Have used this place 3X. I've done some research on prices and they have the best price. My son just got his license today! They are easy to work with and scheduling was no problem. They send a text for a reminder. We had Larry for our son. My son thought he was strict and a little scary but good. On their last day, Larry marked them for 7 mistakes, but during his behind the wheels for the DMV, he was only marked with one mistake. I think it's great that Larry is strict. All I can say is WOW! I am so so grateful I went with this business to help me learn to drive! From the start everything was very professional. My instructor was Rosalie and she was amazing! I went from being scared to even drive around my neighborhood to driving to Salinas from King City on a regular basis with confidence. I highly recommend Instructor Rosalie, she is a kind and patient instructor. If you are considering this driving school, I recommend it, but I don't recommend Larry as your instructor. I'm giving this three stars instead of one because of the other great reviews I saw with the other instructors. However, my instructor, Larry, was such a character. Unprofessional. He was rude, impatient, and inconsiderate. Every course was awkward and dreading. He always had an attitude when I made a slight mistake or when I asked him a question or mentioned something. He'd raise his voice a lot or say everything in like a slightly passive but aggressive tone. He also wasn't helpful or encouraging at all which I expect from a driving instructor. One time I made a mistake because I simply just didn't know one of the rules on the road and he started throwing a temper tantrum. I tried to explain myself by telling him "I thought this was the same as the last one" (it was a traffic light right turning rule with yield signs and no yield signs. I stopped on a yield sign after he said to stop at a red light before turning right.) After this, he flipped. He threw his pen and started screaming and making such a big deal saying that I'm putting words in his mouth??? And he was just so mad. I was just trying to drive on the road and now I have a grown man acting like a little kid who won't get their way. That was only just the worst moment I had. He'd do this a lot, if I made a slight mistake he'll just raise his voice and speak like super suddenly with a really rude tone. It's not my fault I don't know this stuff, thats his job to teach me about it so I don't fail the license test, right?? One time I wondered if it was legal to leave a parking space a certain way and he didn't even answer the question he just repeated what he said before but louder. Another time I asked if I could enter a left turn lane at a light with a car in front of me slightly blocking the lane but there was space to go. He didn't answer the question either, he just said "what do you think?" I didn't know, that's why I asked. Another time I was going just slightly above the speed limit and he told me to slow down. I didn't know I couldn't go above for the license test so I asked, "I can't do that?" And he got super mad and explained to me what the dmv will do if I did that but super aggressively. There's another review on here that explains him raising his voice to get his point across, and I totally agree with that. I also agree with whatever that reviewer said about him telling me to slow down. He never answers my questions during the course and like I said he just becomes unnecessarily rude about it until the end of the course when I get dropped off and he asks if I have any questions, but I usually forget them by then because I'm so focused on the road. He also doesn't consider anything I have to say and just denies the fact that he's wrong sometimes. There were some times where I'll knowingly make a mistake or seem to make one but don't, but he'll exaggerate it and act like I did make one and start going off on me again. I literally can't explain myself because he'll just believe himself and himself only. I honestly don't know what to say because I can't explain myself without him scolding me so I just tell him something like "okay, sorry" because he'd be very irritated but instead of accepting it or just moving on from it he'd tell me like "ITS YOUR CHOICE" or like imply that it is my fault to rub it in my face. Every time he'd explain something about the dmv and me failing the driving test, which was every time he spoke more than a sentence, he would get lost in his words and it would become a mumble, which I think is just goofy. I'm so glad the course is over because I can't believe I had to experience people like this. I could've switched to a different instructor, but the place wasn't open on the weekends and my mom already booked a dmv appointment for the day after my last course and our schedules are tight, so it was best to just stay with this one. Sorry for the long review. I'm just very disappointed with the fact that I could have been experiencing what these other reviews have been saying with their instructors for the same price. Like I said in the beginning, he was rude, impatient, and inconsiderate. I can't think of a calmer synonym to describe my experience with this instructor than just ridiculous. I just feel that it wasn't professional at all and it wasn't very exciting especially as a child wanting to start driving. It is almost impossible to get an appointment or a call back when you leave a message to schedule an appointment from PC driving school. It has been a struggle to make appointments. Calling sometimes 3-4 times a day. Leaving messages with no call back. Thank goodness we're one away from my son getting signed off & getting his license. The two sessions my son has had were good. Once we finally got a hold of someone, they were very accommodating in making an appointment for him. He felt comfortable with his instructor & it was nice they picked him up. Sad since my daughter had such a good experience with them 3 years ago. No issues making an appointment for her. I only needed one lesson before I took my test and was able to pass! Rosalie was my instructor. Her humor & conversation helped me feel more comfortable while driving. I have had many experiences of being yelled at while driving so to have such an encouraging and patient instructor was so needed. Additionally I rented a car with PC Driving School, the process was seamless and it was reassuring having Rosalie come to the DMV for support. I was unable to bring my permit the day of my driving test and was panicking. I wouldn't have even tried to take my test amidst my panick if it weren't for Rosalie's support. I was fortunate that they were able to reprint my permit at the DMV so I was able to take my test. I thought I was not a good driver but having one person rooting for me, being concise on what I can fix, and giving me opportunities to learn from my mistakes was a breakthrough for me. Lastly, I appreciated the thorough notes I received after my lesson on what to improve and the prices were reasonable. read more

Not to happy with their driving instructor assigned to my daughter. My husband and I chose to pay for my daughter to be taught by a professional driving instructor to help her pass her drivers test. Someone with advance training in teaching teenagers how to drive and with a lot of patience. That is not what my daughter received. First she showed up about 20 minutes late, which the front desk explained might happen. Not sure if this is all the time. Once my daughter got back she said that the instructor was yelling at her and made comments about her not passing her drivers test, making her feel as a failure and uncomfortable. The worst part was her mentioning that her instructor was periodically on her phone through out the driving lesson. Texting or calling another instructor and the office, unrelated to my daughter. That is probably my biggest problem with this. I don't allow my daughter to be on the phone or even have the car radio on when we take her out driving, why would we be ok with the instructor doing it. Well a few times she said she missed some turns and ran a red light because the instructor was occupied on her phone. Very unprofessional!!! I am surprised not to read more bad reviews on Yelp regarding this. Sorry but we are not happy with PC driving and will be going somewhere else. I do not recommend this program to any one that has a teenager just learning to drive. I just hope that my review will be read by the owners and have them remedy this before their instructors cause an accident. Also, please... please have more patients. A lot of these students are already nervous and have little to no experience driving. Yelling at them only makes them loose focus and make mistakes. Just some suggestions from a concern parent. Of course the instructor which we found out could be the owner will try and explain and weasel her way out of this review. People she was horrible we are not making this up. Still can't believe she was txting & on the phone while the vehicle was in motion with a beginner driver. Of course she'll blame it on my kid either way I encourage all to go elsewhere. The owner thinks she's the only play in town! She refused to enroll my daughter and had her assistant hang up on me because I refused to give them my physical address or my daughter's personal cell phone number! For some reason my cell phone number wasn't good enough? Also, they refused to do pickup and drop off at their local office and insisted they pickup and drop off my daughter at her residence...Super suspicious and shady if you ask me! Why do they they think they are entitled to any of that information unless the customer is willing to provide it? I really don't want some adult stranger knowing where we my young daughter lives and if she had a cellphone, I definitely wouldn't give them her phone number! I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau and May even seek further legal advise! read more

My son has completed his training yesterday, and went for his behind-the-wheel test today. Apparently, however, there are things you need to do before they allow you to take the actual test - you need to know how to operate the parking brake, where the windshield defrost is, how to show left/right turn and stop signals with your arms if your lights aren't working properly - which the instructor has never explained to him. Because of that, we had to reschedule the test, and that takes at least 15 days. I have taken my own test some 20 years ago. I had no memories of such things being required. It is, I believe, the instructor's responsibility to make the student aware. It took us less than three minutes to go over that stuff. I did call the instructor to discuss this, and he confirmed those things were never discussed. His response? "I gave your son a checklist." Really? What a disappointment. I hope other families do not go through the same issue. read more

Ive heard many good things from friends and around school. The receptionist was helpful. She explained everything and mentioned possible tardinesses. There is a wall of reviews in the office I knew I came to the right place. My instructor was amazing very friendly and patient. She taught me so much i had no idea how much there was to learn. I had a great experience here at PC Driving School, Rosalie was my instructor and was very helpful and patient with me, answered all of my questions. I definitely felt safe during my behind the wheel class. Due to Covid, we had to wear masks, and she definitely made safety a priority from screening me, and sanitizing the inside of the car before and after our sessions. It was very helpful that the instructors came over to pick me up and drop me off at my house, due to my parents busy schedule. About a month ago I decided to take some drive lessons since nobody in my family has the time to teach me, as I walk into the office I'm greeted by a nice receptionist lady who got me in and out in a fast/polite manner. It seems that they're pretty busy since I had to wait a month to get my first lesson. I'm rating this place 3 stars due to hearing positive things about other instructors as well as the receptionist (Its not fair to them). My instructor (Larry) showed up earlier than expected (5-10minutes earlier). I was greeted by him nicely, everything was nice and good. We start going on the road and of course I make some mistakes but this guy seemed really impatient with me and had some anger issues. Literally looks like he's on the verge of screaming to get his point across (he already had his voice pretty loud). Every time he would instruct me to do something such as slow down I'd be; "SLOW DOWN SLOW DOWN SLOW DOWN" with an irritated tone. It made me seriously uncomfortable and a lot more nervous than I already had to be. Maybe I'll come back and give another instructor a shot but for now I think I'll go somewhere else. read more

All I can say is wow. I'd just like to start off with saying none of this was exaggerated or made up, it was to crazy for me to make up. I like to think of myself as polite and a person who can tolerate pretty much everything that's thrown at me, but this was really out there. Not even sure really where to start. Lets see, my first lesson with the instructor, she was thirty minutes late and didn't call till twenty minutes after she was suppose to be there. She called to inform me she was still a ways away getting gas because "the other instructor forgot to fill up the car" (even though I'm pretty sure she's the only instructor). Then for the next hour she complained about her personal life, issues with her coworkers, how clients are annoying and so on. After that we sat in awkward silence until we made it to my destination. The second lesson is where red flags started going off in my head that we made a huge mistake hiring this company. A little back story to my second lesson they canceled/rescheduled my second lesson twice, so my mom called the office multiple times but could never get ahold of anyone, and when she finally did the guy managing the phones wouldn't give her a strait answer. So she got Rosalie's (driving instructor/owner) number and called her about thirty minutes before opening hours to make sure my appointment was still on. Apparently Rosalie didn't like this and started yelling at my mother for calling her before hours. Anyways I was picked up at my school twenty minutes late, and about five minutes later the instructor started unloading on me about how rude my mother was, and about how my mom shouldn't be calling her and questioning her before hours. I don't know a lot about customer satisfaction but I'm sure a ground rule is to not complain about the customers mother to the customer. After this I'm wondering if they do psych evaluations on driving instructors. I'm pretty sure this is the most unprofessional driving school out there. Then as she's on her phone and I'm thinking things can't get weirder, then we pass by her aunts house. And her aunt is walking somewhere, so she has me pull up next to her. They exchange conversation and moments later her aunt is in the backseat and I'm driving her to the grocery store. Soon after this we arrived at my house, I got out of the car, politely thanked her and walked through my front door, and started wondering if I was in the twilight zone, or hell. Then the dreaded third lesson. This time she was on time one out of three not bad, they did say expect delays. This lesson didn't start out as weird, it was the better of the three. I was picked up at school at about 1:20, and a few minutes into the lesson she said she was hungry so she had me drive her to get her some food. So we stopped and she picked up a sandwich and we continued to drive. About twenty minutes from my house her co-worker called her (and by the way her phones hooked up to the radio so I end up listening to her conversations) and reminded her that her "next appointment was at 4:20, blaze it". A few moments pass by and her co-worker called her again telling her his friend just brought over a 40. Rosalie tries to play it off by saying "ya a 40 of water", but then her co-worker quickly replies with and I quote "a 40 of tequila". She then tries to jokingly reprimand him by telling him he can't on the job and then hangs up. She then tries to brush it off by telling me and I quote "I hate it when the joke with me like that", and "they're even underage". All I can say is thank God my business with PC Driving is done. I hope sharing my experience helps someone to make a wiser choice than I. Or if parents, you want to punish your kid this is a great solution. read more

If I could rate them with no stars I would, unfortunately Yelp requires that I give them at least one. First off, the woman instructor who claimed to be the owner showed up 20 mins late. As soon as she pulled up to pick up my daughter she started yelling at us about her personal problems at home and blaming them for being late. I first want to say I could never be a driving instructor. We have used p c driving especially Rosalie with two of my kids now. We recommend her to all our friends. Neither one of my kids had been behind the wheel of a car. She taught them very well she also gives extensive notes, was patient and made them comfortable. First time I met her she seemed rude, The more we saw her it's obvious that she is shy. With the kids however which is the only thing that matters she is great. One time we forgot we had a class scheduled they were flexible and didn't give us a hard time about it. She came out to our house every class twice out of six times she was about 10 minutes late. Now it says to expect delays on their paperwork but we understand why. If you want an instructor who is patient and cares about your teen go to pc driving school. read more

***This is only for the person answering the phone*** I left a detailed message and she called me back saying, "I missed a call from this number." Not, "Hello, this is so and so from PC Driving. I actually listened to the message you took the time to leave and therefore am prepared to speak with you. How can I help you schedule your child's drivers training?" Lost 1 star for being painfully unprofessional. Lost 2nd star because she never told me her name nor even asked mine. 3rd star went bye bye because she is beyond incompetent. I had to repeat most things two or three times and she still got things wrong. She was heavy with the "ums." 4th star was taken for wasting my time. Had she listened to my call and known why she was speaking with me, she should have lined up several appointment options. Instead we sat in silence for over 5 minutes while she waited for an instructor to confirm my child's appointment....only to come back to me with a different appointment than the one we had already discussed. I truly hope that this company representative does not actually represent the quality of the company. We shall see. read more

So glad that I decided to go to PC Driving School for behind the wheel training. I enrolled for a couple of the adult sessions and I am very thankful I got Rosalie as my instructor. She is very patient in giving instructions and remains calm which helps you ease your nervousness. In my case I was very anxious to go on my lessons since I had only driven once or twice before, Rosalie made sure I felt comfortable, she gave me the confidence to be out in the road. Thanks to her excellent ability to teach I was able to pass my driving test on the first try I only missed 4 which is not bad for someone that had only been driving for three months. If you want an instructor that is realiable and trustworthy I would definitely recommend Rosalie, I will forever be thankful for her, having my license made my life much easier for getting around from school to work and also being able to go to different places. Overall I am very happy with my experience at this school I would definitely recommend them, especially Rosalie, thanks to her I learned to be a safe and confident driver. I have heard some very good things about PC Driving school from my friends who did their behind the wheel course. I signed up for it and paid in full when i was 16. I was unable to take the actual course until i was 17, in the time between they lost my information and tried to get me to repay for it. I had to argue with the office rep for thirty minutes telling him that I had the receipt and the statement proving I paid. After I finally got all of that sorted out it took another two weeks before they gave my information to an instructor, whom of which called me at 8 o'clock at night while i was at work. his name is Larry, I scheduled my first lesson for Tuesday and a second one for Wednesday. When i got into the car he asked me if i had driven before and then he began to tell me a cryptic story about some girl in Hollister that died while driving. He told me to proceed driving without telling me anything about the controls. He didnt give me any instruction and yelled at me when i was "driving to eratically". He was crazy. He took me to practice backing up against a curb and didn't suggest that i look over my shoulder and in the mirror to correctly back up. After the second driving lesson with that creep i tried getting a hold of the owner to request a different instructor. I called twice a week for a month leaving messages but none of them were returned until a few weeks ago when she left me an attitude filled voice mail saying she was my new instructor. She did not specify that she was the owner returning my call, it wasn't until later when she called me again that she said she was the owner. She kept calling me late at night for some reason, i work closing night shifts. I told them this so they could call me in the afternoon when i could take their calls. When i finally was able to have a phone conversation with the owner Rosaline over the phone she gave me attitude to the point where i hung up. Overall I had a horrible experience at PC Driving school. The employees are rude and low rent. I would not recommend this school to anyone. If you want to receive a good driving education go to Elischers Driving School. Everytime i call them they are friendly and ready to help, unlike PC where it is difficult to even get them on the phone. read more
