Just before noon I went on Angi's list to replace my water heater. I received a call from Payless in less than 5 minutes. I had Jose at my doorstep about an hour later. He was helpful, informative and professional. I agreed to purchase a new heater at what I already knew was a very fair price. Juan arrived at my door around 2:30. Very pleasant, he went right to work and by 4:00 he said goodbye. He did a great job and cleaned up after. Looking forward to a hot shower in a little while. Six stars! read more

Jared B the technician was very helpful with a good disposition. When I called to set up appointment, they were responsive & polite. They text & called when they were arriving a little early. They replaced all the pipes that needed to be changed. Obviously no one wants to spend the money to replace their water heater. However, if you do need a water heater company, I would recommend this company. read more

Jared B was great and very quick/efficient! He came out on a Sunday and replaced our water heater in under two hours. I also appreciated what a nice guy he was during the process. I would definitely recommend Payless and Jared for any water heater needs. read more

first off the whole water heater industry reeks of used car salesmen. when they first arrived they quoted several "packages" all of which were well over $1000 MORE than the first quote i got from another company. magically they priced matched it... please make sure if youre getting quotes over $2k for a basic water heater keep trying... now this company came in matched a $1.3k initial quote for a 50G, hooked up the new one and guess what the new one was only working at 50% because the actual issue was a bad breaker... now i guess its my fault for not asking them to diagnose the original water heater, but to say its dishonest to just sell me a brand new one when I didnt even need a new one would be accurate because they could have prevented the work by just checking the electrical in 2 seconds with a meter. this company is not interested in being honest theyre interested in getting as much money from you read more

My water heater was leaking out of nowhere. We called Payless Water Heaters who came out within an hour. The technician inspected and gave me a few options to choose from. Payless had the brand I wanted but the unit wasn't available (apparently they carry a few unit in their work van) but since they didn't have it with them that day, he was able to scheduled me for the following day. They were very flexible and accommodating to fit into my schedule. Joseph Oksas came the next day and he was very pleasant to work with. He explained each and every steps of everything he was doing and even consistently carried a smile while I was asking so many questions. The call center said it will take about 2 hours to complete the job but Joseph O was done in an hour. At the end of the job, he went over everything in details and explained to me what I should expect. There are some reviews on Yelp saying Payless doesn't honor their warranty but those are just some angry yelpers because although the parts are covered under the warranty, labor cost isn't which SHOULD be very acceptable and understandable. All in all, this has been one of the best experiences: excellent customer service, impeccable work, super fast and reliable. AND having someone smile while working is something that can't be taught and Payless definitely has all of those qualities. You won't be disappointed! read more

As you can see, I do not write many reviews but this service is worth mentioning. We had issues with our Tankless system and called Payless. My 20 year old tank water heater needed to be replaced. I decided to go tankless and decided on Noritz. I knew going tankless wasn't going to be cheap, but cheap wasn't the determinating factor. Called a few certified Noritz installers for quotes, but Payless was the only one that sent a person out to speak to me and address my concerns and questions about how the unit was going to be installed. I'm OCD about things. Have to be. I love my home and my garage. Jose showed up and addresses all my concerns. That was the thing that made me went with them. Josh came out and did the install. He did and awesome install and I am very happy with how it turned out. I highly recommend these guys. It wasn't cheap, but well worth it! read more

While going through home repairs due to water damage, our water heater started leaking too. When it rains, it pours, right? I discovered the issue on Saturday morning and immediately called around to get quotes. I usually follow the rule of getting 3 quotes and decide based on good, better, and best. Payless was the 2nd vendor to drop by and I already knew I did not need a 3rd quote. Besides the urgency of the situation, they worked with me right there and then about the scope of work and negotiated a reasonable price. Done in less than 3 hours. So far so good! Manny was really helpful and easy to deal with. Thank you! read more

Julie S. - I loved everything about my two service appointments with Payless Water Heaters. They have been in business for a long time as a family business that has grown due to great service, and it shows. Their technicians are fabulous, honest, and hardworking. Their communication with clients is top notch, and their rates are fantastic. I'm very happy with the way that I was helped when my water heater's pilot light first went out. I was given a fair price, and a quote for replacing my water heater. The technician's words turned out exactly right - in a few months I had cold water again. My water heater was put in in 2008. I needed a new one! So I called Payless and got a new water heater installed the next day. Amazing. read more
