Do NOT waste your money here! These people are con artists. I would give 0 stars if possible. My husband and I bought an 03 Subaru here on 10/31. Below is a list of SOME of the issues we had with Payless Auto Wholesale. I really wanted to be happy with my experience. Lou started off as extremely helpful and willing to work with us. -Lou assured us Payless buys all their subarus from a Subaru Dealer in Jersey City. I bought the Carfax myself since Payless does not offer them. The carfax says the car car bought at auction in New York. When confronted with this info, Les showed us the titles for purchase of the car. He bought it in Paterson, NJ, and it wasn't from a Subaru dealer. (I still took the risk because thr carfax showed routine maintenance.) -I recommend you research the 3rd Party "Warranty" they offer before paying $300 for it. -Got the car 30 miles after leaving Payless before having an issue. The coolant reservoir was bubbling and the engine bay was splattered with coolant. Lou and Les gave me and my husband the run around. We called Payless to tell them of our issues. No one would talk to my husband since the purchase was in my name. First, Lou wasn't in the office. Then Lou needed to talk to his manager, who was sick. Then the manager wasn't in yet. Every time Lou promised to call me back and never did. After I kept calling and calling over thr span of 3 days I got in touch with Les, who told me I didn't know what I was talking about and the head gaskets on the car were fine. I should have been able to make it HOME with my vehicle before the issues started. -Had the car towed to a mechanic, who confirmed blown head gaskets. The Subaru also needed a new clutch and timing belt. $2,000+ in repairs. Avoid this joke of a business at all costs.

10/10 love these guys. Lu and Les. Thank you. These guys spent all day with me and were great company in the meantime. Gotta leave a good review because there are a lot of haters on here, maybe from another dealership or something, I don't know. Anyway these guys work hard and are kind. I bought my car at the right place.

Damage of the car, a total loss!!!!!

I bought a 2001 Ford Windstar in March 2017. When I bought it, I gave a list of things to be fixed from my mechanic. They assured me the things were fixed but provided no paperwork. I brought it back 2x because the check engine light kept coming on, it was making a loud noise, and the traction control warning kept coming on. After letting a different mechanic fix the loud noise and replace the brakes, the van continue drive and sound better. 8/19/2019 there was a fuel spillage and fire occurred. I can only thank god for getting me and my family out of van in time. Also thanks to the paterson fire department for quick response, I would have felt so bad if others were injured and other people property was damaged. I would never purchase a vehicle from this dealer. Not even a full 6 months and I have to junk the vehicle. Everything under the hood is burnt. Also they over charged me on the van, which is my fault

Super unprofessional staff. They were very impolite and disrespected me for my age. Do not recommend making business with them.

I hate to say I told you so......composed my review on Google reviews about 9 months ago (September…read more2022). No wonder that the aggregate review score AVERAGES range from 1.9 to 3.2. , regardless of the review site: (Google/CarFax/Car Dealer/Yelp). As I mentioned in my Sept. '22 review, the DMV/MVC rep I spoke to was in the process of conducting a field audit of these shysters, b/c there were a LITANY of complaints about these snakes. This very professional and thorough DMV rep ( we spoke 3 times via phone) related that a majority of complaints involved Title work: missing/INC/late mailing/no mailing at all/mismatched or downright FALSE names/ addresses on previous titles!! So not only do you run the risk of getting ripped off but you also invite being unknowingly suckered into a web of deceit/outright fraud, driving w/ a Title that may not be legit? Incredulous that this Auto Mall is still in business although more recent reviews indicate a change in ownership; may explain the rise in review scores all the way to 3.2 out of 5. Wonder what prompted an ownership change? Parkwood came through w/ the hard to find BMW i3 & this EV is a wonderful car but the Title issues that plagued our purchase apparently still exist, despite the LONG OVEDUE ownership change. The fictional "Bada Bing" strip club from the beloved Sopranos was depicted in Lodi ,the next town over from Elmwood Park, where Parkwood is based. Throughout our 3 visits from the Jersey Shore, Parkwood shared several similarities to Tony Sopranos strip club: an overall illicit vibe, fast talking shady looking "guys in the back office", very narrow highway location w/ careening, speeding cars. ( If you visit, be careful of these renegade drivers). 2 *, consistent w/ my previous Google review b/c Parkwood found this BMW & Tony B was professional & made our all cash purchase easy.

Parkwood Automall also scammed me. And I'm left with no title, plates or registration since July,…read more2024. Anyone with the same experience please contact my lawyer. Law Office of Cathleen J. Christie LLC 732-285-2726

I was greatly dissatisfied with this dealers customer service. I had to wait for over a month to…read moreget a set of keys with a fob for a vehicle I purchased for my son. My son was blamed for what should be the sales representative responsibility and the dealerships responsibility to have a set of keys already made before putting a car on the lot. Instead I was only allowed to have one fob/key combo, and a single key with no fob after complaining. My son tells them he was only available at 3pm, that was his fault apparently. The second time a gentleman by the name Frank tells my son after being told to see him that it's the first he has ever heard of it. No one ever calls you back in this place except for ONE person which was a sales rep Ramon. But the entire time I saw him after being frustrated, he tells me to come back later in the afternoon after telling me on the previous conversation that I can stop by at anytime. Which I showed up at 10 am, to only be told to come back at 12:30 because he had to wait for someone. I came back earlier to find out he could have just called the key maker himself and not have waited. And btw, I had to wait another hour for the key maker to show up. Then the finance manager continues to blame my son for the wait of the set of keys. And another gentleman decides to join in the blaming game as well....just bad customer service, terrible communications, no follow through, and blames the customers for their wrong doing....DONE...Never coming back!!!

Fair deal from guys who love cars!…read more I bought a car from Frank Motorcars yesterday and i could not be more pleased with my purchase. They were very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Most of all, it was obvious that they love cars and wanted to make sure I got exactly what i was looking for. They have an excellent selection of desirable cars in their two locations and they sell them at a very fair price. I was treated with respect - no hard sell and no pressure tactics. I will definitely go to Frank Motorcars again when i need another used car.
