I really liked going here. I went to visit a friend that is currently in school here so of course you're going to get discounted rate, but everyone is so nice like all of the students were willing to help and all had really nice things to say overall. I will say that there is a lot of people here that come and go of course because this is a school and they are still learning that sometimes it takes a little bit longer and I'm OK with that just because I knew that it is going in I understand some people don't want to wait or they don't like it when it takes longer or when the students have questions but that is really what those places and to be honest I don't understand if people that are giving us a negative review if you go in with the mindset of like what happens happens, then you'll totally be fine I asked for a magenta halo that would peekaboo with my real hair and that's exactly what I got. I absolutely love it and kara did an amazing job and I still will go to her. All around good vibe

I had a great experience here! I needed a trim. Most salons don't have just a trim option, and instead charge $50+ for a haircut. This seemed so silly to me as I only needed an inch or two off. I will admit, I was a little nervous coming into the appointment. Everyone hears horror stories of hair school. I thought to myself, the only way they can become experts is if they have clients and learn! Being a student myself, I wanted to give someone experience. My hair ended up being exactly what I wanted. Two inches off, in a blunt style. The price comes with a washing, and styling. My stylist, Sarah, did a phenomenal job. She curled it so nice! And did I mention, IT'S $18!!!!!! Such a steal. I now will only be getting my hair cut at beauty schools. Such a good deal for a trim.

I had a grey coverage and highlights and was super impressed! My hair turned out amazing! I would definitely recommend these students! They were so upbeat and positive. Very helpful to one another. Brooklyn did a GREAT job! I will be going back!

I like coming here because as a licensed aesthetician, I know the importance of practice! I have trusted Paul Mitchell the School for root touch ups, blow outs, and highlights because the salon atmosphere is managed well.

Beware: this is an excruciatingly detailed recount of my time at Paul Mitchell. If you want the short version, I sat in a chair for four hours to get the wrong color dye slopped in my hair, on my skin, and on my clothes; my hair looked like a child cut it; and the employees didn't know how to do anything. Absolutely atrocious, the Paul Mitchell school provided the worst customer service experience of my life. I had read all of the negative reviews for this place, but I decided to go ahead and get my hair done because I thought it would be pretty hard to mess up dyeing my light brown hair a couple shades darker, and I wanted my same-length hair trimmed by an inch or two. I was wrong. I went in with a Groupon for a $16 dollar basic color and was assigned to Kim. I have thick hair that was about chest length when we started, so I expected to pay more for dye. The stylist and her lead came over to discuss what color I wanted my hair. They both emphasized the violet color they would be adding to the dye, even though I picked a reddish brown sample swatch, showed a picture, and discussed it with them. After spending half an hour trying to figure out how to get my hair to the desired color. I was informed that my total cost would be $47 after my Groupon. After consulting a learning leader and mixing the dye she began to apply it to my hair. It started off as a very slow process, and I started to get nervous as the dye on one side of my head had been sitting for quite a while before she started on the other side. Early on, she asked for someone to help apply the dye to my hair so it wouldn't take so long, which was thoughtful of her. I became less comfortable while she and the woman assisting her began complaining about their instructor, and made comments about how they would have chosen a different color for me WHILE THEY ARE DYEING IT. They did engage me some, and they were pleasant enough to talk to, but many of the things they said were wildly unprofessional. I noticed some dye on my arm as well at this point. Overall, the left side of my hair ended up covered in dye for over half an hour longer than the right side - the dye was supposed to only be in my hair 35 minutes total. The entire process of applying dye to my hair took well over two hours between the two students. She had me walk over to the sinks, where I had to wait in line because they were all in use. I ended up with dye and water splashed on me, and she was unable to put a towel on my hair to keep it from dripping. She ended up setting it on top of my head and telling me to just hold it there. Next came the haircut. The picture will tell you all you need to know. By now, I have been in a chair for over three hours, and I was anxious to go as I had plans in another hour. Twenty minutes into the haircut, I asked her how much longer I would be there. Keep in mind my hair was already one length, and I asked her to cut it about two inches and keep it all one length. I was told an ADDITIONAL 40 minutes would be necessary. I was clearly unhappy at this point, and I asked her to forgo blow drying and straightening my hair so I could leave sooner. She began to work a little faster at this point, and when she was nearing completion, she called over her learning leader to sign off on everything she had done. The leader then cut a little more of my hair to "even it out." In other words, the picture below was deemed acceptable after TWO people checked it. My mistake was, instead of looking at it then, I threw my hair into a bun and bolted to the front desk so I could pay and leave. By the time she finished cutting my hair, it has already begun to dry. Instead of brown, my hair was so dark purple it was nearly black. Fortunately I don't hate the color, but it's somewhat uneven and nothing close to what my stylist and her lead discussed with me. When I got to the front desk, the girl working there didn't know how to ring me up. The stylist only ended up using 4 of the 5 bowls of dye she expected to need, so my cost went down to $34. Since I skipped the services at the end, it also became a little cheaper. She tried to charge me over $50 because she couldn't figure out how to use the computer. I told her that was incorrect, and she got help. This took a while to rectify, and finally she figured out how to ring it up, my total came to $28. While I was waiting for them to figure out how to ring up my total, someone (not an employee) informed me that my stylist had spilled dye all over my neck and the back of my shirt, which she neglected to tell me. By this point I was furious and asked to speak to her supervisor, something I have never done before and plan to never do again. Her supervisor comped me for the bowl of dye she spilled, which required her to get ANOTHER girl to help her with the computer. I left after this, then went to Great Clips fix it.

My daughter got her hair colored there. Very professional and the color lasted for months at the fraction of the cost of other salons.

I had taken work off that day and everything for that appointment. And all for nothing. And yes, I did curse at your staff member. I said "what the hell are you guys thinking?" "Why can't I be helped otherwise or accommodated? Hell no, I don't want to schedule another appointment." And what do you mean I rescheduled my appointment in March? Your stylist called me and told me ON VOICEMAIL: the day before my appointment told me she was sick. Fast-forward two weeks later . Then two weeks later I call you guys and tell you I might be 10 to 15 minutes late due to a car crash on the highway and you immediately told me to reschedule. You don't even try to accommodate me in anyway so keep lying keep talking lies. That's a damn shame. So I'm so sorry you guys think "hell" is such a bad word. Also this is all after my appointment two weeks before was canceled by your stylist. Never had that done before by a stylist thought. Hell I would've taken a different stylist that day. I would've even waited . But you guys just immediately canceled on me. It seemed like you really wanted to get out of there. It was close to the end of your hours at the salon. Either way, it was extremely unprofessional and instead of accommodating me by having me go to another stylist you guys just canceled my appointment. Very unprofessional they do not communicate well with their clients. I'd recommend a more established place that cares more about their customers and clients. That's a damn shame because I was gonna bring my children there. Oh and I think it's really funny how you guys said that I called and said to you that I was gonna be 20 to 25 minutes late . No one does that. No one says that they're gonna be almost a half hour late and expect to be seen. So right there I hope everyone reading this knows that you're lying. Any normal person would see that's a big bold face lie. But pop off, sis. Also folks notice the language they use "Sorry for YOUR misunderstanding" HAHA! No ma'am, no misunderstanding here. I understand fully what's happening. Thank you for your passive aggressive message. but I've taken my money elsewhere and my $25 tip that I gave your stylist. I will take that elsewhere. And same to you, sis have a good day, matter fact, have a better day!
