If you need to come in for a physical before the Dr. will refill your prescription, fine, schedule an appt. , but do your patient a solid by calling in 5 days or 10 days worth of the medication until the patient is able to get to your office. Especially if they are away, out of state. Really what's the big deal to cover your patient. You don't care for your patients or their health, at all. Sad. Also I didn't like that everytime there were blood test results, the office wanted you to come in a second time, for a second visit. You can tell me over the phone your concerns and call in a rx if necessary. I don't need to come in again. Never had to do that before. DR. Chan was professional and seemed to be sufficient enough. No long waits, and appts. right away. But I had to pull the plug and find another primary doctor when they wouldn't call in a week's worth of Levothyroxine and told me to go to urgicare.

Avoid this place at all costs!!! I don't really have much to…read moresay about Dr. Maslavi as I have never actually been seen by him other than meeting him even though he was my primary care doctore; It's always been his assistant that has checked on me. I came in one day to get tested for oral herpes because although I didn't have enough evidence to say what it was, I still wanted to be safe and get it checked out. With my insurance, co-pay of $15 is required for every visit so I went through that and saw the assistant, I can't remember her name but she has blonde hair from what I remember. So she checks me out, is super rough with my lips and tells me it's herpes without any further testing. I ask for more testing a couple of times and she tells me it's not needed and recommends me products to purchase. I left feeling emotionally distraught because they didn't do any testing and although the co-pay was cheap, it felt unnecessary. I went back in and demanded for testing and after seeing how emotionally distraught I was, was when she let me get testing. Guess what? Testing came back negative and the bump was actually a mucocele. Not only that but I received another co-pay in the mail. Again I don't know much about Maslavi but his assistant was super unprofessional in this case and caused me to no longer have him as my PCP.

I arrived for my appointment at 12:30 PM, but didn't get the shot until 2:20 PM. This was terrible treatment for a 7.5-month pregnant woman. Very unprofessional. I visited this clinic with my husband in November 2023 for his USCIS I-693 medical exam. The…read moreappointment seemed straightforward at the time, but later USCIS notified us that the form had been filled out incorrectly -- specifically, the polio vaccine section was left incomplete. Because of that, we had to repeat the entire process and pay again elsewhere, which caused unnecessary stress and delay in his immigration case. This was a real visit with a civil surgeon at Weibo Medical Care, and the signed I-693 form clearly shows the doctor's name and exam date. I hope the office improves attention to detail on official forms, since even small mistakes can have serious consequences for immigration applicants. Update: After posting my review, this clinic tried to have it removed by falsely claiming that my husband was never a patient. We have receipts, appointment records, and the completed USCIS Form I-693 proving otherwise. When we first called about their documentation error, the receptionist was rude and dismissive, saying "you want it fixed, you pay for service again" and "it's not our fault, we don't need to fix it." She repeatedly cut us off, put us on hold, and refused to help until we mentioned filing a complaint with the New York Department of Health. Only then did they start responding -- citing irrelevant HIPAA excuses instead of correcting their own mistake. They still refuse to take any accountability or include us in the correspondence they claim to have with USCIS. They even told us my husband's varicella vaccine had "expired," which is medically and legally false, and forced him to pay for a new one even though it was already documented in his record. Their public response is misleading and does not reflect reality. This office lacks professionalism, honesty, and accountability. Red flags -- avoid.

Doctor is patient and attentive, communicates well. Woman front desk staff (I have only seen one person) is very pleasant and professional, but can be hectic running the telephones, front desk, paperwork, and related. Many of their patients seem to be long-time devoted patients. Sticking points are a no-appointment policy: first come, first serve; expect a wait accordingly (though regular patients consider it worth it). Can be difficult to get through on the phone. Their daily office hours vary, so be sure to check the posted schedule, best to call for hours when in doubt (I think it is on the voicemail). Avoid going during the last hour (or perhaps last two hours). Best to go earlier in the day and expect a wait. Regular patients consider the wait well worth. I know I have medical PTSD and I've had it for more than a decade. It is under control the best it is as long as doctors don't trigger it. No matter what I went in for, the answer was to see a psychiatrist. Dr. Desir was referred to me a few years ago and I have not had to look any further. The office is clean and they practice safety precautions and there are plastic shields between the chairs. There is never a long wait and I am usually seen within 10-15 min of arriving by the nurse for blood work and then seen by Dr Desir within 10-15 min after that. Once in the exam room She really talks to you and asks questions and is able to connect on a personal level. She does not try to rush you out the door. She has limited hours so it could be a challenge connecting between visits but if you have the portal she is good with responding to your messages sent through the portal. She is caring, personable, thorough, and friendly. I even had my mother and mother in law come from Florida to see her because they were not getting the attention and care I thought they should get. So now they travel for visits. I also need to mention that the staff is also amazing. They are friendly and very helpful. If you are looking for a good Doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Desir.

He always asks "is there anything else?" and gives any new issues the same amount of attention and patience. The last time I was there, he reminded me that it was time for a flu shot, and gave it to me immediately. Third, he is willing to let his patients challenge him and to challenge them back. I am very pill-shy, and he will not only describe what the pills will do, but the side-effects - and how long it will take to recover. My spouse is the type who researches everything on the internet, and Dr. Diamond engages her in what information is accurate in her particular case. Finally, he builds relationships with his patients. I don't need to review my medical history with him. Dr. Diamond's secondary specialty is geriatrics, and I have referred several older friends to him, including some older gay men who are HIV positive.
