My dog was injured twice, the second time his cornea was torn with an eye ulceration and conjunctivitis. The owner was not willing to pay the Vet ER bill, denying all responsibility and yelling at me by phone : claiming he is a "devout Christian!" He went to the groomer fine and came home with an eye ulceration! They also make you pay $35 extra for a senior dog , but are still rushing, since they are perpetually under-staffed which puts so much pressure on the poor groomers. Owner promisEd to call back and didn't. What kind of integrity does that demonstrate? He never even left his last name and number. I decided not to ask for compensation for the two other vet bills , and again the owner yelled at me and told me to "get my lawyer! I don't make deals!"

She has strong convictions about pet nutrition and pets and isn't someone who filters every thought or sugarcoats her opinions. If you only meet her once, I can see how that could be off-putting. That said, my experience has been very different over the past 8 months. She's helped me many times, has always been generous with her knowledge, and it's clear her heart is in helping people feed their pets the best possible diet-- high quality raw foods, treats and supplements (that I find aren't commonly available in the East Bay). She isn't polished or sales-oriented; I'd say she's an educator first. Once you get to know her, she's actually a very kind person. As a POC myself, I've also never experienced anything resembling the discrimination described in a few reviews. Everyone has their own experience, but I wanted to share mine because I think her expertise and genuine commitment to animal health are well worth looking beyond maybe an occasional blunt communication style.

Had a great and lengthy conversation with the owner, Elizabeth, about her background and how her two beautiful well-behaved dogs ended up as part of her family. A previous Yelp review mentioned that Marin Raw was not POC friendly. I completely disagree with that reviewer! The time that Elizabeth spent chatting with me (a POC'er) must have been painful for her if she (or any of her employees) were anti-POC. Stop playing the race card just because a Marin Raw employee didn't drop everything to help you. Would I Return: DEFINITELY!

I took my dogs there for ear infections and flea meds. My female dog had a cyst on her. Initially…read morewhen I asked them about removing the cyst I was told they can't do it and to take her to a surgeon for removal. But the cyst wasn't bothering her, nor was it solid like cancer so I decided to leave it alone. It had been 2 years with the cyst no problem. So I took them in April of this year for the ear infection and flea meds. When they brought her back to me they told me they had drained the cyst. THIS WAS NOT WHAT I BROUGHT HER FOR NOR DID I ASK AT THIS APPOINTMENT!! I asked why they did that and she said the doctor told her it was normal practice which I knew was not! The told me to monitor it and if it got infected to bring her to an emergency clinic. A few days later the cyst was back and larger! It was now hard and filed with blood! I tried to take her to the El Ceritto location and was told they couldn't help her and to call a surgeon. I called and took her around and was getting estimates of about $2800! I couldn't afford that. I called Petvet back and told them and they basically said I'm on my own and wouldn't help me save her. I was deeply devastated. By that time the cyst ruptured and was now a giant hole on her side. Luckily I found Vets In Vans. They quickly put her in antibiotics and got the infection down. Then was able to heal her with meds from the inside out. I spent almost $1000 trying to save my dog. Today I went back simply for a flea med refill and was turned away in the most rudest manor from a white lady with matted hair like a dog, who works there. She yelled at me in front of everyone that they won't see my dogs ever again because of "what I had done before". I was confused because I definitely did complain but was never rude. And in fact I could have complained to the board but chose not to because that was literally the only issue I've ever had with them. But after today's treatment from that lady with the dog matted hair, I am definitely filing! She is the true definition of a Snow Roach and should never be allowed to work with anyone's pet again! I asked for her name, she refused and told me figure it out! Would not give me the manager or owners info to file a complaint. There is also a young African American Woman who was very nice and professional who did take the time to hear me out. But she also denied what had happened saying their clinic doesn't do cysts. I asked her for the paperworkfrom April's appointment and she kindly gave that to me. And that is where I discovered that they actually noted that they drained the cyst I showed it to her and she even looked surprised. So needless to say I'm filing a complaint with the board and a small claims court claim as well!

Every single person I've encountered, from Katie, the CEO, to the handlers, to Jenn who keeps everything running smoothly, to the front desk team who greet both pups and parents, has been friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I wish I knew everyone's name because they all deserve recognition. My pup absolutely loves going! I began volunteering with Rabbit ears for about a month to learn about these special critters. I really love the attention that the volunteers and the owner give to the rabbits and the guinea piggies. I felt very welcomed by the other volunteers and learnt so much about these special creatures. I have now adopted two Flemish rabbits from Rabbit Ears and love them very much! Rabbit ears taught me how to interact with my rabbits, what to feed them, and what to not feed them. My buns also came litter box trained, which is a huge benefit! So, if you were interested in owning rabbits or piggies, consider volunteering to learn more and only adopt! To adopt or volunteer, make an appointment before stopping by! Once you get to know the buns and piggies and they come into your life, you will benefit so much like I have. Highly recommend!

Our two pups, as seen in the photo, can be a little shy, but they warm right up to this crew. When they come home, they're fresh, clean, and clearly well cared for. This group truly goes above and beyond. They're our neighborhood groomers, and I'm so happy to support them. For the first appointment, I stayed and watched, and I was blown away by how gentle, patient, and attentive they were. They truly prioritize each dog's comfort and emotional well-being, not just getting the job done. After only two grooming sessions with them, our pup is wagging her tail and genuinely excited to see them. Before, she would often have ear issues after baths, and now she has none. The difference has been remarkable. It's obvious how much they love animals and take pride in their craft. They even compete in grooming shows and consistently do very well. Our dog looks absolutely beautiful every time, scheduling is easy and convenient online, and above all, they genuinely care. We feel incredibly lucky to have found them and wouldn't trust our dog with anyone else.
