Plus they will turn around and sell it with 200% to 600% markup. However, I've found the owner/mngr is a straight forward guy...hard core, still more honorable then the others in town. I've seen other pawn shops straight out lie about what your really selling them, so know your stuff before you go in. This pawn shop seems more on the mark, but be aware of all things concerning selling versus payback loans. You can expect huge loan payback fees. Like we're talking up to 240%! So, if you choose to make payments past the first thirty days, read your contract! Don't let them hurry you or pretend their time's more important then your welfare...the rate is compounded daily, after the 30 day clause! It would be better to go get a "Bad Credit" credit card offer, because credit card companies are more strongly regulated on how much they can take from your pocket for use of their money. If you want to sell something, that's cool, but know your paying massive payback on pawning for loans. They suggest their paying you the set daily value on gold, but give nothing for stones other then diamonds and that's certainly not set at market value! This particular pawn shop does have a fairly straight forward mngr, but CAN BE a little demanding, which I would think you'd have to be with all the different characters coming in...I think you'd become jaded in that industry. After reading the comments and experiencing the service for myself while also seeing another client in the shop, I was able to see that the owner and smith of this company was super awesome and patient with all his clientele. First off, this shop charges less than big names such as Jared who informed me they would take a week and I would not receive my gold for the small resizing back so that 1 star comment is completely false, this shop charges below rate for high quality service. I was charged $70 with this shop while Jared tried to charge me $110. Second, to remove a star for political views hurts the business that this owner had put his blood and sweat into making. I am a rapper from California who is neutral and I base my reviews off work, not that pettiness. All in all, this shop is one of the best gems I've found in this small city since coming out here from LA three months ago with a highly professional owner and I would most definitely recommend it to my family and friends.
