The owner, groomer and staff at the Olde Dogge Inn are more than wonderful!!!!…read moreOur rescue group, National Great Pyrenees Rescue, called with an emergency..we needed kennel space for 6 large Great Pyrenees we were pulling from an abusive situation. They immediately provided space for us..even though it was the Christmas season and a very busy time for them. None of these dogs..ranging in age from 3 - 7 years had ever been out of their deplorable environment at the hoarder's house..never in a car, never socialized etc. The owner, groomer and staff have gone way out of their way to help these dogs feel safe, secure and cared for. We can't thank them enough for all of the assistance they have provided NGPR, and needy dogs. At this point, these dogs can be seen at http://www.nationalpyr.org/neediest-cases under the title Holiday Horror Show 12/21/12. There are multiple pictures from the day the dogs were removed from the hoarder's home, taken to Lollypop Farm for vaccines, than on to the Olde Dogge Kennel where they received golden glove care. The Albion area is fortunate to have this great business that serves the animal community so well!!! :-)

Short Story Jen is…read moreawesome and super caring for all the dogs. I rarely trust anyone with my dog, but after a very short period I came to trust in Jen and my dog loved the experience. I highly recommend using this day care, ESPECIALLY if you do not want you dog locked in a kennel for hours a day. Long Story I own a 5 year old boxer mix named Oscar. Oscar has been my only family, traveling with me for the past 5 years and I care for him very much. As so, it is very hard for me to leave him in the hands of others and NEVER over night. I started using the day care because of my work schedule and also because of how happy he was when I would pick him up. He quickly learned the word "day care" and really looked forward to seeing Jen and the other dogs. I became so comfortable because of his obvious enjoyment that this was the first day care I ever allowed my dog to be stay over night! When I relocated for work I wish I could have brought Jen and the day care with me!

She's also been such a huge wealth of advice over the years about different things my dogs , (skin issues as well as health issues) have gone through. Being the owner of a dog team herself she's acquired a great deal of helpful knowledge . Having her truck come to the house is also priceless. It's a must for us since we aren't able to take our dogs to outside groomers. And I don't want to forget to say that her grooming is always wonderful and consistent. They have never had razor burns or wonky cuts. I trust her with my furry babies I trust her and my home. I've used other services but I truly recommend using Cathy.

I am disheartened to write this review. While the owner has good intentions, the level of care is…read moreway off. There are 17 Newfoundlands at the kennels who literally never get human contact other than when they get fed. They do not get walked regularly and sleep on cement floors with a small access door to the outside. I'm not quite sure why there are so many if there is no time for them. However, they may be used to that. The main issue is this, if you are bringing your dog here, they will not get ANY human time or a walk unless you pay extra. Customers bring in blankets and beds for their dogs well being. Your dog will not have this. They are put on a shelf or stored away. Return customers bring in blankets, etc. If not going to allow the dog to use it, why not say that? Your dog will sleep on a cement floor. It is loud, noisy and I can only imagine your dog feels abandoned. Do not pay for this service. While the intention is good, it is not executed as you will be led to believe. There are only one or two staff to care for all animals here. Not good enough.
