This outdoor shopping plaza is very pleasant. Plenty of parking around both sides of the buildings. Lots of well manicured gardens, trees and grassy areas. Very nice street lamps. Wide side walks. Plenty of trash bins and benches. The buildings are also well maintained. There are presently several restaurants, a cafe, coffee shop, specialty food shop, furniture, jewelry and more. Professional/medical office space is located on the upper level. Very happy to have discovered this little gem. Will definitely return. read more

I have been to South County Commons many times, for shopping, eating or the movies. This open air mall is very cozy and cute. It was designed to look and feel like a traditional New England Village. The Cox service center is large and ample, and they have informed staff to help with internet or cable issues. The Mattress Firm store has pleasant salespeople that have helped us in the past with mattresses purchases. The cafes on site have been a great place to meet friends in the area. Conveniently located off of U.S. Route 1, about 30 miles south of Providence downtown, nearly 70 tenants call The Village at South County Commons home including restaurants, retailers, medical and dental practices, law firms, financial services as well as countless other professional offices. With a preschool, 8-screen cinema, fitness center, apartments, condominiums, independent and assisted living as well as two nationally-branded hotels, there's always something new and exciting to experience. Visitors and shoppers find much more than seaside charm at South County Commons here. Cyclists arrive through the picturesque stone entrance from the Rhode Island Bike Path. During the warmer months at the end of "Main Street" theres' a Summer Concert Series where the community gathers on the Circle for some live music. Also in the summer months, many come by for the Outdoor Movie Nights with complimentary popcorn provided by the on-site movie theater. What a neat place. Condominium community. Assisted living community. Restauarants including Applebees, Shogun (awesome sushi and teppanyaki style cooking), Tratorria Romana. Coffe shop. World Gym. Hair salon and day spa. Shopping. 8 screen movie theater. All less than 6 years old. Clean. Well though out and nice looking. We go for the moveis and the restaurants but it would be a great place to live. read more

Lived here for 5 years. Walking distance to everything : I used to call this the "Stepford Wives Community" as everything looked pristine, perfect, and had just about everything. The only 2 things missing were a gas station and a liquor store. The rest is at your fingertips. Snow? No problem : the maintenance guys are out there first thing in the morning, clearing parking lots, and will help you dig your car out if necessary. The one negative (and reason I gave this 4 stars) is that the rent is VERY pricey. 2 bedrooms start at the very minimum $1,400 a month. With that said, you can expect maintenance to be prompt, the front desk courteous, and the pool/gym area under-crowded, which makes the pill a bit easier to swallow. read more

This commercial plaza, rental community, condo community and assisted living community is a gem in South County. I have been living here for a while now and I have nothing but good things to say about it. We are all walking distance to so much in the plaza and with all this snow this year it has been great. Come see for yourself. This is a luxurious place for renters in my opinion. We have a movie theater, a gym, barrista, nails, hair, restaurants, clothing, spa, hotel, pool, daycare, 10 minute drive to the beach and a preserve full of beautiful deer out our back window. read more

SCC has some great stores that are fine to go to, depending when you come here. The best time to go to ANY restaurant, coffee shop or that movie theater is any time except fridays and saturdays after 3pm. If you go then, it is swarmed with punk-ass teenagers.
