Not only are they nice, they are super educational and helpful. I am a medical patient, and I am new to some of the "toys" and how to use them. I have purchased many pieces and extras from this specific shop and I love them all. The only time I had an issue with a New product, new to not only me but the shop. I gave this device a try even though I found zero reviews online. But peace pipe promised me if there was an issue, they would help me. I was super upset to figure out the piece I bought didn't work as we all expected. Not only did they try to help me figure out if we could get it to work, as I really wanted this piece; but when we found out it wasn't doing it's job, they refunded me my money. Which NO smoke shop would ever do. And I more than thank them as they also saw the product has an issue. I will definitely be putting that money towards something else with them! I just want to commend Matt the owner of the Peace Pipe on Dixie highway. He demonstrates exemplary customer service, and really takes care of the locals in the neighborhood. He is so nice, so generous, and so understanding. I bought a product there a couple months ago that failed, and I told Matt the story, and he said to bring it back for an even exchange on a new product of my choice. I finally did that today-and Matt upheld his promise, and really showed that he cares about his customers. Owner of store accused us of stealing. We were very kind the entire time. As we were leaving, she stepped behind our car and tried to refuse to let us leave. She was yelling and saying that we stole from her store. She said that one of us was holding a vanilla room spray bottle and didn't put it back (which was $5, max...we can very much afford that). When we explained to her that we'd already put it back, she continued to yell at us and stomped angrily into her store. We went back inside and showed her where we put the spray back. Today, I was treated in such a way that it still has me shocked. I visited The Peace Pipe Smoke Shop in Ft. Lauderdale, where I was an employee almost three years ago, to buy some incense since I was across the street. I was greeted with a warm hello by an employee before the owner, Mathew Ward, came out of his office. After some small talk his whole demeanor changed and started talking about visiting a location and how this location has him upset, after trying to change the conversation by asking how his baby was and complimenting the amount of things in the store, he kept pushing on how this store has him upset. He then orders me to look in his eyes like he has some sort of authority over me and then starts accusing me and two other past employees of taking product lines and even products from his store. I told him that I was only there to buy incense and not have any problems with anyone being that its been so long since I've worked there. He then accused me even more of fishing in his store for ideas, walked to the other room and stated "I don't know what you're doing or who you think you are but you better bounce before you get bounced on the floor" I proceeded to say bye to the person working there and told the owner how rude I found him and thanked him for this experience. After I left the store he proceeded to follow me to my car stating "I have it coming for me, you're gonna get it one day." pointing at me and making gestures like he's going to punch me in the face. I then asked him "Is that a threat?" He replied "That's a threat and a promise." I have never been treated in such an unprofessional, and rude manner in my entire life. I will never, ever step foot within the premises of The Peace Pipe again till the day my ashes are scattered and I hope not even an atom of ash touches such a horrible place. I will not take this lightly and will pursue justice to the fullest extent. Do what you will, but I ask you never to visit or support such an unprofessional business. Thank you for reading. I've been a customer of Peace Pipe for quite some time. They've got a large collection of everything having to do with smoking (and such). It's always been one of those shops where 99% of the time you have to ask them for help (most especially if the owner is there!) as they have a lackadaisical attitude about customers. Not that they're not friendly, mind you; just simply lacking in welcoming skills. But that's cool by me, because it's a smoke shop! All this said, I go there because it's convenient. Unfortunately, very recently, I encountered a particularly disturbing incident at Peace Pipe: My credit/debit card was used to debit an additional amount beyond my purchase! I have no clue how this happened, but can speculate that the person who rang-up my purchase, then (perhaps) didn't close out the charge somehow and utilized the same purchase order number to add an amount that was more than double my purchase price!!! Naturally, I called my bank immediately when I noted the additional charge the next day. My bank's rep in the dispute department tried (in vain) to conference the owner of the Peace Pipe by phone to get to the bottom of the additional (fraudulent) charge. Alas, after over 4 hours total waiting for a call-back, there was absolutely no follow-up by anyone at Peace Pipe -- a worker by the name of "Oliver" assured us that we'd get a call back because he had to wait for the owner to get to the store to give him a code so that he could check on the previous day's itemized receipts. Nada. I then went ahead and had the bank file a fraudulent claim case against Peace Pipe; which, of course, now means that I have the added inconvenience of having my card closed and reissued. At this point, it's in my bank's hands. If worse comes to worse, I suppose we could file a police report of theft to rectify this issue.... I'm sorely disappointed by Peace Pipe's lack of urgency, and their obvious contempt for its customers -- or, at least, to me.... I shall find another merchant to spend my money with.... read more
