We recently moved away from the area, but we continue to take our dog to Amber Leaf because everyone there--from the front desk staff to the vets and vet techs--are amazing. Our German Shepherd mix Brimley was diagnosed with epilepsy about a year before we had to put her down. Throughout her treatment, Dr. Jason always thoroughly answered our questions and helped us make informed decisions about our dog's care and quality of life. He coordinated with specialists and often offered advice over the phone without requiring us to come in for an office visit. When we had to take our girl in for a cluster of uncontrollable seizures, they let us stay in an exam room for pretty much an entire day while we comforted our anxious dog. They laid blankets out, dimmed the lights, and played calming music. The front desk staff went above and beyond staying by our dog's side when we had to leave for a short break. We honestly can't thank them enough. Everyone collectively helped make our dog's last hours peaceful and pain free. Amber Leaf has the most compassionate people and the first thing we did when we got our new puppy was schedule an exam with Dr. Jason. We hope we never have to find care anywhere else.

They can address emergencies well. Dr. Sunny is extra compassionate as he has taken it upon himself to help my elderly dog with his anal gland expresses, since my dog has a collapsed trachea, and some techs struggle to get the right area. He said to make my appt for my elderly dog when he's there, and he'll try to be one to do it or assist the tech. Dr. Kumar discovered Sammy's collapsed trachea so he's smart. Sometimes, Dr. Kumar pushes for too many interventions, and you end up paying more than you wanted to pay, but his heart is in the right place. I've never had Dr. Fauley as a vet but he does not get high reviews by my dog friends who have visited Care. 2. The techs vary--sometimes amazing, sometimes inept. I think they may employ some temps. 3. The office staff varies--sometimes compassionate and helpful; sometimes mean and sarcastic. I mean sarcastic and sassy to the point a friend of mine stopped going here because of one particular person. 4. Their meds are available online for less, which they will not tell you, so that's kind of odd. As in, Sammy is on Cerenia for his collapsed trachea, but I had to discover that I could buy the meds from THEM online for less than in person. Maybe that will change. Same with heart worm meds--less expensive on their online site. They will not give you a prescription to buy meds online somewhere else like Chewy. 5. Their hours are AMAZING. As in, open late weekdays, open Sat & Sun. I think they're trying to position themselves as both your regular and your emergency vet. 6. Prices are not outlandish, but do tend to be higher than some places. Probably comes with the longer hours, and 7 days a week open. Much less than what you'd pay going to an emergency place, so there's that. Because they do get emergency visits, you may have to wait, so I think they should find a way to warn you, if you have a nonemergency appt, and maybe redirect you to another time/day. 7. My wishes for this place are that they get a bit more with the times in terms of a natural approach to caring for animals. As in a species appropriate raw food diet for dogs is not that strange but neither vet embraces it. Natural vitamins and supplements have been a "thing" for a while, but they are not all that inclusive of those thoughts nor are they resourceful. I handed a list of the natural supplements I give my dogs to Dr. Sunny and he left it on the examination table after our visit. He questioned my use of a raw food dog (Raw Bistro--$80 per 12 patties of Bison--top notch organic raw food). But, at the same time, he mentioned Metamucil for my dog's anal glands. I went for organic flaxseed, instead, which has helped Sammy, so he had a great thought, but why not organic pumpkin and organic flaxseed? Made a difference. Dr. Kumar does recommend some vitamin supplements but seems to have no idea where to get them (as in, you can direct people to Dr. Mercola's dog vitamins or Standard Processing dog vitamins). Using human vitamins is a bit strange. Dr. Sunny mentions Manuka honey as a wound med, but he needs to say where to go (at least mention Whole Foods) I use my dog's Chiropractor, Dr. Erin O'Connor, (Vitality Chiropractic Center) as my natural supplement source of info. and she stocks vitamins. And, it's odd neither vet embraces chiropractic or laser treatment for tissue issues, accident recovery, and old age movement issues. My older dog, despite being 14 and having a collapsed trachea, moves around very well, because he has had chiropractic care every 6 weeks, and Sammy has had it his entire life. It's fairly well known that chiropractic care is very good for animals (and humans) In terms of tooth care, TEEF is all natural and effective, but neither vet embraces that, but instead has some kind of chew they recommend. I guess the pairing of Dr. O'Connor and this practice gives you the best of both worlds. All in all, a good place to bring your pets, especially if you have an emergency.

I was really worried about my cat Bella and she needed to go under anesthesia so I was procrastinating a little since she is my little laughter and has asthma. Dr. Berg cares so much that she has even answered my emails after hours. Jordan is always on top of everything as well including immediate calls and emails too which I am sure she gets employee of the month a lot (jk, but she should with how helpful she is). I have had many vets in my life depending on where I was living. Now that I am a home owner, I'm grateful to have such a wonderful vet close by. I can't say enough good things about this establishment since everyone is always so nice, which is very calming especially when you go in there stressed or worried (like most of the time besides buying special food). Dr. Grover is very good and a real nice guy as well though Dr. Berg has been my main doc since she saved Bella's life and it's just worked out that way since I met her first. Dr. Berg and Jordan have probably put extra time in too for me since I send videos (asthma attacks) and we have established a great business relationship and they know how worried I am about my "little princess" as well as my car accident from being hit by the "texting driver". They have a great team there too and are all in sync with each other. Everyone at the front desk are extremely positive and helpful too so it has a wonderful atmosphere. Update: Bella, 12 years of age is now acting 5 years younger and has double the energy. She seems very happy now that her pain seems to be gone as well as she is waking me up at sunrise to open the blinds so she can watch the birds and etc. Her asthma has got a lot better too so I really can't express how happy I am to see her happy again! She is even playing hockey with her ball and loves her toys again. It puts a smile on my face even in these hard times of the pandemic. Thanks Dr. Berg, Jordan, and the staff for everything!

Since he's a senior and then some dog, most vets get impatient due to how anxious/stressed and painful he can be. This was not the case at Warrenville Grove Animal Hospital. The service from the front desk staff, vet techs, Tracy, and vets was 5 stars (from my husband, myself, and our fur baby). We were treated with empathy, patience, and the highest level of care. Henry (fur baby) was as comfortable as he could be throughout and he did not scream once. Kim (vet tech) and Dr. Sarah Morlock were thorough, patient, and kind. They answered any and all questions and provided estimates $$ throughout the process. Unfortunately my baby did not improve and that is not for lack of compassion or care from the staff. My sweetheart went to rest here and we were shown empathy and care. We were able to make Henry feel as comfortable as possible - we brought his bed, blanket, and listened to music the entire time. We were given some of his fur and a paw print as a keepsake. I decided to have Hengers cremated and received him within a week. I truly am grateful for the entire staff at Warrenville Grove. **I do not recommend this organization based on my experience.**…read more My puppy was spayed at Fox Valley Animal Welfare League on August 6, 2026. My complaint is not about the veterinary care she received. It is about the customer service, communication, and leadership conduct I experienced. On Sunday, August 9, I called regarding my puppy's post-operative medication. The receptionist returned my call and explained that she was catching up on calls. Although she did not directly tell me that I should feel lucky she had returned my call, the way the conversation was communicated left me with that impression. I felt dismissed rather than as though my concerns were being taken seriously. By Thursday, August 13, I had not received the assistance I needed, so I called again and left a voicemail. I did not receive a return call. Because my puppy needed her medication, I drove to the clinic. When I asked for the office manager's name so I could address my concerns appropriately, I was not provided that information. Instead, I was told that I could be removed from the building and that the police could be called. After receiving the medication, I went to my vehicle and began documenting my experience. The receptionist then came outside and continued the conversation. The surgeon and another staff member also came outside and stood near my vehicle. The receptionist apologized several times, but the apologies were repeatedly accompanied by explanations about why she believed my behavior had caused her reaction. I left feeling that my concerns had not been genuinely addressed. I understand that customer-facing employees deal with difficult situations. However, that does not excuse treating a client in a dismissive or confrontational manner. I later learned that the receptionist is also the president of the organization's board. That leadership role makes the situation particularly concerning to me because it raises questions about how complaints involving her would be independently reviewed. I am sharing my experience so other pet owners can make their own informed decisions. **I do not recommend this organization based on my experience.**
