It was quite confusing to find the meetup point at the beginning, but asking the hotel staff did help us getting there. We went on the high-tide day so needed to walk a bit from the usual boarding area. Probably helpful to remind people wearing slippers as you'd need to take shoes off. They did provide proper and plenty storage spaces for your footwear on the boat (appreciated!). Drinks were pretty much bottomless and they had their very own Mai Tai so you could really enjoy the 'complete Hawaiian package'! The only problem with high tide day, it meant be prepped to get wet and going on and off the boat would be quite tricky as you needed to manage timing to avoid the tide from getting you soaking wet. I was unfortunately not the pro and literally got half-bottom wet, getting off the boat LOL. Paid off by the gorgeous sunset view!!

Can't say enough good things about our tour and, especially, about Francesco and Kasha. We booked a…read moresmall group tour aboard the Keanuenue. Francesco and Kasha were so genuine and welcoming; they made everything super easy for all of us. They provided clear info about where we were headed and what we could expect to see, as well as important safety information. We had just about the most perfect day you could ask for--almost zero wind, calm waters, perfect visibility to the bottom of the sea. Once we were in the water, Kasha shepherded us to the best spots and told us about the fish we were seeing. Several times she dove to the bottom to point out a starfish, an octopus, or other interesting sea life. She also did a great job keeping us separate from the throngs so we could enjoy our more intimate small group experience. After our time in the water, Francesco gave us some time to relax and take family photos with Diamond Head as a backdrop. The only thing I wish they gave a bit more info about was parking (prior to the tour). They do provide a map showing the acceptable parking areas, but it can still be somewhat unclear where to park, and if there's an event going on (like a farmer's market) parking might be limited. Also, the two apps you can use to pay for parking (ParkMobile or ParkWhiz, via QR codes posted in the lot) may not make it clear that you can park in the lot pretty much all day; the duration options that popped up initially made it seem like 3 hours was the max, but this can be customized. Three hours is plenty for the tour, but we didn't want to risk it and also wanted to visit the farmer's market afterwards, so we paid for 4 hours (was about $13.50). Instead of just 1125 Ala Moana Blvd, use 1125A in Google Maps, and it should take you to the easiest lot to park in, with lots of shade and plenty of spots, assuming you get there early. Piers A and C, where you'll check in, are just across the driveway from that lot. Parking ended up being super easy; I just would've liked slightly clearer info. But this did not, in any way, detract from our experience. We got there early enough to figure it out. Next time we're back in Honolulu, we will be eager to sail with Hawaii Ocean Charters again.
