We are highly recommending Rachel Markus and the Oakes Realty Team. Rachel recently helped us sell…read moreour family home. It was difficult - we had been in this home for more than 10 years. Rachel Markus and Daniel Oakes treated us and our home with great respect and care. After meeting with them for the first time, we realized that they provided extra services compared to other realtors. They are almost a one-stop-shop: professional photography of the property, filming a promotional video, filming the virtual tour, staging the home (through their collaboration with an excellent interior designer), moving our furniture in/out of the home to set up the new staging, and of course, listing, promoting and selling the property. All of this is included in the price of the commission, which is completely reasonable compared to other agents. Our house sold quickly, and at an excellent price. We were surprised by how easy it was, but Rachel reassured us each step along the way and explained the process very clearly. She knew it was hard for us to leave our home, but also particularly difficult to sell a house during a pandemic (when everything is shut down, where do you take your family while house showings are going on?).  But she treated us with respect and supported us through the process. Her advice regarding each stage of the sales process was compassionate, helpful and precise - she knows what she's doing! Most importantly, the house sold promptly and we were very happy with the process. Rachel and her team are a perfect example of the services that professional real estate agents provide to homeowners. I couldn't imagine trying to do everything that Rachel and her team did as part of a private/online sale. It just isn't practical. The services Rachel provided were definitely worth the price. Overall, we give our highest recommendation to Rachel and the Oakes Realty Team. Please consider her for your next sale or house-purchase!

Based upon market conditions some time ago, I did not believe I was in a position to be able to move into the sort of home that I had always dreamed. I did some window shopping periodically via Realtor.ca, but nothing serious. Having gotten in touch with Stephan, I reluctantly ( due to my outdated understanding of the Ottawa Market) and with Stephan's help, further dipped my toe into the market, to see if I was able to get myself into a home with the right sale and purchase circumstances. Stephan led me through, providing me the information I would need to analyse and make the best decisions for me, he counselled me on the market to help me adjust my understanding, expectations, on modifications to make in preparation for the sale and also the best things to do, to ensure success and the smoothest transition possible. Stephan's marketing skills in utilizing traditional and current cutting edge social media tools for marketing, knowledge of real estate, energy, wonderful personality, professionalism and non pushy/gentle means, to get me where I wanted to be, are truly a testament to client centric service and are the reason that this has become reality for me. Thanks to having the step to engage Stephan and his guidance, he negotiated an outstanding sale and purchase aggrement, allowing me to venture into the situation I've dreamed of for quite some time. I say to those of you who are reading, whether you are a first time home buyer or are looking to transition to your dream, I assure you that you will find Stephan to be the individual to guide you through and help meet your needs to get you where you want to be! My sincerest compliments and thanks to Stephan for having been the catalyst to make my dream a reality!
