A happy puppy and a loose leash!
Tyson M.

In just five short lessons, Sophia helped us completely transform our sweet but undisciplined one year old yellow lab, Rooney. Before Sophia, Rooney jumped on people, counter surfed endlessly, pulled hard for every second of every walk, and ignored most of our commands. After Sophia, Rooney is another puppy entirely. She no longer jumps on people (she patiently waits in the hall for her command to come say hi), she doesn't counter surf (she waits patiently in her spot for treats, and her leash manners are incredible (even off-leash). For the first time in her life, she even drops the ball when I tell her to! Most importantly, Sophia gave my wife and I lots of tools to continue growing Rooney's ability to follow commands and behave politely. We cannot recommend her enough! If you have an untrained dog or even a dog that wasn't properly trained by other trainers, you need to give Sophia a call.

Meredith has transformed our scared, reactive puppy to an outgoing, confident dog. She has learned so many skills that make our working dog (Australian Kelpie mix) so happy, and keep us sane. She was highly leash reactive as a puppy and it was completely out of control. We did the first Board and Train program with Meredith and when we picked up Ella our jaws dropped. She no longer lunged or growled at other dogs, had beautiful manners- and you could tell she just had the BEST time in her training with Meredith. We've had so much success we continued with the program for off-leash training as well as continue to contact Meredith for boarding when we leave town, because our dog truly LOVES being around her. What is also so great about Meredith's approach is that the training doesn't just end when you pick up your dog, there are several one-on-one follow up trainings for us with Ella, so we know how to continue to set her up for success. Sometimes mom and dad need more training than Ella! The price at first was intimidating as we've never sent our dogs to such a thorough training program but it was worth every penny and more. We have a manageable dog who we now know how to communicate with and can take out on field trips with no stress all thanks to Meredith and Pavlov!! Forever grateful!

My happy bubbas being a good boy, sitting and staying for a cute photo (thanks to Sophia!)

Sophia was a wonderful dog trainer! She had extensive knowledge about my dog's breed and really cared about his progress in training. She helped me understand how to train my dog and why we train him the way that we do. She has great analogies to help me understand my dogs behaviors and has easy ways to correct his unwanted behaviors. I highly recommend PAVLOV training to anyone with a pup at any obedience/training level, as she meets you where you are in your training and creates training sessions that are focused on what you and your dog want/need. Thanks Sophia! -Obi & Rachel

I had given up on training my ball-obsessed dog because he was not motivated by treats. His behaviors were consistently annoying and it was affecting how I felt about him. I stopped taking him to the park because I couldn't get him to come back to me. Sophia gave us a straightforward plan to shape his behavior so we could have play time and chill time. I was able to bring him back to the park after a year because now he comes when called and he couldn't be happier. I can't recommend her training enough!

Highly highly recommend Sophia for your dog training needs! She was recommended through my friend with a puppy, so I decided to start mine at 8 weeks on the puppy 5 class program. I was feeling super anxious in the beginning being a first time puppy parent doing it on my own. Sophia relieved that anxiety and I always felt supported even if we weren't in a session! She's always a text away if you have questions or concerns. I live in an apartment so that had some unique concerns and specific training opportunities that she helped me with! I can't tell you how much my puppy has benefited from her training. She loves when Sophia comes over and she responds so well to her training techniques. I'll be forever grateful for these training sessions and I value all the tools I've learned so she can be a great member of society

Ozzy behaving while out.

Sophia is a tremendous dog trainer. We discussed our dogs issues and what we wanted to focus on and she planned out the sessions to accomplish our goals. Our dog, Ozzy, needed some work with reactive barking, walking on a leash, listening to us when excited, etc. Sophia gave us commands, actions, and training to do to teach the dog how we wanted him to behave. She layered the training so the dog could learn fully and then build on his new behaviors. We are more than pleased with the results with Ozzy and would eagerly recommend Sophia for any dog training.

He'd only ever been with me and an occasional dog walker, and I knew a full day alone wouldn't be good for him. Then I found Mary Ellen's "Wag Along Pet Care" - a doggy daycare run out of her home. They also offer overnight boarding, which is a huge bonus since my new job requires travel. Wag Along has become Cooper's true home-away-from-home, and that's exactly what I wanted-- not some kennel tucked into a light-industrial office complex. Drop-off and pick-up are a snap, with a predictable routine that puts both of us at ease. But the best part? Mary Ellen is some kind of magical dog whisperer. Every time I pick Cooper up, the dogs in her care are all calm and content. Since starting at Wag Along, Cooper has begun wagging his tail in his sleep, something I'd never seen before. Wag Along, indeed! He's even learned to use a doggy door, which is no small feat for a dog who's reluctant to jump into new things. And Mary Ellen sends daily photos or videos, whether he's playing in the yard or lounging on the couch. Cooper has been at Wag Along for both daycare and boarding, and the experience has been wonderful. Mary Ellen is flexible, kind, professional, and obviously gifted with dogs. Cooper always comes home happy and tired... the sign of a truly great day.

This review is delayed, but I never forgot the stress and horrors Mary Ellen put me through. I had a delayed flight, and she threw a fit that I would be unable to pick up my dog in the afternoon, as originally planned, but instead that I would pick my dog up first thing in the morning. When I showed up in the morning, Mary Ellen was outside organizing her recycling and refused to make eye contact with me, or say hello. My dog, she was locked in a kennel outside the gate with all her stuff. Immediately I noticed my dog had some white sticky goo on her backside, and when I got home I immediately bathed her. When I texted Mary Ellen to ask what that was, she said it was sap. I'm not even sure if she has a tree in her backyard. I worried (and still do) that something terrible had happened to my dog. And then, she had the gall to text me back and say I owed her an extra $25!!! Exhausted and stressed, and having seen how unstable and temperamental she is, I paid her in order to not deal with her anymore. Please note - the prices on her website are not accurate. There's a handful of negative reviews on her Yelp and Google reviews. These reviews are consistent outlining her cruel behavior to pet owners entrusting their dogs in her care, and lack of patience and respect - this woman is not well. Please consider that only because the negative reviews are few, doesn't mean they're not true.

This is a long overdue review. Also, I think this is more like a thank-you letter to Jen than a…read morereview. As many others have stated, Jen is amazing. Our dog, Shaka, just loved spending time with her and the other pups she cared for. We were a little worried at first about his temperament being around others (humans and other animals) since he gets a little skittish, but he seemed to thrive there. When it was pick-up time, he was always happy and seemed to sleep very well from getting his exercise and socialize in. (He also smelled great on his longer stays. Thank you for the baths!) Jen is super flexible and communicative. We were so appreciative of this since we tend be rather spontaneous and would ask to drop him off the day before sometimes. We also would extend his stay last minute, for example, when we were taking road trips and wanted to stop for the night instead of driving all the way through a town. (Sorry and thank you so much, Jen!) Shaka has stayed over from one day to two weeks (possibly more), and each time, we've received text updates from her and even pictures of him happy with his friends. I always looked forward to those. Shaka passed away early last year, and I've been meaning to write this for a long time to say, "Thank you, Jen!" for being such a wonderful caregiver and trustworthy and friendly person overall. Dog parents, I 1000% recommend Jen.

After two serious incidents, we will never ever trust this place with our dog again!…read more During the first incident, while we were overseas, we saw their missed call at around 2am with no voicemail or email. We were extremely frightened, especially since we had previously been told they would only call in the case of a serious emergency involving our dog. I spent that time repeatedly calling them back in distress, but no one answered! It took nearly an hour to finally reach someone. We later found out they had mishandled our dog's food storage and we had to urgently purchase new food at our own expense to ensure our dog was fed. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic responsibility in this situation was unacceptable! The second incident was far worse. Just three days into our trip, we received a voicemail saying our 7 lb dog had been involved in a fight. We were initially told that a large dog pinned her down during mealtime. We specifically requested a written explanation of what happened and asked for photos. While they did send photos, they never provided any written explanation. (Not surprised!) Instead, we only received a phone call from a manager, and later, when we picked our dog up, we were given a completely different version of events. The refusal to document the incident in writing, combined with conflicting stories, raises serious concerns about transparency and accountability. After picking our pup up, we discovered bite marks and eye infection following. The fact that dogs of all sizes are mixed together, especially during feeding, shows extremely poor judgment and unsafe handling practices. On a side note, their website/storefront stated we could pick dogs up during break time, but they will charge a fee. We tried to do that once, and the staff showed up rude and fed up insisting us picking up during business hours. Crazy! We are just so incredibly fortunate that our dog is safe, but this experience was completely unacceptable. Between the lack of communication, inconsistent reporting, and questionable safety practices, we strongly advise others to think twice before trusting this facility with their pets!
