my dog absolutely loves going to barkzone! She loves the staff so much, I appreciate that I can drop her off for daycare whenever I need. They are also open on holidays Wich is very convenient. The staff are very polite and easy to talk to me and my dog are always greeted with a smile. I enjoy that they tell me about her day when I pick who she played with what she did during the day. shout out to barkzone! Should totally go check them out they also have live web cams if you'd like to check on your pup!

She said she sent me another email.... I searched for all emails from Barkzone....the only one I found was my confirmation email
David D.

I filled out everything online for my dog to be boarded for 1 night. I got an email confirmation. It said "thank you for boarding with us. It said "we look forward to seeing you soon. It had her drop off and pick up dates and times. So I packed up her food and vaccine records and went to Bark Zone. The woman who greeted me clearly hates her job and acted very annoyed to have a customer interrupt her cell phone time. After tapping on the computer for a few seconds she told me I didn't have a reservation. When I showed her the email confirmation she told me that meant nothing and claimed to have sent me another email explaining that my dog would need and evaluation and a Day of daycare before boarding. I searched for all emails from Barkzone and the only one was the confirmation that she refused to honor. (See photos.) Against my better judgement I decided to call back a week later to see about getting her all approved so I could take her there for boarding next time. I called and (started to) say I wanted to schedule an evaluation and Day of Daycare to get my dog approved for boarding. Before I could even finish she interrupted me and told me in a rude tone that I needed to fill out their online application. I told her I already did that and she asked for my name and my dog's name. She then searched and found nothing. I asked her why I had an email from them. That's when her tone turned even nastier and she said that was just the boarding application and I need to fill out the daycare application! She acted like I'm an idiot and should have known this. But when she searched my name why didn't she find the forms I HAD filled out?? She said she found nothing! This place might be ok other than one horrible employee but since the only thing I have to go by is two very bad interactions with a rude, & lazy person who doesn't care about her customers I will never use this place.

My wife dropped off our pup to enjoy some R&R because we were busy and we wanted him to play with his new friends. An hour after she dropped him off we got a phone call saying, "your dog got scratched by some dog play and you need to come back and pick him up". At first we weren't alarmed because we understand things like this can happen. What we weren't expecting was a wound requiring surgery and 7 staples!!! The doctor explained this was not a "scratch from dog play" but obviously a deep gouge from chain link fencing or some other metal object! When we tried to contact the management we were met with, "sorry, things happen". When i asked to talk to the owner i was told he would call me. (THIS NEVER HAPPENED). My wife did receive a curt email from the owner reiterating they're not responsible for injuries sustained at their daycare. I attempted a dozen times to speak over the phone to the owner and i could only talk to a couple employees. They were beside themselves in disbelief that the owner wouldn't at least call us back. Multiple employees explained they were aware that the chain link fencing was the problem and that other dogs had been injured and the owner paid the vet bills. If fact, i was told directly after my pup was injured they finally did fix the fencing. Problem was, i had a $600 vet bill, no apologies, not even a courtesy phone call back. After 3 MONTHS, A DOZEN PHONE CALLS and talking to a very kind employee, they finally agreed to give me a check. Obtaining that took an additional three phone calls to locate the "checks in the mail" line and when it arrived it was only for HALF the vet bill. Thanks?!? I do not understand why the owner wouldn't just call me back and we could have just figured this all out. I don't understand why the owner wouldn't accept responsibility for an injury caused by maintenance neglect at his facility for a KNOWN problem. All the employees i did talk to were very nice, reasonable and very understanding but their "hands were tied". I felt awful for them and they just kept apologizing. Thankfully, my little buddy made a full recovery and is back to his goofy playful self. It pained me to see him hurt and unable to move freely for 2 weeks with his injuries. Accidents happen, I'm ok with that... but lack of accountability and compassion for an injured animal I'm not ok with.

Grooming service

Been client of barkzone since my groomer relocated from a dog wash shop located on Sandy blvd. unfortunately after 4 years of services. I received a call from the front desk assuring me that I have been fired as a client. when asked why this decision was made. She told me the groomer JESSICA Made this decision and forgot to let me know after she serviced my dog last. When asked to speak with Jessica just to clarify if what I was hearing was correct the receptionist hung up on me and said " YOUR NOT WELCOME OR ALLOWED HERE Bye" I called back and she answered and I could here her speaking in the background to someone who I thought was a coworker " OMG WHY IS THIS LADY CALLING BACK" Jessica gets on the phone and was like I'm not servicing you anymore your taking money out of my pocket when you don't show up for your appointments and I can't pay my mortgage and we don't get paid enough working here. Mind you every time I call to schedule I'm scheduled incorrectly or sometimes not even put on the schedule at all. If your looking for a professional environment don't even bother! These people just want the money the place and don't even care for the animals properly ! PLEASE SEE PHOTOS ATTACHED OF INJURIES MY DOG RECIEVED FROM GETTING GROOMED LAST YEAR. Jessica left my dog in the kennel all day when his appointment was in the morning when I got off work he still wasn't done. So she rushed her work and cut my dogs neck.

He'd only ever been with me and an occasional dog walker, and I knew a full day alone wouldn't be good for him. Then I found Mary Ellen's "Wag Along Pet Care" - a doggy daycare run out of her home. They also offer overnight boarding, which is a huge bonus since my new job requires travel. Wag Along has become Cooper's true home-away-from-home, and that's exactly what I wanted-- not some kennel tucked into a light-industrial office complex. Drop-off and pick-up are a snap, with a predictable routine that puts both of us at ease. But the best part? Mary Ellen is some kind of magical dog whisperer. Every time I pick Cooper up, the dogs in her care are all calm and content. Since starting at Wag Along, Cooper has begun wagging his tail in his sleep, something I'd never seen before. Wag Along, indeed! He's even learned to use a doggy door, which is no small feat for a dog who's reluctant to jump into new things. And Mary Ellen sends daily photos or videos, whether he's playing in the yard or lounging on the couch. Cooper has been at Wag Along for both daycare and boarding, and the experience has been wonderful. Mary Ellen is flexible, kind, professional, and obviously gifted with dogs. Cooper always comes home happy and tired... the sign of a truly great day.

This review is delayed, but I never forgot the stress and horrors Mary Ellen put me through. I had a delayed flight, and she threw a fit that I would be unable to pick up my dog in the afternoon, as originally planned, but instead that I would pick my dog up first thing in the morning. When I showed up in the morning, Mary Ellen was outside organizing her recycling and refused to make eye contact with me, or say hello. My dog, she was locked in a kennel outside the gate with all her stuff. Immediately I noticed my dog had some white sticky goo on her backside, and when I got home I immediately bathed her. When I texted Mary Ellen to ask what that was, she said it was sap. I'm not even sure if she has a tree in her backyard. I worried (and still do) that something terrible had happened to my dog. And then, she had the gall to text me back and say I owed her an extra $25!!! Exhausted and stressed, and having seen how unstable and temperamental she is, I paid her in order to not deal with her anymore. Please note - the prices on her website are not accurate. There's a handful of negative reviews on her Yelp and Google reviews. These reviews are consistent outlining her cruel behavior to pet owners entrusting their dogs in her care, and lack of patience and respect - this woman is not well. Please consider that only because the negative reviews are few, doesn't mean they're not true.

Our dog, Shaka, just loved spending time with her and the other pups she cared for. We were a little worried at first about his temperament being around others (humans and other animals) since he gets a little skittish, but he seemed to thrive there. When it was pick-up time, he was always happy and seemed to sleep very well from getting his exercise and socialize in. (He also smelled great on his longer stays. Thank you for the baths!) Jen is super flexible and communicative. We were so appreciative of this since we tend be rather spontaneous and would ask to drop him off the day before sometimes. We also would extend his stay last minute, for example, when we were taking road trips and wanted to stop for the night instead of driving all the way through a town. (Sorry and thank you so much, Jen!) Shaka has stayed over from one day to two weeks (possibly more), and each time, we've received text updates from her and even pictures of him happy with his friends. I always looked forward to those. Shaka passed away early last year, and I've been meaning to write this for a long time to say, "Thank you, Jen!" for being such a wonderful caregiver and trustworthy and friendly person overall. Dog parents, I 1000% recommend Jen.
