You can tell they really love all the dogs and make sure the play environment is safe and clean. Even when we moved to the shoreline area, we'd still try and bring Lady to Barking Lot on Fridays because she (and we) loved it so much. I always knew Lady was safe and happy when she was there. Though Lady no longer attends daycare at The Barking Lot (new baby = no more free time to drive to Hamden), we highly recommend it to all our friends looking for a daycare/boarding facility closer to the New Haven/Hamden area.

Fortunately, Shoreline's doggy daycare was just starting up and we took a chance. It has been such a great experience. Our dog loves it there and attends 6 days a week. The staff genuinely care about the animals and do a great job playing around with them. We just recently started boarding our dog there when we're out of town and that has been a good experience as well. The staff is very strict on vaccinations, but that's a good thing as they're ensuring the health of all dogs. If you're looking for a doggy daycare/ kennel along the shoreline, try Shoreline Pet Lodge.
