We visited in September 2024 and I thought I had posted a review, but sometimes when I'm writing…read morereviews in the car while in-transit, they get lost in the either, so here I am again! We didn't get an early start and by the time we arrived there were lines miles away from the entrances. Police were directing traffic down different streets toward different parking areas. So plan to arrive early. Parking is in grassy fields surrounding the fairgrounds and there is a *lot of it so plan to walk quite a way to and from your vehicle and to drive 'off road' for a bit. Definitely do not bring your sports car if you can help it because those fields have ruts. The road way we walked in on was dirt and they did have a tractor pulling a cart if you wanted a ride that went by occasionally. Strollers and/or wagons for the smaller ones if an absolute must. There are a few entrances into the fairgrounds so make note of which entrance you are parked near. There are maps of the fairgrounds available inside (we were not offered one upon entry) at an information kiosk we stumbled upon. They also have designated 'meet up' spots in case you get separated from members of your group so maybe find those and let the kids know where to meet up if they get lost. And we *did come across some lost children who were frightened out of their wits so please do let the little one's know what to do if they get separated from you. (Yes, someone helped them locate their family but it still breaks my heart see how scared they were.) We enjoyed our visit to the Deerfield Fair. Although we did not partake of any of their ride options, we very much enjoyed their farm demonstration and exhibits. From the pig barn to award winning veg and chutneys it's a lot of fun. We also took in some heavy stock pulling competition in one of the outdoor areas. I can assure you the shady side was full, so plan on getting a seat early if you need a rest and shade (or sun). I really enjoyed the roving Pirate dressed in full gear, playing pirate and nautical music on his motorized pirate ship. Brought a smile to my face! There are plenty of food options here. Definitely something for everyone and we tried a couple of options. It was a beautiful day and the fair was super busy so there were definitely lines for food no matter the time of day. The staff in the food trucks were all lovely even with all the crowds needing attention. We took a walk through the kids petting zoo, and a tent full of old tractors that was very interesting. They also had a demonstration of several old motorized farm equipment pieces. Whether you are here for historic farm equipment, modern rides, fair food, cow barns, pigs, award winning veg or tractor pulls, Deerfield Fair has you covered. Wear you walking shoes!

It's located on 100 acres and during those four days, it had approximately 100,000 visitors. I really enjoyed experiencing this historic fair. It happens annually every September and probably the largest fair I've been to. I love the autumn and New England setting; it just feels super New England. Parking was plentiful when we went but I can understand if people get lost since there were so many cars. Also, if you have a low frame car, becareful because there were tons of deep potholes under all that grass. There were so many vendor tents, activities, and events. There were horse shows, live music, circus, magic show, rides, fair food, and petting zoo to name a few. I really enjoyed the variety of foods; so many to choose from. There were tons and tons of people. My family and I had a great time.

Browsed the vendors outside which had a variety of food, items, clothing, etc. Had lunch from the trucks. Got a bowl from the Mediterranean place which was not good, compared it to chipotle-style (but in my opinion, chipotle is actually yummier) Also got a falafel wrap which was okay, nothing to write home about. Would probably opt to eat elsewhere or opt for different stalls. The empanadas stall looked more delicious (and more popular)

It was a super cool market with a decent amount of vendors, live music, and a convenient location. I was a little unimpressed by the prices and variety of vendors, a lot of shops felt like they offered the same thing. Still, there were some great knick-knacks and finds! My favorite vendor was Amisha, I got this super gorg kaftan. Bathrooms were a bit difficult to find, so know they are inside the art building. Don't wait too long to go find them because the lines were super long! I could see this being an ok spot to take kids and pets, however, the limited shade might get to them quickly. If too hot, walking 2 mins over to check out the vintage market is the move! Might need to swing back here to try out the food trucks and pick up this vase I didn't follow through on.

The whole atmosphere is cold, not inviting and boring. No distinction, character or charm. Before there used to be. Under better prior management I presume. Removing the iconic waterfall? Big mistake. It was elegantly paved with small penny fountains. It was timeless. This urge to just nuke what was beloved to make everything look like a clinical and soulless hallway. All employees at almost every store are glued to their phone and not present at all to customers. You don't make money that way. Even the joke of security guards are glued to their phones outside Gucci. What a joke. In unpredictable and trying times like these, inflation isn't going anywhere and high end stores need to actually try. It was never this catered to the 1%. You could actually go to a restaurant or store and not feel like you've been robbed and facing a debt to pay off for a year. Management can waste their breath saying that Copley was simply updated to keep up with trends. Well, you failed. There's no heart, hardly any selection, all classic architectural which features attracted people from all over the world - destroyed where you do not know where you are. What once was a place of wonderment, excitement and to spark your Christmas Spirit, is now simply a drain of disappointment as you go home with a sigh. Management - you don't have to bother responding. You obviously made decisions to destroy the good made by top notch engineers. It's too late. Sad.

This year I entered into the photography competition and won 2nd place for both my pictures, so cool! What a great experience to be apart of the fair this year and take part in my community. The food is always so good! You can never go wrong. I love the Kettle Corn. Tried the tacos this year, oh my goodness... so good. I love every part of the fair; the animals are wonderful to see (saw some huge milk cows! I mean huge), the exhibition hall is amazing (so cool to see how people poor so much of their life and time into agriculture and home making), the maple house is amazing, the people are awesome, and it's just a good good county fair! My favorite part of the fair is the old barn way out back, by the race track to the left. Everything in there is from a different time period and I LOVE it! I love how they always have the stove burning hot because every time I go in there it's in the evening and usually cold out. Great place to warm your hands and think about how others lived 50-100 years ago. Its great. I love the old school house set up too. That's my fav! I just love Cumberland County and it's fair!

They only had one ATM at the entrance and many people forgot cash so we had to wait in line for 45 mins for the ATM! The ticket line was fast so that was a good thing. So Don't forget your CASH. They have a few rides, lots of games, LOTS of food, a petting barn, animals and a grandstand with all kinds of entertainment. There is plenty to do and at $15 to get in and free parking it's not a bad price. Food is expensive but all fair food is. We got a bloomin onion, and I got a hot Italian sausage and both were great and exactly what I wanted in fair food. They had so many options I didn't know what to pick. The rodeo was going on but it was super crowded and we could not find a seat. Overall great fair experience just bring cash and expect large crowds as it was really packed.

I think the most prevalent thing I've noticed is how there are a lot of entertainment options now. Dave and Busters was the first to open, followed by Level 99. Now there's also a Puttshack and a Bosee Pickleball club. I think this adds a layer because it turns into "just a mall" to a social gathering spot where you could shop, eat, or have fun. There's something for all ages with this. Now when it comes to the shopping, there's still your average clothing stores, there's beauty and jewelry stores like Sephora and Pandora, and also a Macys if you want a department store. There's also a wing with more high-level luxury stores, like a Zara, Louis Vitton, Tiffany, and David Yurman. I think this area is nice if you want luxury but not to travel into Boston. There's a lot of empty stores in this wing too so hopefully they get filled soon. Food options are good too, they have a food court, Cheesecake Factory, P.f. chang's., California Kitchen pizza, and the food inside of the entertainment places too. Overall this mall has been renovated a lot, and I think for the better. It encompasses a lot and you don't have to come here just to shop, but you can if you'd like. I will say though they have plenty of parking which includes free garages, people are still unkind around the holidays and you might be circling around for a while before you find a spot. Parking is always hard here no matter what and I know people who avoid this mall because of it, which is sad but I get it. I heard if you come on a weekday morning it's better.
