He was able to remove several kidney stones from my right kidney, including one rather large one, while I was under anesthesia. The surgery only left a small scar on the right side of my back. He sent me home with enough medication to get me through the healing process with very little pain. He also went out of his way to try different medications to ease the spasms from the stent he left in my kidney. Leaving the stent was his way of protecting my ureter from an enlarged uterus pressing on it, and also to make it easier for the gynecologist to see it when he performed my hysterectomy. I still have kidney stones in my left kidney, which he said we will discuss options for in the next month or so. I trust Dr. Dersch completely and know he has my best interest at heart (that's not something many can say about their doctor). I would never want to go to another urologist. He is very kind, understanding, and patient. He explains procedures to my daughter and I in words that are very easy to understand, answers any questions we ask, and makes us feel safe and at ease. He also has kind eyes, a sweet smile, and treats his patients with respect. I highly recommend him.

His attitude and behavior are discusting. For your best care find another urologist as quickly as possible. Dr. Joo is a poor excuse for a caring person and even less so for caring MD. Also I suggest recommending Dr. Jo for Medicare fraud. He orders supplies for the patient and then doesn't use the supplies for the pattientt. Dr. Jo rips off the patient for the cost of the patient. Some appropriate agency should investigate this fraudulent practices Dr. Paul D. Jo ( other spelling is Joo) is a despicable stain on the medical community!
