The ladies at the groomers are awesome and my dogs love them. They do a fantastic job, and I would not go anywhere else!

My girl has been groomed there before. They did a great job on her- she has thick fur. But today when I picked her up, it looked like a toddler went after her with dull scissors! They cut and shaved her right to the skin! It feels like they didn't want to spend the time properly grooming her. Her fur was so beautiful. I'm devastated that they thought this was ok. And it cost over $150! Furthermore, they cut her paw open so it was bleeding and tried to say it was a pre-existing wound. I guarantee it was not! DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

We only have used their grooming service and we really liked how our dog came out. We have an easy going dog that doesn't mind getting groomed. He is also a corgi mix and the groomer recommended not to cut too short because he has a double coat which helps him for the winter. We went with what the groomer recommended. They also shaped his butt like two peaches... soooo cute. My dogs upkeep is not that bad so I am doing the trimming now. read more

Beware of daycare (grooming service is good) their website does not work when you sign up. They will have no record of the forms you complete and they do not send confirmation email even though that is what their website states. They require paperwork on your first visit, which is not referenced on website or even when you email them for confirmation. Given the poor communication of this business makes me wonder how well they care for your pet. Their grooming service, which is now separated from daycare is excellent. read more

This place has gone downhill. Or maybe they always sucked? I don't know. Some of the groomers are snotty, front desk is incompetent. Also, 25% tip on a $75 grooming? Are you nuts? You want $19 as a tip? Give me a break. All for shitty service as well. My crystal ball sees a loss of customers in the future.... A Royal Touch on Edmonton Trail is a much better alternative. read more

Grooming is ok. But some advice for the owners. If you make a mistake and cancel an appointment for the wrong persons dog you might want at least apologize or offer a free nail trim or SOMETHING. Wasting peoples time is a big NO NO. I made a Saturday appointment a month in advance for a reason. I hear great things about Marvellous Mutz. Trying it out soon. The grooming is supposed to be fantastic and pretty sure they will have enough brains to keep their customers. Also everyone in your place seems like they're stressed and secretly hate dogs. Maybe it's the howling from the dogs kept in kennels for five hours a day at "dog daycare" driving them nuts. I heard an employee explaining how THAT works. I was just curious about Pawsitively Pooched when I walked in. The girl at the front greeted me right away and asked if she could help with anything. I asked her about getting my dogs nails clipped, she said it is $14. She gave me a card for 10 trims then get one free. I noticed they have a swimming pool in their place, plus I could smell it, when I asked about it she offered right away to show me the pool. So I walked with her to the back, walking past the doggy daycare room that was full with about 8 small dogs running and playing together. The pool at the back is a decent size! They use it for mainly therapy, to teach puppies to swim, but they have dogs to use it just for fun and even for weight loss. They offer spa and weight loss programs for your pup. The doggy daycare costs $20 a day and they have discounted rates for 4 days and up. She assured me that the dogs are walked a number of times throughout the day, confederation park is right near by. They are currently working on beginning a boarding program as well. They have experienced groomers who do everything, they can even paint your pups nails! I got a great first impression from Pawsitively Pooched! I felt that the staff was very caring and knowledgeable. I recommend checking this place out for your pooches grooming and daycare needs! read more

I was in the vicinity and was in dire need for some cat grooming tools; I saw this location and thought perhaps they may have some feline supplies. At the door I was greeted by two very wet happy dogs. The lobby area is small but they have all your dog basics. The service attendant was very sweet, she had a dog grooming brush that could be used on a cat but didn't know the price so went to look it up on her computer, while she did this a woman and two other dogs came in and they two were wet. I mean the woman was in a robe. I thought do the owners live here and does she just to come to the work area after taking a shower? It was confusing. Finally the girl got me the price and explained to me there was a swimming pool in the back and dogs were doing weight training back there as well as plain just having fun. I was so amazed and so thankful that I wasn't losing it. If you and your pooch want to partake in some water sports, then check this location out. As I left the space another very wet dog said goodbye to me. Love it!! read more

This is the first review I have ever written. It is also almost 2 weeks since I visited the establishment. We took our dog there to get his nails cut. The guy took off almost half my dogs toe. He seemed to just realize that my shepard was hemorrhaging blood and had left a trail of blood from the back room where they had butchered him to the front. That's not why I give them a single star though. The reason for the single star is the caretaker at the front when i brought him in asked me if my dog was a puppy. He was a 10 week old pure-bred German Shepard. Why are you working with dogs if you can't recognize a pup? read more

If I could give a -10 star that would be more appropriate. ... I don't give bad reviews much but when I do it's because its deserved. My boyfriend brought his aussie sheppard here not to long ago and asked for him to just be cleaned up and have any knots cut out, he also said he didnt want his hair cut because hes an outdoor dog so only wanted knots cut out and his nails trimmed. Instead he got his dog returned to him with his nails half done and one nail absolutely shreaded apart so bad so that the quick was sticking out of the dogs nail and once he went for a walk started bleeding alot. Also the hair of this dog looked like it was cut by a 5 year old. The tummy was cut almost down to the skin with cuts and scrapes all over . Then to make matters worse this ridiculously unprofessional company wont even return his phone calls about it and have been dodging him since. My boyfriend had to pay 250 to take his poor puppy to the vet to have his nail surgically cut off at the toe and removed to stop the bleeding and fix the problem. Not to mention his dog hasnt been the same since, hes scared and been acting off since this whole experience. If you care about your animal at all I would avoid this place like the plague. read more

One star is too much for the terrible grooming experience we had at Pawsitively Pooched. We took in two of our dogs before Christmas to have a "bath and tidy" groom. Having had both dogs groomed there before we were comfortable returning. However, on this visit, our Chinese Crested had his crest hacked off and his neck shaved so far back that he looked like he had a mullet. Though the groomer in question managed to keep the crest on the one dog, offered no explanation for the hack job on the other dog. She did not return my phone calls or leave any messages for me regarding this incident. This lack of professionalism is totally unacceptable and I would NOT recommend the grooming facilities at this establishment to anyone. read more

OMG the worst! Took my Morkie in for a puppy cut and specific instruction to leave some length because my dog gets cold easily and there is not much to her if she had no fur. They buzzed her! It was uneven and there were a few nips where the clippers went down to the skin. I was told I would get a refund but so far it hasn't happened. The other problem is my dog has gone from one that was not bothered by noise to one who starts shaking if a loud car goes by. Thunderstorms now put her in a total panic! read more

Just visited for my first time today. Was quiet, but seemed like a great place. They were able to trim the nails of my Labrador/Bassett cross in without an appointment, and even though he's usually pretty skittish around new people, their groomer brought him back fully trimmed with a big smile on his face. Friendly, helpful staff. I'll most-certainly be back to try some of their other services! read more

My dog has been going here for a year and its been amazing. From agility Monday to Unfurversity Friday they always engage the clients. I absolutely love the themed parties and pictures you get from the themed photoshoots. They also have a pool,it was a great way to get my newly adopted dog a taste of water in a safe and controlled environment. The staff is very friendly and open, love checking out the pictures posted on facebook. Thank you PP for treating my fur baby like family. read more

We take our dog to Pawsitively Pooched several times a month. He always comes home ready to relax after a day of playing. They knew our dog by name immediately and they spend lots of time with the dogs during the day. While there are lots of dogs there for my dog to interact with, they are also not so busy that we can't drop him off on an ad hoc basis. We've also received some very cute photos from Halloween / Christmas parties they had for the dogs. read more

I used to bring my puppy here and thought it was the best! However after trying Muttley Crue I could not believe what the difference was - wow! My pup used to come back so dirty and I was told it was because he played 'so hard' and he was super hyper. I did not feel that they really cared for my pup but Muttley Crue treats my dog with so much love and respect (I can see it from their camera too!) and he doesn't come back dirty. A couple times that I went and visited in the middle of the day he was in his crate. They have ONE room for 30+ dogs its not sanitary. read more

I was terribily disappointed. My little guy was shaved to close around his eyes and they were red and irritated days afterwards. The groom itself was awful, I could of done a way better job myself. I asked for a puppy cut, but they left his eyebrows long so he looks like an old man. The one side of his face was cut short and the other was left long. They did not clean his ears or his teeth even though I asked specifically if they would. In areas like his feet and elbows his coat was left long. There was absolutely no caring effort put into how he looked. I can't wait until it grows out and he looks like himself again. The worst of it, is that they make you pay and give a tip before you get to see how your dog looks. Also, the day care area is just a large square box; there is no toys or anything to amuse the dogs.
