I can't tell you how many other companies just sent over a brochure with their pricing with no follow-up. In speaking with Josh, he was very consultative, and also just a very pleasant person to talk with. After comparing a few other photographers, we landed on Storytellers because of their beautiful editing style, and we knew we would be in good hands with experienced professionals. We worked with Anel for our engagement photoshoot, and she was a complete gem. My husband and I are not picture people, and she was able to get us comfortable in front of the camera. Those pictures turned out beautifully. For the wedding, we worked with Anel and Andrew for photography, and Marilyn for videography, and I cannot stress how amazing it was to work with all of them. I was a bundle of nerves the day of my wedding, and not once did I have to worry about anything not being captured. If anything, being around them helped ease our nerves a bit, because they were all so nice to be around. We went with a full nine hour package, and by the end of the day, it felt like we all had gone through a journey together. Weddings are wild. The photos turned out beautifully, and we cried the first time we watched our video. We got to relive all of the beautiful details again (some that we didn't even get to see) without the stress that came with the big day. I reached out to David Lee to see if he would be available for my brothers wedding ( that was two weeks away ) after realizing we probably needed more than one photographer to cover all of the necessary shots. With the expectation that it would be difficult for anyone to accept a job that soon, I was pleasantly surprised when David immediately responded asking thorough and in depth questions about the job and ultimately said he would be able to make it happen. While the venue was a good hour and a half away, he still went out of his way to attend the rehearsal the day before to get the lay of the land and identify the best shots/ lighting around the property. When the big day arrived he was on time and fully prepared with a reassuring and calm demeanor through out all the chaos. He gave great direction (soooo important) and was there from start to finish. After seeing the end result, I would never go elsewhere for a photographer. He did an amazing job at capturing candids and has an eye for a journalistic approach, yet also nailed clean portraits. We started receiving edited photos right away and had them all completed with in a few weeks. From the initial inquiry we got to meet him and ask him all the questions. He is awesome. He will be right there to guide you and capture your day in the best way possible. He gave us a list of locations to do our engagement photos, what to wear and how to pose and super patient with our dog. Photos were received in a timely manner. On the actual wedding date Ricky was on time, organized and encouraging. We met his second shooter and they brought in all the good vibes. We had complete trust he would be able to capture all the moments and we just needed to enjoy our day. Ricky and his team worked fantastic with our videographers. They worked as a team and communicated very well throughout the whole day. When we look at our photos all the feeling comes back. From the bride's point of view, getting ready with my mother and sisters, seeing my father's teary eyes during the father and daughter first look and seeing how nervous my now husband was, it feels so nostalgic.
