Contacted scan computers after failed attempt at a warranty repair on a laptop that was faulty from…read morenew, I did not think it was appropriate to buy a new laptop and have it be faulty out of the box, having sent in for repair and the laptop come back with the same issue and worse, I contacted scan explaining the situation. I said I contacted ASUS when the laptop came back from the first repair and it still had the issue and they wanted me to send it back again for another "repair, explaining I could not due this due to not being able ti go without a laptop for that long due to work with no guarantee of a fix. I got the following as a patronising response. Further to your email response and just to confirm, am I correct in my understanding that the laptop is currently still in your possession? I would expect that ASUS' repair centre would not be able to carry out any repairs/replacements without the unit there with them already. Returned it under warranty, got further damaged in the transport organised by them. Their support claims it was damaged before I sent it back, implying I am a lier and a thief. * Update: after escalation, SCAN repaired the damage from transport. Unfortunately the initial fault is still here, so sent back with CPU and memory for fixing. Will update.

All work has been carefully explained and demonstrated to me, even though this might stop my needing to call again. I recommend the shop to all my friends with computers as some of them are almost Luddites and need expert help! This is the best place to go. There is always a good stock of pre-owned stock as well, all in excellent, renovated, condition. Recently "killed" my laptop; confirmed by many that it wasn't feasible to repair it. Martyn at Cheshire Custom PC found me a (used) replacement within a week for what I was expecting to pay for the repair. It turned out to be an improvement - especially when he put my old hard drive in and it worked perfectly - absolutely no data lost! The photos shown are out of date as it is now a very easy to get to stall in Warrington Market.
