Paul K Ky, DO - Pain Management Near Me

Staff is amazing! Dr Ky is a caring man. He goes above and beyond to help deal with pain issues. Joy and Scott are also very helpful. They know about all the latest technology to help deal with pain. read more

Unprofessional and unethical, this practice recommends products that he has a financial interest in and makes comments that are lies. I had an implant and he made all these promises, never worked and he has since changed products because the product was deficient.! He also had promised me that it didn't conflict with MRI. I have a clotting disorder and frequently need MRI's. No location in Fresno, and even Cedars Sinai could give me an MRI. They are pain medication pushers. So much so that I had an overdose because they failed to adjust my medication after I lost 120 lbs which was clearly obvious. They didn't change my dose AT ALL and when I brought it up to them I was told that those drugs couldn't have caused that. Unprofessional and scarily incompetent. Avoid at all costs. read more

I wanted an appointment with Dr Ky for pain management. I called twice & left messages that I wanted to schedule an appointment. I never received a call back. Then I went to the office asking to make an appointment & was told the scheduler was too busy & I should leave my information. I did that after being told that she'd call me later that day or the next. I'm still waiting for a call back & it's been several weeks. I don't recommend them at all since they weren't even able to call me back to schedule an appointment......terrible patient care!!!! I have since found another doctor to see me for pain management. I was shocked that Dr Ky's office couldn't care less to help me. I really hope they read this review! A 1 star rating is more than they deserve!! read more

Pain management. Dr Ky 5 stars !! Highly recommend this doctor! He has the education and is Highly qualified. I was at Kaiser for 31 years & changed to ppo. Why? Kaiser threw pills and shots never stopped to find or resolve the pain. 10min visits in and out in 10 min . If you're needing more time you have to make another appointment. NOT Dr.ky He is personable, actually listene A to you, askes questions, does a full physical review, from listened to my heart, watched the way my body reacted as he had me move. Recorded every thing in detail. He sat with me eye to eye the first time a doctor took the time to explain where & why my symptoms were happening, You know he loves his chosen field, he is happy, personable, Professional and remembers the smallest details! He enjoys the challenge of solving mysteries. Dr. Ky took the time with me to actually talk to me eye to eye. Know me & my daughter who brings me. Even had questions for her. He found out where my pain was stimming from. Why, not just did a temp fix to Get me out of the office. As he cautiously considered all possibilities he explains them with a since of humor but in words not doctor terms only, leaving unsure. He wants you to understand everything . His diagnosis is carefully considered and what is best for you not cheapest for the insurence. He is your advocate !!! He is detailed. he explained his course of treatment and why, what expectations are with his treatment and if there is a choice he gives all the pros and cons. He's honest and clear not there to please he clearly cares about his patient's! Never had a doc truly care like that! And then followed remembering every detail. He sets out to resolve the problem not the symptom. His staff? Amazing, Professional, Respectful and kind like Dr. Ky. Dr ky is a teaching doctor and cares how his staff record and nitrate all. He will politely even in front of you give them info to better their job. You don't see that often. Perhaps that is why he keeps his staff not a new face but they too know you! He is worth the wait to get in, not your typical doctor who has 10 min in and out and types and sends you away with pills. Not even looking at you. He cares, takes time needed Most importantly He wants to resolve things "long term" not continue a life time of doctor visits to secure an income. He wants you better and resolve the issue, cautiously thinking through all possibilities with you, so u are living your best "pain free life. read more

I have 2 Nero Drs. 1 radiation oncologist, 1 hematologist-oncologist-2 radiation (fluoroscopy) medicine Drs. And a radiation surgeon (fluoroscopy) and that's just at Stanford. Dr. Ky is my 3 rd pain management dr. And I have had 3 physical therapists and a chiropractor. I was taking 150mcg patches of fentanyl with 8 norco 10 mgs and optional morphine pills. First visit with Dr Ky and he had something to try. Second visit we found there was little to no relief so he had another idea. Within 60 days Dr. Ky has had me 80% less pain taking just a couple tramadol in the morning for the whole day. I sleep, I play with my children, I'm back in school and working. I could not do any of those before Dr. Ky. My insurance doesn't want to do anything but pay for meds, and we still make it work. He really wants people to feel better and mo e on. He really is looking for non medication solutions to pain for EVERYONE. So expect to hear something crazy, he is the only one doing a lot of these things. They are tried and tested and working. If you want pills, go to lags. If you want relief from pain and solutions for a better life, this is the Dr. for you. His waits are getting worse but that's because the good news is out. Thank you Dr. Ky and best of luck to anyone reading this. read more

Dr Ky is an excellent physician. He pinpoints the cause of your pain and tries to relieve the issue. He has a great technique in finding your vein for administering anesthetic medication for his procedure. Not more than one poke in the hand, which was great. I recommend him very highly. read more

I started going to Dr Ky about 10 months ago. When I first started I was concerned because I was going to a different PAIN Management Dr about 300 miles away, I moved a few yrs ago and was driving monthly. For almost 4 years because I Trusted her. One day I told my wife I couldn't do the drive. I went to one of my doctors & she sent me to Dr Ky. Not knowing Dr Ky I was concerned that he wouldn't understand what I was goung through. Dr Ky, Scott & his entire team took the time & preformed test to confirm my issues. Dr Ky replaced my Spinal Cord Stimulator and helped me fix an issue the Spinal Cord Stimulator company was having with their controller. During the past 10 months Dr Ky & Staff has helped to get my pain more manageable. Dr Ky & Staff listen to their patients and takes the time that is needed to help us. I have informed my Primary Care Physician how good Dr Ky is and she has sent some of her patients that need a pain doctor to Dr Ky. Dr Ky is not about pushing pain pills he is about finding ways to help relieve pain without keeping you dependant on pain pills like other pain doctors do. I RECOMMEND Dr Ky to anyone and everyone that needs help with pain & don't like being dependant on pain medication. read more

If you want to be treated like an actual person, go elsewhere. I was pitched a procedure my insurance didn't cover. When I said that Dr Ky looked at my nails (that I had done myself) and says "stop paying for that sh*t". I marched into the office waiting room and announced what has happened to the huge crowd. An absolutely awful human being. I'd rather hurt than be disrespected like that. read more

This is not a reflection on the doctor's skill, of that I have the highest regard. But his office staff needs a major overhaul. There has not been a single appointment where I have been called within 30 minutes of my appointment, and today was the last straw. I was the first patient with a 1PM appointment, there were others that signed in before me but had later appointments. By 1:15 there were 6 patients waiting and all of them were called back before I was. At 1:20 PM another patient signed in and was called back within 5 minutes, leaving me and my 1PM appointment more than 30 minutes late. The VA was the one who recommended Dr. Ky to me, and I have had 3 good surgical procedures with the doctor. But his office staff is responsible for me now seeking continued care elsewhere. In the past, there have been no less than 4 issues with insurance authorizations, where I drove across town only to find that I could not be seen by his office because they neglected to get prior authorizations. read more

Extremely long wait times to be seen, Rude staff, and I get seen by Dr. Ky 1 time a year. The rest of the 11 months I am seen by Scott his assistant. Phone calls to the office go unanswered or well we can see you in a month, sorry were too busy here even though you are an established patient. I am now looking for a new doctor. read more

Dr. Ky is a good doctor. Although his PA Scott & front office staff are very unprofessional & the office is ghetto & dirty (Like a welfare office). The problem is Dr. Ky is never there so you are always stuck with seeing Scott. I also felt like I was bullied into doing unhelpful procedures just so they could bill my insurance. ($$$$) The office manger & Scott also told me if I did not do anymore procedures I would be discharged. (Wow) Oh & you can never get through on their phone system & if one of the ghettos answer the phone instead of the answering service, you still never get a returned phone call. So in my opinion Dr. Ky needs to fire everyone except Juan, he was the only professional person in the entire office & start all the way over!!! read more
