Wide side walks. Plenty of trash bins and benches. The buildings are also well maintained. There are presently several restaurants, a cafe, coffee shop, specialty food shop, furniture, jewelry and more. Professional/medical office space is located on the upper level. Very happy to have discovered this little gem. Will definitely return.

It was designed to look and feel like a traditional New England Village. The Cox service center is large and ample, and they have informed staff to help with internet or cable issues. The Mattress Firm store has pleasant salespeople that have helped us in the past with mattresses purchases. The cafes on site have been a great place to meet friends in the area. Conveniently located off of U.S. Route 1, about 30 miles south of Providence downtown, nearly 70 tenants call The Village at South County Commons home including restaurants, retailers, medical and dental practices, law firms, financial services as well as countless other professional offices. With a preschool, 8-screen cinema, fitness center, apartments, condominiums, independent and assisted living as well as two nationally-branded hotels, there's always something new and exciting to experience. Visitors and shoppers find much more than seaside charm at South County Commons here. Cyclists arrive through the picturesque stone entrance from the Rhode Island Bike Path. During the warmer months at the end of "Main Street" theres' a Summer Concert Series where the community gathers on the Circle for some live music. Also in the summer months, many come by for the Outdoor Movie Nights with complimentary popcorn provided by the on-site movie theater. Nice place to stroll around, to browse the windows and/or to get a cup of coffee or a meal....

The carpet was cleaned before we moved in but still had that old carpet smell that we could not get rid of. The appliances, windows, and unit was dated. Walls were paper thin and we could hear the neighbors above and below - full conversations at all hours of the day. We had a one bedroom unit - and there was an AC in the living room. It worked satisfactory for the living room. We asked on numerous occasions for a cover for the AC unit for the winter to no avail. We covered it ourselves. The worst part was the mice and other critters. We had asked again on numerous occasions about extermination and were told it was taken care of - it was not. We set out own traps and took care of it. The apartment complex is deceiving both from the road and online. The office staff is lovely but I would highly advise you tour the apartment you are going to live in before you move in. Apartments in the area are in high demand and we were not able to. For the price of the apartment, I would have expected a great deal more. The snow plowing and cleaning were great. But the quality of the apartments and the care are poor. The washers and dryers are owned by another company but it is worth traveling to a laundromat rather than using the worn out units. There are many great apartments out there and sadly, this unit is not one of them. It was safe and convenient, but lacked on common services.

All three houses were perfect. 31 Abalone Rd., 37 Spindrift and 48 East Shore. I can vouch for these three properties. All three houses were nicely furnished, the beds were comfortable, had awesome patios, the neighbors were great, each house had TVs with Roku, so that's rad. There is a separate service to rent linens for the beds, Durkin will hook you up with all that info. I have been going to The Great Island since I was a kid, it's an awesome vacation spot for us. This is the first time we rented through Durkin and we already have plans to go through them again. Durkin makes the whole process easy and stress free. 5 stars to Durkin.

I heard the testimony from two cultural exchange students, and they were emphatic on the very bad living conditions they were subjected to while living in this so called hotel. In all honesty, if this hotel was part of a national hotel chain, it would have been shut down. I too could not believe a multimillionaire would allow his hotel to be in such a rundown condition. I also reached out to the Stop and Shop management as the students worked at Stop and Shop and Stop and Shop was involved in obtaining the hotel for the students. The management at Stop and Shop told me they reached out to Mr. James Durkin to clean up and repair his property, but he refused. In addition, Stop and Shop had to try to do some cleaning on their own. The young ladies were intimidated to file a complaint as they were cultural exchange students, and James is on the Narragansett Town Council. I voted for James Durkin on the Town Council, but sadly after I found out he was a slumlord, I am sad I voted for him. There was a secondary job of replacing a small outdoor shower enclosure. The discussion about the door was thorough with replacement - something which normally comes in around $1000 - $1500 (door & labor) - suggested as the best choice. For the shower, I was given some suggestions for a larger, nicer enclosure. I did agree to get an estimate for that as long as I also got one for a simple replacement of the smaller walls and the shower head. That meeting left me feeling pretty confident in this company. After a couple of weeks I had to call to see if an estimate would be coming soon. They apologized for the delay and sent me the estimate later that day. $9000 for an amazing sounding, spa-like outdoor shower. No estimate for a straightforward replacement however And more importantly, no door estimate. When the mistake was brought to their attention, they did apologize. Then sent me the same estimate again. Last night I received a new email - not an estimate for the door but an invoice for it. No estimate or description of what would be done. Just a bill of almost $4000 for a door and work which didn't actually exist yet. Something had been vastly confused in the shower, but I'm puzzled that after that I'd still receive a stunning bill for a non-existent door One which I imagine would be incredibly epic on the little beach cottage it would end up on.
