facility. He also assured me that allowing homeless individuals to sleep inside the gym was against company policy. I replied and explained that my weekdays were tied up with work, but if he could provide a few dates and times, I would try to arrange a visit. Unfortunately, I never received a response. When I later called to cancel my membership, I was informed that I would still be charged for two additional months, as well as the annual fee, because it was stated in the membership agreement. This was frustrating, especially considering I had only visited the facility once. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this location. The exterior lighting is poor, the staff was unapproachable, communication was lacking, and the cancellation process was disappointing.

He comes to his clients and this is a huge benefit to me. He brings everything we need for our session and he keeps track of where I am with everything. He corrects my form, suggests modifications and helps push me farther that I would normally push myself. I do feel like I'm improving and getting stronger, but the main thing is it has spurred me to doing other things that I had not done in forever, like logging my calories and trying out a new kind of cardio (see my Urban Row review). I think my husband is so polite and afraid to hurt my feelings, he never comments on my food choices or my lack of physical activity, and that's probably for the best. But it's nice to have someone charged with keeping me pointed in the right direction. But most importantly, he puts up with me. He has a really great attitude; mine, not so much. I think the top three things he hears me say are: are you counting?!, is this right?, and I hate this! But he takes all of that grumpy, self-doubting, self-deprecating complaining and somehow manages to be cheerful and fun and funny. I don't like working out, but I like hanging out with Rick, so I'm going to stick with it.
