Since my partner and I both work away from home, we needed someone to let them out daily. We were very picky in the process of picking someone to have access to our new home and to take care of our boys. Sara also shares the same concerns and is fully insured to do so. She came in for a free visit to meet the boys and go over any concerns we had. The entire process from then until now has been nothing but amazing and very professional. Sara goes out of her way to schedule visits at the times we needed. She even came out on a couple hours notice a few times when our other plans fell through. There really isn't anything she wouldn't do to make sure you and your pets are happy. The service for what you pay for is amazing. Sara and her team take our boys outside for a mile or more walk daily and play with them to get all their energy out. She does this rain or shine and our dogs love it. Every once in a while she brings her best dogs along and my two Goldens get to play with friends in the our own yard. Every visit, Sara sends us pictures and great text messages of the fun they are having, as well as a handwritten note describing their time together. It really is above and beyond. I took my dog here for the first time this week, three days of daycare, and we both LOVE it. We've had bad experiences with other places - either he sits in a crate by himself all day and barely gets a potty break, or he gets to be crazy with other dogs but obviously isn't well supervised because he comes home limping. The best part about Barktown is that they have a twitter feed and post pictures of playtime! I can see my dog is having a good time while I'm at work, and I know he's being well watched. It's a little expensive, but it's worth it to me to know and be able to see that he's being taken care of and happy. The staff is super friendly too, and there was no cancelation fee when it turned out I didn't need daycare for one day.

This is a review for dog walking, doggy daycare, and dog boarding…read more I found Peaceable Pets after a very thorough vetting (I am convinced I should have been cast in the movie Best in Show--yes, that is how much of a crazy dog lady I consider myself). Time and again, people on the Ann Arbor Dog Owners Facebook group mentioned Peaceable Pets. I read all the reviews, stalked Peaceable Pet's Facebook page (where Robin posts videos of her guests and informative articles about all things animals), scrutinized the information on her website, did a meet and greet with Marcy, our dog walker, a play date at the Dellwood Doggy Ranch (required for doggy daycare and boarders). I give it 10/10 stars. Peaceable Pets is an Ann Arbor treasure. You will not find someone more knowledgeable about dogs than Robin. Some reasons I love what Robin offers: 1. She understands my dog's unique personality, quirks, and needs. 2. She prioritizes the safety, well-being, and quality of life for my dog. 3. The pick-up and drop-off times worked well with my schedule, which was variable for a while, and then predictable for another while. 4. I trust her 100%. 5. Every time I bring Hagrid to her, he bounds toward her and doesn't even look back to say goodbye. Every dog parent knows that is a good sign. 6. Hagrid is calm and content when he returns from daycare. ...I could go on and on. As for dog walking, Marcy was wonderful and reliable. A few times I bumped into Marcy while I was walking Hagrid and saw his entire body language and vocalization over his joy of seeing Marcy. There is no stronger endorsement than that, in my opinion. To top it all off, Robin and Marcy have really interesting personalities, back stories, and talents when they are not caring for our beloved animals. Marcy speaks French. Robin sings in a band. They are the absolute best.

Aunt B's was referred to us when our initial dog sitter backed out a couple weeks before our Hawaii vacation. Referrals from friends with great experiences is priceless. We were so relieved to find that they had availability to take our old boy for 9 days. We were a bit worried he wouldn't do well away from us for so long, but after the initial meeting and seeing the facilities in person, we were happy our boy got a vacation of his own. He played, had his own space and got lots of attention. The facilities are great. Individual kennels for overnight puppers or when one get a little crabby. The community area is a great play space with couches, and even a TV for them. Outside are gated paddocks to play or do their business. We bring their food and treats from home. I wrote out his meal schedule, potential meds should the need arise, and brought his blankets. He was set. Bridgette is so sweet and was always quick with a return text when I asked about our boy while on our trip. He did so well with the other dogs, I am glad he had friends to play with while we are away. (He doesn't at home) Aunt B requires a letter from your vet that shows your pupper is up to date on all shots and tests. They accept cash, check or Venmo. Their prices are more than reasonable, which left ample room for a good tip from us on top of the fee. Great facility (though a bit outside of town for most) and fantastic people. Highly recommended.
