So thankful for RabbitEARS because they sell supplies and rescue animals! Sadly there are some stores that exploit animals by selling them. I avoid supporting businesses that sell animals. I went to RabbitEARS in a panic because we had just rescued a guinea pig who had been dumped on the sidewalk with a "free" sign (she was probably bought from one of those awful stores that continues to exploit and sell animals as pets, like PetCo). I didn't know anything about taking care of guinea pigs or have any supplies and I was so happy to find RabbitEARS nearby that not only sells supplies but they also actually help animals - and don't sell them! They person explained to me basic guinea pig care and I bought the basic supplies I needed from them. Now, a few months later I'm regularly fostering guinea pigs (since I bought all the supplies, might as well keep helping them). So grateful that this rescue has a storefront that sells very fresh hay as well as toys and pallets. It's really great quality hay that my bunnies enjoy and it's amazing to have a store in my town instead of trying to get it from a farm myself or having to get inferior old hay from stores. They do amazing work rescuing bunnies and hamsters. I hope you'll give them a try. I admit the staff can be a little quirky but these are passionate animal rescuers. not necessarily a merchant. Guy at the front counter couldn't even be bothered to get out of his chair or show any interest in a potential adopter. Stated they have high bio security and no one was allowed in without an appointment...but they have boarding bunnies in the same room as the rescues and right near the public door entrance so... how is that bio security? Also asked if the small x pens were all they got to exercise or run around in and sadly yes it's less and 3 ft of space or a small crate . read more

Stopped by this past weekend, and the door was locked, but there's a sign to call or knock for them to open it. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and patiently answered my questions about their services, informing me that nail trims are 10 bucks per bunny but they gotta be vaccinated. Adorable rabbits in the back (adoption by appointment only... I assume they have bunny boarding too). I got some 3-way hay which comes by the flake (about 4 pounds). It's a combination of wheat, oat, and barley, which my bunnies are absolutely addicted to. The shop is pretty small if just looking for bunny toys and treats, but if you want fresh quality hay for cheap, they have plenty and a good variety! Also, free and easy street parking on a Sunday afternoon. read more

This is our local spot for hay, treats, and pellets for our Ziggy Smalls! We stopped purchasing from Amazon and SPS, due to poor quality of 2nd cut Timothy...Ziggy was basically using it as his litter vs eating it. purchasing local here, supports his mission and ensures a safe haven for rabbit and Guinea pig owners so we feel good about coming here. We adore James and he's always helpful and kind when we visit. He was able to give advice when Ziggy had too much "wet poop", even after changing his daily amount of fresh greens. Thank you James! Well my initial call was for to adopt two pet rabbits They responded immediately The conversation was very polite & informative Unfortunately they are not allowing interviews until the end of April & welcomed me to set up & appointment at that time They were very nice & thoughtful I'm not buying an "Easter rabbit " but pets So I'm willing to wait although I've already bought my hutch etc I appreciated the hospitality They have great info on how the process works & seems like they really want these rabbits have good homes That I appreciated! Rabbit Ears offers seasonal, fresh hay straight off the hay hill at less that any of that pre packaged stale hay you find at your convenient pet store. They have an excellent selection of bedding, toys, and also offer housing as well for when your away from home. Rabbit Ears is a great little store/shelter! Got a "flake" of timothy hay which is roughly 3-4 lbs. for just $8.74 which would otherwise be $15+ at your average pet store! The hay was very fresh and my bunny, Buddy, loved it (and even preferred it) from his regular hay! They have a nice selection of rabbit and other small animal foods and I'm assuming they always have fresh hay in stock. The rabbits are currently visible by appointment only but if you're looking to adopt a rabbit or pick up some supplies for your pet, this is a great place to support and I highly recommend it! read more

What a great place! We adopted a bunny and were very ignorant about bunnies and bunny care, and the owner has been so generous with his time in educating us about our furry friend. I was recommended to this place for supplies from Saveabunny in Marin. Didn't let me down! The store owner was friendly, asked questions and made some recommendations. We're newer to fostering rabbits, so it was really helpful! Will definitely go again and would definitely recommend this place for rabbit supplies (I bought hay and some treats). read more
