When this happens at home it's so sad, hard to think, your emotional and sad it's hard to make arrangements on weekends. We had to come share our experience with cremation it was beyond professional, compassionate, they treated us and our beautiful baby like we were the most important people in the world. We found Pet Pilgrimage located in Mooresville. It is located behind Cavin-Cook Funeral home building they have Pet Pilgrimage onsite. They are located in the far rear left of the parking lot behind the funeral home. This was by far one of the best decisions we've ever made. We did not want to use a commercial "pet crematory". We wanted a use a locally owned, compassionate company and wanted to support local business. Cavin-Cook.com was incredible. The prices that are posted are exactly what you will pay. Unless you add on other items. They are no pressure upsellers!!!!! We officially love these people, we were so grateful for them being open on a Sunday. Our baby is now back home in less than 24 hours after she was taken out of our arms. 5 all the way Top notch compassion and very comforting! Beautiful private rooms to stay with your baby as long as you need. They do not rush you at all. They are very patient, informative, and caring. We asked for a heart to be cut from her blanket they did it without a problem. Her remains and presentation returned to us was the most beautiful thing I've seen. https://petpilgrimage.com/ We chose the Remembrance Cremation Collection $240 PRIVATE CREMATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING: *A wood or biodegradable urn *24 Hour personal assistance *A comforting environment for final goodbyes and memorial services *Imprint of your pet's paw set in ceramic clay *Keepsake fur clipping *Remembrance wildflower seeds *Rainbow Bridge bookmark *Digital images of your pet's nose and paw print archived at Pet Pilgrimage for memorial keepsake items *Online pet memorial *Cremation certificate *Your pet is returned to you within 48 hours Whatever you do don't use GPS for pet pilgrimage use GPS address for Cavin-Cook Funeral home. Drive straight back behind all the buildings it's in the back left corner.

But I was able to find Pet Pilgrimage. From the moment I called to speak with Becky my heart was a bit lighter that he was going to be taken care of the way would have. Our Buddy declined quickly and we had to make the difficult decision to have put to sleep on the Friday after Thanksgiving, 2022. Our appointment at the vet was not until 4:30pm but the folks at Pet Pilgrimage were so accommodating. Our vet had put Buddy in a box for us which we hand delivered to Pet Pilgrimage. I wanted to make sure Buddy was wrapped in his favorite blanket he had since he was a puppy, his favorite toy nestled in his arms and pictures of our family with him. When we dropped him off Lisa told us to take our time saying good bye. We spent some final moments with our little guy. I was able to cover him up, give him his Lamby, and kiss his sweet face. Lisa set our expectations to say I would receive a call first thing Monday morning to pick him up. With it being holiday I completely understood that it would take longer than the estimated 48 hours. Due to my own impatience of wanting Buddy home I called around 9:45am on Monday. Becky said I was going to be her first call at 10 - because she wanted me to have time to wake up before getting the news Buddy was ready and not open up a raw nerve. Thoughtful beyond words! I loved how she referred to him as my baby - because he is my baby... When we picked him up we were given a beautiful bag - and the living tree urn with Buddy's remains. The paw prints were perfect. What I realize now and I didn't at the time - was how anxious I was to get Buddy home. The folks at Pet Pilgrimage understood that for me. This was well worth the money we spent - it was the perfect was to honor Buddy and we are so blessed to found these folks - they truly are doing a wonderful act for people. Thank you all!

Rest Assured Was There When We Needed Them Most…read more Who would have ever thought that after helping Rest Assured build their website and assisting with their marketing, I would one day have to make the call to them for my own family and my beloved Great Dane, Riley. Over the time I've worked with Rest Assured, I've watched countless families use their services and leave heartfelt reviews about the compassion and care they received. I've helped tell some of those stories. But this one hits completely different--because this time, I was the one making the call. As Riley's health began to rapidly decline, I called Rodney at Rest Assured. There was no hesitation. He immediately put things into action and connected me with a mobile veterinarian, Dr. Goodnight, who was able to come to our home that same day. After speaking with Dr. Goodnight, Rodney personally called me back and asked, "How did it go?" I explained that she would be arriving at our home within the next couple of hours. What happened next showed me exactly what Rest Assured is about. Within approximately an hour and a half, Rest Assured was already at our doorstep, waiting for Dr. Goodnight to arrive. They made sure that when the time came, my family wouldn't have to worry about what happened next. Making the decision to euthanize Riley was one of the hardest and most excruciating things our family has had to experience. But in one of our most painful moments, Rest Assured helped ease some of that pain. Immediately following Riley's passing, Rest Assured handled her with dignity, compassion, and respect and transported her to their facility. They stayed in communication with us, called to check on us, and made us feel as though Riley wasn't simply another pet coming through their doors--she mattered. After being out of town and dealing with numerous business trips, today Rest Assured personally delivered Riley back home to us. The level of care and presentation was unmatched. Riley came home with her cremated remains, a beautiful clay paw print, paw prints on paper, her certificate of cremation, and a personal card from Rest Assured. Every detail was handled with thoughtfulness, compassion, and respect. I have spent time helping Rest Assured market their business, but after experiencing their services personally, I can now say something that no marketing campaign could ever truly communicate: Rest Assured doesn't just provide a service. They take care of families during one of the hardest moments of their lives. Rodney and the entire Rest Assured team, thank you for taking care of Riley. Thank you for checking on our family. Thank you for showing up before we even knew what we needed. And most importantly, thank you for helping us bring our girl home with the dignity and love she deserved. I have seen the reviews. I have heard the stories. But now I understand them. From our family to yours--thank you, Rest Assured. Riley will forever be missed, but never forgotten.

I first encountered Pet Pilgrimage (PP) through my vet last year, when I had to put down my beloved lab Rocky due to cancer. We were at the vet's office, and it was unexpectedly sudden, so I really didn't know what to do. My vet told me she would call PP, and they would take care of everything and contact me. I didn't even have to pay them until I picked up Rocky's remains the next day. Since I had no idea what to expect, I was quite surprised at how warm, kind and compassionate the staff were when I did in. They handed me a lovely rainbow bag with Rocky's cremated remains sealed in a wooden box, as well as a clipping of his fur and a casted plaster paw impression. Everything was well presented and a lovely way to remember my beloved pet. Fast forward to this summer, when tragedy stuck a second time, and our incredibly loved, cherished Bernese Mt Dog Apollo was also struck with cancer (different from Rocky's so not related). This dog was everyone's favorite, including the UPS driver. So when he passed at home, it was so comforting to be able to call PP on a Sunday afternoon to come take our beloved boy. They came within the hour and put Apollo carefully on a gurney, and covered him with a lovely blanket. They were so kind and compassionate at a very difficult time. Now don't get me wrong, I wouldn't use this service for all my pets, nor for every dog we've had, but knowing they're available 24/7 for those difficult times when it's THE BEST dog ever is very, very comforting.
