5 stars for service and flavor…read more I happened upon this food truck at a small event, and the guy who runs it is so charming. He greeted us warmly, asked us if we liked meat, then immediately gave us samples of each! I was wooed. He was a smooth talker. The lamb is succulent and my favorite. The chicken was great, but steer clear if you're not a fan of the flavor that comes with charring. The kafta was my second favorite meat. They were beef meatballs with Moroccan‐seasoned BBQ rub spices. Even though the meat was amazing, I settled on a lighter dish: the spinach & feta sandwich. Each sandwich is a pita wrap with diced tomatoes and onions. You can get the Harissa sauce in the sandwich or on the side. It's a mild level of spicy. It lingers on your palate for awhile after you're finished--a satisfying feeling. The truck also serves plates with the same meats--all plates are gluten free too. The sides for each plate are saffron rice and Moroccan green beans. There's even baklava for desert.

Unfortunately, most of my life happens on the north north side so I didn't get an opportunity until today. The Poccadillo Food Truck was one of two food trucks parked outside of the Grand Opening Celebration of Ash & Elm Cider Company. Since I didn't have a "real" meal all day, I decided that getting food from the truck would be a good idea before sampling cider. The truck guy was super friendly and enticed me with samples. Sold! After finding out that I was a carnivore, he gave me three samples: lamb shwarma, beef meatball and chicken shwarma. Well, he started out with the best dish because I ended up ordering a lamb shwarma sandwich. It was served on pita bread with Roma tomatoes, vinaigrette marinated onions and a homemade yogurt sauce. The only reason this was rated as 4 stars is that the sandwich was much spicier (hot spicy) than the sample. As someone that has health issues with spicy, I would have preferred a warning.

I've been a little hit-and-miss when it comes to the Indiana Government Center's Statehouse Market…read morethis year. I've had a couple downright disappointing experiences, a handful of average ones, and only occasionally something that truly impressed me. I had planned to visit a pizza truck that was scheduled to be here today, but it appeared to be a cancellation. Box Burger was packed, Union Jack's was busy, and I'll admit that nothing else was striking my fancy. I spied the attractive Garnacha Spot truck and was intrigued. It is beautifully decorated. The line wasn't too bad and I was working on a limited time schedule due to an upcoming meeting. I checked out the menu - tacos, quesadillas, tortas, and a handful of other items. I opted for a chicken quesadilla. I'll be the first to admit I'm no expert when it comes to Mexican. I'd almost guarantee I lean toward Americanized Mexican cuisine. This quesadilla was right at $4.50 plus tax. I should have gotten two, but I typically eat outside and I knew I had to rush. What can I say? I loved this quesadilla. The seasoning mix was perfect, the flavor wonderful, and the serving size was definitely right on for a $4.50 quesadilla. Yes, I could have eaten another one. Easily. The best part for me here? The service was perfect. The woman who took the order was helpful and super friendly. While I'm sure they'd have loved a bigger order, they were marvelously hospitable. The person who handed me the order, presented in a styrofoam container, recognized the difficulty of carrying in a wheelchair and offered me a bag - I didn't take it, but I loved the thoughtfulness. This experience was definitely one of the highlights of Statehouse Market for me this year. The people were friendly, the food was delicious, the prices were fair, and the truck is attractively decorated and fits with the personality of the people and the cuisine. I'll easily return the next time I see The Garnacha Spot and I'm genuinely looking forward to it.

She and her sous chef Robert were so friendly. The food they made was OUTSTANDING! She cooked all of the food from scratch on site and it was amazing. We held an event for about 40 people for a customer appreciation night, and everyone was commenting on how good the food was.
