The photo area is always unmanned-- I end up standing there for several minutes before having to track someone down. Customer service is hit or miss, and the checkout lanes remain crowded together with little regard for spacing. My most recent experience was especially frustrating. I stopped in quickly on my way to an event to purchase deodorant, only to find that the barcode wouldn't scan. A passing employee confirmed there was no price in the system at all. After already waiting in line several minutes, this was the final straw-- I left without making a purchase. For such a common item not to even appear in inventory shows a lack of organization and attention to detail. This store gives the impression of being poorly managed and not customer-focused.

A fairly new store on DelMonte across from the auto center in one of many strip malls. Let's be clear it's not a Japanese store it's an Asian store with about maybe 10 to 15 percent being Japanese. That being said, it's filled with the most common Asian items found in almost all Asian markets like this one. Instant noodles, jarred and canned condiments. A few bags of rice and some drinks. No frozen, no fresh. And that's about it. The lady up front (owner maybe) was very nice. The prices seemed average to other markets and the selection was just okay. Here's my personal take. The pharmacist said it was $71 and they don't take Kaiser insurance. I told my husband that's too much and we'd wait until we get home. The pharmacist said we could look online for a coupon. She told us about goodrx. I found a coupon for $50 for the medication we needed. I thought it was nice of her to tell us about the coupon/discount site. That's why I'm giving it 4 stars. It's still pricey since it would only be $5 with our insurance.
