They also said Hobey had been to the vet and it was determined that she was 8 years old and that I wouldn't have to pay an adoption fee because Honey was an older dog and I was 65 years old. I told them I had already left and wouldn't return until July 10. She said they could board the dog for $10 per day but never said anything about paying in advance. I never heard anything else until July 4 when I was informed that in order to hold Honey I would need to pay for the boarding up front. Why wasn't I informed of this on July 1? Then they sent a link for fastpayments.com and not bluetails. I again informed them I would not be paying any money in advance. At that point I was told Honey would need to be relisted and they would continue processing applications. And then Courtney sent me this after I told her it all sounded like a scam since I had never met Hobey in person, This is Courtney the founder of Bluetails. We have a very high reputation in our community. We take payments up front because PEOPLE always try to get a dog for free, or watch it for free etc. Feel free to call the Jefferson Parish animal shelter or the LASPCA and ask about our credibility. The second cat needed his teeth pulled and i went to get an assessment of his teeth here . the vet barely looked at his teeth and said that his teeth were infected and he needed to get them pulled asap. The vet could not fit me in at all within the time i asked (which was about a month or two) I told them i needed to take my cat elsewhere as i needed to have it done within a month/two. After i said this he told me he could actually fit me in soon. He gave me the date...which was the day i went to the vet to get the teeth evaluated. after letting him know he was giving the wrong date he proceeded to give me the same date again and then a date a month before i even got there. it was very jarring hearing that as he didn't seem completely present when he was speaking to me. i decided i needed to go to another vet as this was a bad experience. the second vet i went to gave a proper evaluation and told me his teeth weren't infected and were able to schedule a surgery within a month. i had a wonderful time with them and they were very sweet and handled my cats amazing. i'm giving this review today because i tried requesting vet paperwork for my first cat. i had gotten vaccinations and medication here before. when requesting the information the vet sent me over a blank document with incorrect information for my cat. i requested them again as i said i had gotten vaccinations and medication here. sent me a blank paper again. all in all this place seems very unorganized and unprofessional. If you truly care for you pets go somewhere else. They care more for the money they charge you than the pets actual care.

I also wanted to have backup on hand should I need to go out of town and need to have someone take care of my special fur babies. I know that my dog has to work through her stranger danger issues on her own schedule before she can feel comfortable, and I can't imagine boarding her at a facility where I know she would often be afraid, no matter how wonderful the care. Sarah was very responsive to all of my very detailed needs, wants, and worries about each of my three pets. The pet sitters, walkers, and staff have been perfect -- I really can't say enough complimentary things about all of them. Amelia and Frances' patience with my little fearful puppy and their delight at seeing her overcome her fear to embrace them both as her new best friends (especially if treats and walks are involved!) has been a really great experience. They have also gained the attention and trust of my cats, and they seem undaunted by my super specific instructions about feeding routines, medications, etc. I especially appreciate that communication with SPCR is excellent -- responsive and timely and professional. I get photos from every dog walk that my pup goes on, and a little report. I appreciate those so much, and they give me a little jolt of happiness in the middle of the work day, seeing my doggy smiling and having a good time. They ignored us. I felt very comfortable to leave them. They were there for four days and when we went to pick up our dogs They walked to the car and got in. The other is a mystery breed puppy who had some basic training before coming to us, but also had some early trauma and is very, very reactive to everything outside of our house (dogs, birds, bugs, people, you name it). Ann's positive approach and ability to tailor lessons on the fly to each dog's specific needs have made a world of difference in our lives. The group lessons help the dogs get comfortable around other people and dogs, and as owners you learn so much about your dog from seeing them react to others and also hearing other people's experiences and tips. We learned so much from our round of classes with dog #1 that we almost didn't feel the need to sign up for another round with dog #2 (you really learn to integrate training into your every day life) - but we decided to sign up again anyway and are so happy we did because we continue to learn something new every time.
