Previously located at 116th and Allisonville Rd. they are now at 146th and Cumberland. The staff is always very kind, professional, and thorough. I've never had an issue scheduling an appointment. They return calls promptly and genuinely seem to care about my boys well-being. They've done my boys well visits, sick visits, school physicals, and promptly provided school shot records. My boys regular doctor is Dr. Scott Boshcee. They're able to meet him with me or privately and discuss the growing changes with becoming a young men. He's very relatable and jokes with my boys making them feel very comfortable. I'll be sad when it's time to find them a primary family physician. They're truly awesome!

Because they aren't in the insurance system, they are able to spend an hour with each patient and can order any tests needed to help you find the root cause to any of your health concerns for lasting, healthy solutions. I found out about this place through my friend who has had many health problems throughout her life. She was on many medications and none of them were working. Her friends recommended coming here and they ran several blood tests, then found that she was deficient in a few key nutrients. She started taking supplementing for that deficiency and it made her medications started absorbing better. She then got off a ton of the extra medications she didn't need and lost twenty pounds in a few months. It was amazing to see as her friend and made me realize that we should all probably get our basic nutrient and mineral levels checked first before we ever get on any medications. I really got the vibe that they support a healthy lifestyle in every way. They offer healthy cooking classes for adults, kids, and families, as well as yoga classes, sauna sessions, and classes on how to manage stress, address hormones, etc. Also - they don't push supplements here and don't care if you buy theirs or not. I went to see NP Emily and she told me that I was low in zinc and probably wouldn't be able to hit ideal levels with just food, so did recommend a zinc supplement (which is surprisingly affordable). She didn't care if I got the one they sell or went to get my own. She said that she doesn't usually recommend many supplements, as most health concerns can be fixed with a natural, whole-foods diet, daily sunshine, working out, and addressing stress. I love that she starts with that approach before taking any other measures. She was so helpful and smart, and offered simple, clear answers to all of my questions. You can become a member here and go to their monthly classes (cooking, yoga, etc) and use their spaces (infrared sauna, etc) in addition to your health appointments, or pay a one-time fee for each appointment. They're on a long wait list at the moment, but you can fill out the form on their website to join the list and they'll reach out. They have a new building in Carmel and it's super nice. One side is the functional medicine and the other side offers esthetics and has the classrooms. Cool idea to combine it all under one roof!

I will say the decor of the office is very outdated and not modern. And scheduling in the front office depending on who you ask always differs. Example: when leaving an appointment one day we were told our doctor would be gone a certain week so we had to schedule around that. We had a vacation that popped up so we needed to change what day we went in to the week the doctor would be gone but just see a different doctor. Called to change it and the person booked us for a day on the week my doctor was supposedly supposed to be gone? Super strange but we roll with it because our doctor is so great. At every appointment, there was at least a 30-40 minute wait. The doctor knows the job incredibly well. However, this doctor needs to work on the communication skills. This clinic charges $15 per child for medical records, even when you pick them up. I get the impression it's an exit fee. He had experience with Autism, in a time when even less was understood about Spectrum Disorders, and just all around fantastic, empathetic care. I am the first to admit that I was always an anxious parent. The slightest sign of illness or a rash, I wanted the doctors opinion. I also did a lot of research on any diagnoses my children received and would ask about different tests and therapeutic treatments, especially for my Autistic son. Dr Benjamin always listened to me, validated my thoughts and concerns, and never made me feel like I was being a hypochondriac. He would happily give out referrals that were asked for and order tests that he agreed could be beneficial. In all these years, there was only one test he disagreed with and his explanation of why was enough to help me understand why it wasn't necessary. Much time has passed. Now Dr Benjamin cares for my granddaughter. His practice has definitely grown and it's harder to get an appointment with him. But the rest of his staff and partners are also fantastic. They were all very helpful for my family, thru the years, as I raised 3 children. To get a same day, "emergency" appointment, get your call in before noon!

He works with a practice -- PreMed which has multiple locations around Dayton, he works 4 days a week in Huber Heights and 1 day a week in Kettering I believe. Not only did I find him very professional --- his whole philosophy is that both the Dr and the parent should be an advocate for the child -- but after deciding to use him he has been great with my daughter. We had some weight issues with her after her birth and he and his staff worked with me to make sure we got her on track. I was there about every 3 days for about the first 3 weeks so I can tell you that all the nurses and staff I saw were great! He even called me on a Saturday to follow up, as I had seen his nurse and not him the previous Wed (and not him)... I was floored! What Dr. calls you at home without you first calling him?!? He is very cautious and will tell you that he leans on being very conservative as he doesn't want to overlook any issues --- and he encourages you to bring a list of questions for him to each appointment. As a new mom this is GREAT for me! I would highly recommend him.

What I noticed most about the waiting area is that there were no toys, play areas or even televisions. This is one of the first places though, that I actually was present while they sanitized the waiting area. The staff there was very nice, from top to bottom. I am a very punctual person and one of my main gripes with the place was that I was not called back until 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I understand that things happen, but I like to stick to my schedule. Outside of not meeting my appointment time, this is a great place to bring your child. It is easy to get in and out of and my kid is very comfortable here.

They do not provide behavior mental health services they referred us to Riley. However, at my son's Physical every year, they ask questions about medication that he's on and how things are going. And then consistently charge us an additional charge. Whereas they do give us paperwork stating that if he is seen for anything "additional" that is not the physical at that appointment, we will be charged for it, they do ask questions that lead you down a path. I'm not sure how they expect me to answer questions on his overall well-being and medication's that he's on and not be transparent about behavior mental health as well. Overall, the office staff has always been great, but they have no problem charging you for things that might be ethically questionable.
