I can't say enough good things about this place. First start off with the welcoming. The person…read moreat the front desk was very nice and welcoming. Walked thru the whole place with me to show where I would be going to and all the amenities. She showed me where to change and how to work lockers. Then she brought me to quiet area while I waited. Asked if I needed anything. Then my masseuse came, Christy. Also very nice and welcoming. Took time to ask if there were any areas I would like her to concentrate on and if there were any areas she should avoid, what pressure, etc etc. Then oh my gosh, she got every knot out and then some. I felt like an entirely new person. I almost cried I felt so great! Would recommend this place to everyone and especially Christy. Thank you Christy!

Past experiences have left me disappointed with either too hard of pressure or just bad technique. I'm happy to say I had zero disappointment with Pamela! Her pressure and technique are spot on! She is very kind and welcoming - she really cares for your experience to be good. She shared with me the other services the spa offers. The treatments that the esthetician offers sounded amazing and exciting to try! I also got to see some of the beautiful rooms that accommodate groups - fun! I just love the boutique with their wonderful beauty products! They carry top of the line products which aren't an easy find in this part of the Low Country . If you're a beauty product lover you must be here!!!

My father was only there a short amount of time but I truly feared leaving him every night, wondering what I was going to come back to each morning. This place isnt a rehab, its a place that sick elderly people are sent to be ignored and die. They are just a payout! The lack of effort is crazy. The way the staff, even its' superiors, speaks to patients and their families is shocking. You would think for a place that has patients that are very ill with things such as cancer, dementia, etc. that they would be able to speak with kindness and sympathy instead of with malice. In addition to the above, there were several times we overheard nurses talking extremely unprofessional to our father. Calling him a baby and to stop complaining because he was in PAIN because he had cancer and sitting in a chair made him hurt. After the first night our father was at the facility, we came to visit the next morning only to find him, not in his room, but in a wheelchair folded over onto himself, stiff as a board from being in that position all night. We couldnt even get anyone to help us to get him back to his room and had to struggle to get him back on our own. We spoke to staff about this and told it would be handled. Next morning, same issue but this time we were told by his roommate that when our father started hollering at nighttime, which is common with dementia (sun down), that the nurses put him in a wheelchair and brought him into the hall and just left him there all night long. Once again, we confronted staff and was told it would be handled. At this point, our plan was to get our father out of there as soon as possible which we did. Another instance was I witnessed another patient vomit on himself in the hallway so I ran and got the nurses to come help. Their version of helping this gentleman, A VETERAN!, was to roll him into his room and let him sit in his vomit (later confirmed by his wife). I post this to hopefully save someone's family the heart break. If we wouldve known what we know now, he would have never went to NHC. We would have NEVER subjected our father to the mess that he had to experience in his last days on Earth.
