Such a neighborhood staple! First off, I was expecting basically a deli shop/butcher shop where you go up to the counter and order whatever meat you want to cook BUT this little gem is more than that! All the employees are so kind and helpful. When you walk in you'll find there's aisles full of pre-marinated meats/fish, pastas, condiments, and even fresh vegetables. The back area are all the butcher shop cuts where you can grab a ticket and order whatever meat/fish cut you want. We decided to stop in for their sandwiches which you can either order in person or through their online portal (it is a $2 surcharge to order online). The meat and cheese was sooo good in more sandwiches. We opted for the Italian (I don't like lettuce or tomatoes so I had neither in my sandwich) and the hot sandwich. Near the sandwich area there is beer and alcohol that is sold. I can't wait to come back to try out more sandwich options and their pre marinated meats.

This place has been around 75 years!! I have never been to this meat market before. My mom has and was looking for garlic sausages and she knew they carried them. I was pleasantly surprised by their vast selection of everything you can think of! Beautiful dried meats, beef with amazing looking marbling, good looking poultry and fish. An amazing variety of pre cooked frozen foods!!! I saw one of my beef, stroganoff, lasagna, roast beef, and gravy, braised oxtails etc! They even carried pre made lumpia! I was in heaven!!!!!! They have a deli of course and you can get a sandwich made on the spot. Everything was exceptionally clean!!!!! For you dog owners they have homemade dog food that frozen in the coolers too. Good customer service! They were very attentive. Why the the three stars you ask?? My mom purchased two garlic sausages and smoked ribs. The guy behind the counter DIDN'T put on gloves. He just grabbed the meat with his bare hand. No gloves or nothing!!!! Is that a common practice here? Also when weighing the meat he didn't put and plastic between the meat and machine that weighs the meat! This is a strange and unsanitary practice! Other than that this place was amazing!!!!!!!

I love this place!!! Best steak I've ever made in my life...there are free temporary parking spots out front, and the butchers are knowledgeable and friendly. So many fun treats in the aisles. You will not find better meat quality in this city! So glad I found this spot. It's a weekly stop for me.

We were exploring the Chicago area back in 2019 and stumbled upon this market. We walked in and I was in Beef Jerky heaven!!! The smell of smoked meat lingering in the air. The gentlemen behind the counter were very friendly and amused at us. Amazed because we never saw so much smoked meat in our lived! They treated us politely and got great service from them. We got several different kinds of jerky. Smoked Beef Jerky Maple Chipotle, Smoked Beef Jerky Sweet Bourbon, Waygu Jerky, Salami Stix, & Honey Pork Stix.

Old fashion butcher shop. The service is very slow, but very personalized. All their meat is amazing, the Deli meat especially. Their bologna is homemade! Their sandwich meat is comparable in price to other stores but the quality is so much better. They've recently undergone a renovation that expanded their shopping section. While dry goods are a little more expensive , sometimes it's worth it to have the convenience of one stop shopping. In the renovation, they expanded to include sandwiches, made fresh for with their deli meats. Generally the sandwiches are on the more expensive side but they are also huge. They just added an Italian beef and that too is delicious.

A cobblestone walkway with a rustic feel to it. It's also a Ramen & coffee spot on the premises. But we were there for the BBQ! We got there right around opening time so the line hadn't formed yet. The gentleman that cut our meats was very inviting and so nice! He definitely gets a 10/10 for service! We ordered just about everything except the pulled pork. We ordered 1/2 lb. of Brisket, 1/2 lb. of Pastrami, 1/2 lb. of the Pork Ribs, 1/2 lb. of Smoked Turkey, A Cheddar Jalapeno Hot Link, 1 1/2 Beef Rib, Chicago Twinke, Coke Zero and I went back and got 1/2 lb. Pork Belly! They give you complementary bread & pickled onions. I spent a total of $243.08 tip included. (I always tip good for good food and service). Tipping is optional though. I'm going to start with the Pastrami. It was tender, very, very well seasoned, Smokey, rich and absolutely delicious!!! 10/10! The sliced Brisket was also very, very well seasoned, tender & Smokey! Another 10/10!! The pork Ribs were once again seasoned well, not fall of the bone tender but they were tender how a rib should be! Nice glaze of sauce on them I'd say a 9.6/10. The smoked turkey is the best I've ever had ANYWHERE!! Moist, tender, seasoned and Smokey! 10/10! The pork belly was lean, fatty, rich, seasoned, tender just sinfully delicious!! 10/10. The cheddar Jalapeño hot link was juicy, smoked, had a nice snap, very flavorful and not too spicy. Just enough heat nothing overpowering. And it was a nice size sausage (pause). 9.7/10. The Chicago Twinkie is a Jalapeño stuff with cheese and wrapped in bacon! Smoked to perfection! Also deliciously sinful! 10/10!! The beef rib was so tender, nicely smoked, rich, well seasoned, it was fatty and lean. My gosh! So freaking good!! 10/10. We didn't order any sides we were there strictly for the smoked meat and this place did not disappoint! I can't wait until my next visit there! Next time I'll try a beer to go with it to help cut through the richness of the meat. If you haven't already been here, treat yourself to some delicious BBQ! All in all They get a solid 9.9/10!! When I visited, the line was extremely long, but it moved surprisingly quickly. The restaurant has a cafeteria-style setup where you order at the counter and receive your food there. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the expectations I had going in. I spent around $80 on turkey, brisket, sausage, potatoes, beans, and hot sauce, which felt expensive for what I received. The turkey was dry, while the brisket was decent and had a nice peppery flavor. The sausage was bland, and the sides were just okay. Overall, I didn't have a bad experience, but I also didn't feel the food justified the price or the hype. There are plenty of other places I'd choose before coming back here.

He was so helpful as it was my out of state friend's first time there and I so appreciated his patience as the ordering process here can be extremely overwhelming. As he gave us the run down on the three dining tiers available, we were brought seaweed salad and kimchi as well as a fresh salad and come cheese corn. We decided on the gold tier as it was a good middle point in both quality and spending! I can't believe there were unlimited drinks downstairs as well as two types of milk tea and chocolate and vanilla soft serve. I actually ended up making a milk tea shake which was incredibly refreshing with the heat of the grill and the smokiness of the meat. We ordered so many rounds of meat that I couldn't keep up with them all so I just posted a lot of pictures (see below.) I've come here a few times before, but this time felt so much more personal things to our server as well as getting there before the big lunch rush. Someone give Justin a raise as he was buzzing around to the tables around us each giving them a personalized experience as well! This is definitely one of my favorite places in Chinatown to come if you're looking for food that is both high-quality and for a good price! Definitely order the lamb chop -it's spicy and smoky all at once and since there is a bone in it, it was extra juicy! 12/10 will be coming back.

Canton Regio brought me back to my roots…read more Weird to say but isn't, visited Chicago from Houston, Tx for IMTS with my dad and brother who both grew up in Monterrey Mexico. Growing up, I like to say I experienced it all, waking up early to help my family earn money, laundry and cleaning the house on Sundays, visiting the pulgas and segundas whenever. Living in areas "less fortunate" but still appreciating and making the most out of everything given to you. Over time I felt like I sort of lost that connection, I still had the same ambition of hustling (working job) waking up early, etc but always felt like something wasn't there anymore. I do most of my food searches on Yelp but anything more specific Beli is my app. Beli actually recommended this restaurant as I was looking for a restaurant. I mainly chose it for my dad as much as he says he doesn't mind eating at other spots it just felt right picking something he'd feel familiar with (Mexican food) Wait time is okay, if you're from Houston wait times are typically already 20-40mins anywhere, not an issue waiting. Outside environment, felt like living off airline but more extreme, you can see, feel, and even breathe the culture. Guys were walking about waving Mexican flags, smelling Barbacoa/carnitas tacos down the street, and the obvious loud Spanish music going around. A community gathered together with signs of no ICE allowed too. The inside ambience is crazy, fast paced, everyone working together and communicating like it's just regular day. I'll cut it short since I try not to write long reviews, the arranchera was fire, both salsas-- fire, shrimp tacos, fire, horchata, fire. Everything was great along with service and seeing all the customers bringing their own drinks celebrating for whatever reason. It really made me appreciate everything that's lead up to this moment. Cash only too but spot is worth checking out.

Heads up that it's cash only, so come prepared. I'd happily come back for another round of arrachera.
