I received a second call from Denise this evening explaining in more detail why she did not return…read moremy call in a timely manner in September concerning a much needed appointment for my dog. It all made good sense and we have all been in situations where were have made mistakes due to circumstances that life presents. Denise offered to see my dog free of charge and while she was offering me an explanation she was not making excuses for not returning my call sooner. So while I have since resolved my dog's problem with her arhritis-at this stage-and don't require the free appointment it was kind of her to offer it to me. So I'm hoping all of you can also give her a chance as well. By the way, my dog is taking Cosequin-which I purchased from our vet-and is now able to walk on all four again, allow me to chase her all over the house with her fuzzy purple bug-eyed toy in her mouth, (her favorite game!), and while she isn't able to take long walks like the old days she is able to take short ones. But check with your vet or Denise about Cosequin before giving it to your dog and please don't buy something that may not be the real deal to save a few pennies. Denise, I wish you good luck with your new business and perhaps in the future I may take you up on your offer.

Our four year old Great Dane recently had surgery for Mast Cell cancer and Doctor Whitfield was so kind and compassionate with us and our girl. She went above and beyond for us, and it meant the world to us, because we love our dog more than the world. With every single thing that came up with our dog, they were so fast and helpful and above all kind as we were a mess. The surgery was beyond a success, and is healing beautifully. The vet here wrote the wrong prescription for my dog. I went to various pharmacies, spent hours…read moredoing this, to be told by them they had no idea what to do with the rx. We delayed treatment for our dog who has pneumonia because we were unable to find a pharmacy capable of filling out the wrong rx. I finally called the vet and said I don't think it's right. Only at THAT point did they realize their mistake. They had the receptionist apologize to me, but not the doctor. When I asked for an apology from the doctor, here's the email I got back: "While we understand it was upsetting to have an error in a written prescription, our hospital immediately apologized and corrected the error. Your request is inappropriate and is emphatically denied. We will send full records to Bramer. We wish you and Violet all the best. This will be the final communication from our hospital." Classless and cowardly. 1 star. Do NOT take animals you care about here. EDIT: In their response they say "the energy I brought was not appropriate to the situation." I said, and I quote: "I would appreciate an apology from the vet who wrote the wrong prescription." The person running this office is totally unhinged.

We've been going to See Spot Run regularly for a year and a half, after a recommendation from a…read morefriend, and can't say enough good things about it (including the staff!). We utilized their puppy training program after getting our sweet Vizsla, Pepper, and saw an incredible difference after two weeks. They crate trained Pepper and taught her basic manners. Getting to play with other dogs in a controlled environment at such an early age was so important for her development. After she came back from training, we decided to put her in daycare for the winter months. Even though we are a 35-45 minute drive, it was worth it. We loved that they have scheduled play time in small groups, enrichment, and nap breaks for the dogs. We travel a lot and board her anywhere from 4-8 days when we travel. She does great and we have never had any issues in the year and a half of boarding her. It's always been a great experience. It's so comforting knowing she's in a safe and loving environment. We order training sessions while she's there. Typically Pepper wants to be around us all the time, but when we drop her off she doesn't even look back at us. Recently, Pepper has struggled being reactive on leash. We live in a high rise building, so it was an emotion she encountered a few times a day. We called See Spot Run and enrolled her in a 2 week board and train camp with Ruth and Matt. The amount of difference those 2 weeks made was enormous. We had started to lose hope Pepper could be on leash around other dogs. Ruth and Matt scheduled multiple sessions with my husband and I to make sure we were trained on the techniques they taught Pepper. Pepper has been home with us post training for about 6 weeks now and has had only a few situations where she was reactive - even in our elevator lobby. Every person we've interacted with at See Spot Run is amazing. We feel so grateful to have found them and to have them help us raise a confident and happy pup!

It was a mistake to give 4 stars at the first place, but I was blindsided by that other non doctor related issue. Great place. But I hope I won't be coming till our next check up. I have been going to TLC for 2 and a half years. I am a bunny owner.. Dr Sue takes care of her, and I think she has been good with my bunny. Always emails back which I appreciate very much, even in the late hours. My most recent visit was unplanned, as my bunny had some issues, and i emailed Dr Sue. She told me to bring her in the next day. So I dropped her off in the morning, i got to work at 10am..2hours later.. hospital works till 6pm.. I work till 5pm, my work is 12miles away fron the hospital. So I managed to get off work at 5pm sharp, pick up my fiancee, and we were heading that way. You know traffic in Chicago..so..there was some jam few miles from the hospital, and we gave them a call, asking if its not a problem to get there at 6.05, are we going tonbe able to pick up our girl...my fiancee was really polite, explaining traffic and everything..and on the other line was someone who lacks customer service experience. She was completely rude and arrogant. Telling us this - No. Hospital closes at 6pm. No one will be here after 6pm. My fiance was totally confused by her reaction. Like they seriously cant stay 5min longer..I mean what the heck?! We ended up getting there few minutes before 6pm..but we just wanted to give someone heads up if we would be late..but apparently they don't really care. I would give 2 stars for that person...but since Dr Sue has been good to us, I ended up with 4 stars.

My dog had over 70 bladder stones removed by Dr. Sue 2 years ago and she is still healthy to this…read moreday. No complications from the surgery at all. Dr. Sue responds to emails pretty promptly as well! She is a wonderful and caring vet!
