After hours on websites, researching patios, pavers and landscaping ideas, I still did not know how to design my porches. I went on the internet and Pavers Plus came up. I called them and Charlie made a special trip to my office to go over some ideas he already had. Although I wasn't sure about it all, he presented his ideas with such confidence and skill. That is what I remember at our first meeting: his confidence and experience. First impressions rarely fail you, and I was right.
There are companies out there that can lay pavers, but what are you really getting underneath? How is the area prepared? How long will it last, staying level?
Those are all questions none of us really know, as lay people. There was never a time that I did not trust Charlie. A couple of situations came up, as with all projects, that we had to revisit. He listened to what my expectations were, and they got right on it. That was remarkable, as many contractors might have gotten a bit defensive and finger-pointing. We moved forward without any interruption in the project.
My home required some creativity, thinking a little outside of the box. There were some elevation challenges and Charlie addressed this without any hesitation or concern. As stated earlier, Charlie projected confidence, backed up with years of experience. He made me feel comfortable, without worry, as I live an hour away from this home. I didn't have to babysit it everyday. That was a relief in itself.
I love my porches; the color of blocks Charlie suggested AND the design. In addition to the three porches and block pillars they built, they brought literally tons of large boulders for a retaining wall and for the lakeside of a newly installed 165-foot seawall. No job was too big for Pavers Plus!!
We now have plans in the works to pave my driveway with the same pavers we used with the porches.
Thank you Pavers Plus!!
