first off the whole water heater industry reeks of used car salesmen. when they first arrived they quoted several "packages" all of which were well over $1000 MORE than the first quote i got from another company. magically they priced matched it... please make sure if youre getting quotes over $2k for a basic water heater keep trying... now this company came in matched a $1.3k initial quote for a 50G, hooked up the new one and guess what the new one was only working at 50% because the actual issue was a bad breaker... now i guess its my fault for not asking them to diagnose the original water heater, but to say its dishonest to just sell me a brand new one when I didnt even need a new one would be accurate because they could have prevented the work by just checking the electrical in 2 seconds with a meter. this company is not interested in being honest theyre interested in getting as much money from you read more

My water heater was leaking out of nowhere. We called Payless Water Heaters who came out within an hour. The technician inspected and gave me a few options to choose from. Payless had the brand I wanted but the unit wasn't available (apparently they carry a few unit in their work van) but since they didn't have it with them that day, he was able to scheduled me for the following day. They were very flexible and accommodating to fit into my schedule. Joseph Oksas came the next day and he was very pleasant to work with. He explained each and every steps of everything he was doing and even consistently carried a smile while I was asking so many questions. The call center said it will take about 2 hours to complete the job but Joseph O was done in an hour. At the end of the job, he went over everything in details and explained to me what I should expect. There are some reviews on Yelp saying Payless doesn't honor their warranty but those are just some angry yelpers because although the parts are covered under the warranty, labor cost isn't which SHOULD be very acceptable and understandable. All in all, this has been one of the best experiences: excellent customer service, impeccable work, super fast and reliable. AND having someone smile while working is something that can't be taught and Payless definitely has all of those qualities. You won't be disappointed! read more

Today is Sunday, August 1, 2021. At 7:20 am this morning we had NO HOT WATER. I called Payless at 7:30 expecting to leave a message on an answering machine. To my surprise, a nice lady answered the phone and said she could have someone over today between 8-10am. Now this is punctual service ! Sure enough, a wonderful installer/repair man "Danny" (also known as Daniel) showed up as scheduled. He removed our old hot water tank, cleaned up all the water debris mess and installed a brand new water heater. This was all done for a reasonable price and by 11:15am, the new hot water heater had been installed and we had hot water again. Danny was excellent. If I could give Payless 10 stars, I would.
