I decided to take it to another shop to see if they could retrieve any of the data from the disc hard drive and all the files were corrupted and didn't contain enough data to retrieve. They also pointed out that the SSD wasn't even being used...the operating system was booting from the disc hard drive not the Solid State Drive. They advised that they would have transfered the operating system to the SSD and partitioned off the bad start-up sequence on the disc hard drive...that way all of my data would have been saved ! When he installed my SSD to replace the disc hard drive that was operating the system he didn't transfer the start-up or operation system to the SSD. So basically.... he completely wiped my disc hard drive and all of my data with it when it could have been easily saved by a knowledgeable tech. Years of pictures...gone....What a waste!
