If they miss you at home they leave a sticky note on your door with the attempted delivery time and when and where your package will end up for pickup. Usually to be safe, I'd suggest waiting until the next day so you don't get to the Purolator center while your package is still on the truck in transit. This Purolator is located in an industrial area of Pickering off of a one lane road. The signage is pretty visible on Squires Beach so you won't miss it. They have designated customer parking spots right outside of the customer entrance to the building. The entrance to the employee area is right next door but it's clearly labeled. The inside of the pick up area is small. There are some packing supplies like envelopes and boxes that you can purchase here. There wasn't anyone at the counter when I got there so I awkwardly tried to make a bit of noise in the front and hover until someone came out. I was asked for my ID to confirm my identity and presented my slip with my package info. The employee was pleasant to speak with and quick coming back with my parcel in hand. A pretty easy trip when all was said and done.

When my wife (the consignee) and I went with the pickup card still in hand, staff told us the package had already been given to "someone else." Purolator's own tracing team later admitted in writing that a "valid ID was used, but not the name at the time of pickup." In other words, they knowingly released a package to an unauthorized individual. Staff on-site promised a manager would follow up within 24 hours -- no one ever contacted us. Extremely unprofessional, negligent, and a clear security failure. If you value your packages or your identity, avoid this branch at all costs.
