Ultimately, I decided to proceed with Parrot Overhead Garage Door based on what I had read online about Thomas, its owner. From experience, I've learned that it's worth working directly with small-business owners because they have a personal stake in their reputation, and that was certainly the case with Thomas. Everything I had read about him turned out to be true. He is professional, highly experienced, responsive, honest, and transparent about his estimate. There were no unnecessary upsells or high-pressure sales tactics. His quote wasn't the cheapest I received but the quality of his work and the overall experience were absolutely worth it. I highly recommend Thomas and Parrot Overhead Garage Door to anyone who needs a new garage door or garage door service. You'll be in good hands.

We reached out to Austin Overhead Door Company late on a Friday afternoon due to a commercial door…read morethat would not close. Given that leaving this door open until Monday (normal business hours) was not an option for security reasons, it was critical that we at least get the door to close before we went home. Austin Overhead was actually the 3rd overhead door company we reached out to, and the first that actually lived up to the "24/7 emergency response" claim (the other 2 stated that Monday was the earliest they could come out). I spoke to Bill who assured me he would have someone out that evening to take a look, and not only did they come out as promised, Thomas and Simon actually arrived within about 20 minutes! Next came the challenge of the door itself. Without going into all the steps they needed to close this day, I will simply say that Thomas really knew what he was doing, and he and Simon were able to get the door closed after much diligence, a bit of hard work, and even a few acrobatics! The door was closed and we were able to go home... but it did not end there! Additional repairs were needed that we agreed could wait until Monday when Thomas would have access to more equipment and it would be easier to see what the root cause of the issue was. While Monday was not an option due to a thunderstorm, Thomas was still excellent about communicating with us, and rescheduling for the next day. Thomas came out promptly on Tuesday and was able to fix the door completely at no additional cost! Overall, I want to recognize this company (and Thomas in particular) for their responsiveness, their effectiveness, and their communication. I highly recommend this company for your overhead door needs! Thank you very much Thomas (and Simon and Bill)!

Nothing bad to say. Solid service…read more I called today to see about a rough estimate for garage door spring replacement. Originally they were hesitant to give a price, but I wanted to get a ball park estimate as I don't live at the residence needing work so wanted a rough idea. They said they normally don't do that but after explaining the situation, I got a range. It was a reasonable range so agreed to have them come out. Btw, I called like 5 places and they all had a similar mentality about giving ballpark quotes. Chris the technician happened to be in the area and I was able to meet him earlier. He was able to replace both springs (only 1 was broken) but I choose to get 2. About 30 minutes later, door was fixed and I was on my way. He clearly had done this type of work for many year. He was quick and efficient.

They had a lot of variety in the doors you could order, and Christine walked me through all the price differences very patiently, and was very honest about what various features were worth, in my particular case. She was as great to work with as Neal and his son, which I so appreciated. I liked everyone so much I'm actually hiring Neal's son to come back and do some handy-work for me on his own. I thought it was the opener and something getting out of sync but after some troubleshooting, it was something more serious. I had used Alliance Overhead Door in the past and they were the first call I made. The owner, Chris, took my call on a Sunday around 11am and asked me a few questions to diagnose the issue. It was likely an internal spring that had likely broken and needed replacement. I was afraid there would be an extra charge for a Sunday repair, but Chris so nope. So, I decided to move forward with getting the issue handled. Chris needed to address a current customer and then could be at my place around 1pm. As he was on his way, he texted me with an ETA, which was nice. Once at my place, he confirmed the issue and recommended at Torsion Spring Conversion. He confirmed the price, which was very reasonable, and he got right to work. Within an hour the old broken spring shaft was replaced with the new torsion spring rated for 25,000 cycles. Not only did he fix the issue, he also took the time to inspect the door and lubed the wheels and hinges before leaving. Now I am back in business with a working garage door. Whether you need a garage door repair or replacement, I would highly recommend Alliance Overhead Door. Chris Olari allianceoverheaddoor.com/ Call or Text : (512) 696-3891
