Damage control came in and saved the day. They covered all the doors with plastic so that the rest of the house would be protected and then they dried the room with these huge machines. They also ripped out the old ceiling and added the new one. Fast forward 4(ish) years later and the ceiling was sagging a little. Not knowing what else to do we called the company again hoping they could fix it before the Thanksgiving Holiday. We understood that the ceiling was no longer under warranty and did not expect the work to be done for free. Well the company came in and said that they would fix the ceiling on them even though it was not there fault. Again, came in covered everything with plastic and my Grandmother said after Jon had gone "Katie, if there is any dust in there it is from us. He was meticulous." THANK YOU Damage Control for taking care of my home (and not taking advantage of my Grandmother.)

I never worked with this company in the past but the insurance company sent them to us. I could not be happier! They arrived quickly and immediately started to remove the mess. As soon as everything was dried out we had to find a contractor to do the rebuild. I ask Servpro Hanover Twp. if they do rebuilds as well and was thrilled when they said they would do it for us. The rebuild team started quickly. The Supervisor of the construction team (BJ) was the best. He kept me updated and helped with the many decisions we had to make. They went above and beyond what any contractor I have dealt with in the past has done. They were very professional, accommodating and knowledgeable. This was a VERY OLD home that caused headaches but they handled it with ease. The home is now completed and so beautiful!! Thank you BJ and the Servpro Hanover Twp. team I highly recommend this company!

At first we thought it was a clogged drain but later on a Saturday night we realized it was…read moresomething bigger. Roto-rooter came and clean out our sewer connection to the street and advised replacing the sewer line made of Orange Burg back in the 60's. We had them do that work as well and are well please with their skill, efficiency, communication, and customer service. The repair people were excellent in both doing the job and keeping us informed.

I normally do all repairs on my property, but I couldn't fix a toilet leak, and another handyman…read morecouldn't either. So I called Roto-Rooter and explained the steps I had already taken. Without even looking at the flange, they quoted me about $800 to remove and replace it, saying it was "glued in." It seemed overpriced, but the tech assured me he would definitely fix the leak and said the job would take a couple of hours to carefully remove the flange where it meets the 90-degree pipe in the concrete foundation. I agreed. It turned out the flange was not glued in at all. It slid out easily the moment it was unscrewed. After he installed the new flange and reset the toilet, it leaked in the exact same spot. The tech then looked into the toilet and claimed there was an electrical conduit running through the plumbing line, causing a blockage. I was extremely concerned, since according to him an electrical line was running through a water pipe, so I immediately called TE Spall, who installed our AC electrical system, to take a look. About 30 minutes later, the Roto-Rooter tech dusted off his hands, walked away, and asked for ~$920. My problem was still not fixed, and I was stressed because he said it would cost tens of thousands to resolve. I tried negotiating and he wouldn't go any lower than $620 because he said that he had done the service he quoted (which wasn't even needed, as you'll see below). TE Spall came two days later and traced the electrical line. There was no conduit. It was just a jut in the piping, and a bunch of toilet paper was clogged there. We cleared it, put the toilet back on, and it worked perfectly. FYI they charge a fixed $49 for any call out... highly recommend them I thought they only did heating otherwise would have called them from get go. I have no problem paying for a competent person to fix my problem. But either the Roto-Rooter tech had no idea what he was doing, or he pretended not to in order to extract the maximum amount of money. The solution was simply removing toilet paper, which he never even considered before jumping into replacing a flange. I understand a flat-rate model, but it's ridiculous to charge for a service that wasn't needed (and turned out to be far less involved than what was quoted), and to have the audacity to demand the full amount when the issue wasn't fixed; will never be using Roto-Rooter again.
