Olive lets Elle handle her and give her meds, which isn't always easy.

Elle has been such a blessing for my two senior dogs! I was hesitant to entrust them with anyone else but after getting to know Elle and hearing rave reviews from others, I now would only trust them with Elle. My shiba is blind and needs to be handled a certain way on walk and my pug is increasingly incontinent and needs to be taken out regularly. That made it hard for me to return to office. One's also been on and off various meds as I try and figure out health issues, and Elle rolls with the punches without any issues. She's conscientious, consistent, and responsive, and she sends the cutest reports with photos at the end of each walk!

What can I say?!! Five stars for Elle and her services. She is always dependable and trustworthy but Pawpins is so much more than just visiting your pets. Elle has an uncanny way of connecting with your little critters! She takes the extra care to be sure they are comfortable and healthy! You know you are getting top notch service here and she is treating your pets and home like it's her own.

He is very shy and isn't very friendly towards new people so it's nerve racking to find a place where you feel he will be cared for properly and loved in all of his grouchy Chihuahua glory! Once you get through that part he is a love bug. We went to the local PetsMart and had a bad experience just talking to the people there and knew he couldn't go there. That's when I looked on Yelp and found this place! It had great reviews and I saw that they had experience with Chihuahuas! It's nice to know my dog would be staying in a home(with lots of space and a big back yard) with experienced people who loved animals! So much better then a cage! I was very nervous when I dropped him off....ok I cried! Do you think he's spoiled???!!! Beth helped me feel so much better because she took the time to send me photos, tell me how he was doing, and talk with me while he was staying with her. After the first photo I immediately felt at ease and thankful we made the decision to leave our dog here. I really appreciate that Beth takes the time to do this and it really shows that she cares about animals and her job. I feel comforted to know that my dog has a safe place to go the next time his "parents" are away!

Reagan was diagnosed with separation anxiety almost immediately, which made crate training a struggle. Amanda helped create a comforting environment to ease her anxiety: cleaning up her messes, providing her lots of love, and offering advice on solutions. I was always able to reach Amanda quickly when my schedule changed or with updates on Reagan's needs. And vice-versa, she would provide me pictures, updates, and daily notes when caring for Reagan. Reagan really built a relationship with Amanda. Anytime we saw her out on other walks, Reagan was excited to see her again! I recently left the area, unable to continue services with Amanda. So unfortunately I've had to find other walking services, but none has compare to the level of service I received from Bode's. I continue to recommend Amanda to those in the Old Town, Alexandria area. She will treat your pet as her own and go above and beyond your expectations!

We know because there was way too much food left over from what we left for the sitter. Finally, we've requested the keys to our house back several times -- via their online portal several times, over text, etc. Both my partner and I have reached out, and still no keys. This is such a low hanging fruit, and I sad to say that I just have no trust in this company anymore. Probably need to call our landlord and pay to have the locks changed.

I would text the owner and always got a "who is this" reply with an excuse that she just got a new phone. Who doesn't save their clients info in a better way? I have a whippet who is very thin by nature. I came home once to a dog who lost 2-3 lbs. That's not much for a regular dog but her ribs already show so it was really bad! I don't know if she didn't get fed or didn't get treated well but this dog doesn't miss meals so something was seriously amiss! Another time we were gone for a weekend. When we got back on Sunday our cat was acting funny. He would walk three steps and sit. He wouldn't jump on furniture, he could barely do stairs, etc. He ended up at the vet for a very serious condition. Ummm...wouldn't a pet sitter notice a drastic change in behavior? I suppose not if they never actually gave any attention to my pets. The last time we used them, we were stuck at BWI and texted the owner to let her know she didn't need to come the next day because our flight got cancelled. She never replied. We got home at 1am to dogs that hadn't been let out or fed...the check we left was still on the counter. Our oldest dog had a stroke and we found her on the floor. If our flight hadn't been cancelled, she probably would have sat there all night. They of course said that they left the check and the oldest dog was fine but I call BS! We ended up going with a new pet sitting service and the sitter we got worked for this company in the past. She confirmed everything we thought. You pay for a 20 minute walk and you're lucky to get five minutes. They are so overbooked and understaffed that you aren't getting what you pay for. If you need a good recommendation let me know. My dogs and cat are my babies and we searched far and wide until we found a great service in the Alexandria area.

That's how I found Myron and Pawsitive Pets. Myron was helpful from the moment I called him. He really wanted to know my needs and my dog's needs. He then offered a variety of options that could work with my lifestyle. Even though, I initially was looking for someone to walk my dog, we figured out that our best option was for him to look after my pup at his house for 3-4 hours a day. Myron's got a big house, and a huge backyard filled with lots of doggie toys, and 8 foot tall cement walls, so you never have to worry about your dog escaping! I'm really happy with the service, and now my dog gets to socialize with lots of other dogs, gets trips to the dog park, and lots of outdoor exercise time! This is exactly what he needed!
