During this very brief meeting that only lasted for 15 minutes, my husband, who was out of town at the time, joined the meeting via FaceTime. Despite my husband suffering from Parkinson's, feeling unwell, and being out of town, he signed the DocuSign document assuming that it was the summary of our earlier meeting on that day. Subsequently, Mr. Young's persistent calls and texts until late on Wednesday, January 10th, around 10 PM, for me to sign and finalize the contract added to our distress. The following day, Thursday, January 11th, with my sister's help to translate, I read the DocuSign document; that's when I realized that what we had signed was not a summary of our discussion with Mr. Young, but, in fact, we were bound by a 6-month exclusive listing agreement. I immediately called Mr. Paul Young, on the same day, January 11th. seeking clarification. Shockingly, Mr. Young claimed that it was a binding contract. We requested the contract's cancellation, but to our surprise, Mr. Young and his broker Sunnie Guo demanded a $50,000 cancellation fee!
