They were not interested in the neglect of the animals even after receiving documentations from the veterinarian. For one of the pups found, she had heartworms and they were going to go educate the owners, well good but, is this going to be followed up on to see if the was taken to the vet and ask for the supporting documentation that they were treated. The pups I found were severely neglected, 1 had heartworms and both had intestinal parasites (hookworms) based on the tests that were ran. This was not sufficient evidence of neglect. They tell you to bring found pets in, well in the case of this particular department I suggest if you find neglected animals, take them to a rescue or them a good home.

By the time we would pay for a regular kennel and add on the extras this is the better price for us. And the theme rooms are really cute. They also do grooming. I appreciate that they will bathe him &/or trim nails. I get nervous trimming his nails, then he gets nervous & it isn't good. For a few extra dollars it is worth having it done when he is at camp. Everyone is happier that way. I would never take my dog anywhere else. I trust them completely with his care.

We began our relationship with this fantastic organization in May when we…read morerealized the puppy we brought home in February was skittish and unfamiliar with anyone but our immediate family due to, well, the COVID quarantine becoming our new reality. She was fearful of other dogs and people and was becoming unmanageable (even at 6 months) on the leash. This is a Lab, we're talking about, so, the affable, even-tempered dog we thought we were getting was not quite that and we hoped we could find a place to help acclimate her, train her and give her the confidence to step outside the house unafraid of...everything. We began with day school and though she was a bit timid at first, the trainers were patient and helped acclimate her to the other dogs. We then made the tough decision to go for the 3-week boarding/training option as she was still too unwieldy on the leash and was starting to act aggressive to passersby. It was heartbreaking to turn her over for three-weeks as she had already become part of our family - there were tears, for sure, and not just mine! However, we trusted Top Dog to treat her as their own and deliver the training she so desperately needed. Three-weeks later, we picked up our beloved pup and saw that she had not only bonded to her trainer, but was thrilled to see us and was expertly trained and responsive to a whole host of new commands. The trainer (Ashley, she's the BEST), took time to explain her whole process with us and, effectively train me and my family, on how to deal with our pup once we got her home, noting that the training must be kept up at home if it is to truly stick (this is a VERY important point to remember). We have stayed true (mostly) to Ashely's teachings and have continued to see amazing progress with our pup. Additionally, we have received personal, in-home training since the boarding (three follow-up visits were part of our package) and that has been immensely helpful. While there is no question that our pup loves us more than anyone, she is genuinely bonded with Ashley and trusts her implicitly. This has made Top Dog our beloved pup's home-away-from-home and we have been pleased to get to know the other trainers and owners via weekly drop offs for Day School. Top Dog's facilities are well kept, provide a lot of stimulation for the dogs and are located on the same property as the owner's personal home. We are so appreciative to have found Top Dog and have recommended them to friends and neighbors who have recently acquired their own "COVID pups". As for boarding, we feel 100% confident that when we do travel again, Top Dog will take the very best care of our four-legged-family member.

I have a little poodle mix, 5-6lb dog and was charged $48 for a full groom. He is my first dog ever so I have idea how that price ranks compared to other groomers. However, my dog was very happy after the grooming treatment (and embarrassingly so) ran back to the groomer after she brought him out. The staff are also extremely friendly! I asked them not to make him too fluffy, but he did come out pretty darn fluffy. Albeit he looked adorable and smelled great. Even though I've moved out of Carrboro, I would go again!

When I picked him up, I didn't recognize my dog (before and after pictures for reference). He was shaved to the skin and they even nicked his neck because they cut so close. I brush and comb him regularly, so matting was not an issue. The staff was incredibly rude and dismissive of my concerns, showing a complete lack of care for my dog's well-being. This experience was truly upsetting, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you care about your pet and want a grooming service that listens to your instructions and treats your pet with respect, avoid this place at all costs.

She's an Aussie Golden mix with long hair. They cut her down short in the summer and always do exactly what I ask for. Their customer service is also superb. I love that I can text with them to schedule and arrange payment etc. They do prefer check so keep that in mind. I had never met a vet with such a caring, knowledgeable and friendly demeanor and that's why when Dr E left our hometown and went to Roxboro, we decided to make the drive to continue to see her.
