After giving our measurements to the owner, he took our deposit and ordered the unit. He was supposed to come and measure himself but that never happened. It was weeks and I mean weeks before we heard from them. So after weeks (2 1/2 mos), we get a date for the install. They come to install the unit and the unit is too small. They have to make a riser for it when took more time. Finally after getting our fireplace, we were happy with it. About 1 wk into running the fireplace, it nearly catches fire because IT WAS INSTALLED WRONG!!!!!! So now the waiting game again....it gets fixed and all is ok. On 10-9, I called them to service the unit. Again I was told that they were "wks behind". Called again a few wks ago and they were going to come in a week. As of today, 11-26, I have NOT heard from them! Our unit will be checked but NOT by Fireplace Galleries! If they treat all their customers like us, they will soon be out of business!

Diagnostic/cleaning) He also noted that the cement on the firebox floor was crumbling and fixed it with fire proof epoxy for no extra charge and then climbed up to the roof where he noted flashing installed incorrectly and replaced it. We hired C & C Masonry in oct of '24 to remove & replace concrete basement steps. Today is June…read more12th, 2025. Chris completed 80% of the job. Rust marks are showing on the wall because he failed to remove nails that were in place. He has stated it needs to be refinished & promised to do it. He was supposed to drill into the wall & foundation to anchor the steps with 1/2" rebar. He only put the rebar in the steps, not into the walls. He's supposed to paint the chimney. When he poured the top pad, the concrete failed to find it's way to the bottom of the form, leaving rock exposed. He promised to fix it. He failed to recaulk where required, which he promised to do. I did it myself. Chris did work for us in 2015 & everything went fine. I felt I could trust him. When he asked for final payment, with the promise to return & complete the job, I paid him in full. He has returned once to retrieve tools he left, with the promise to come back. Chris isn't returning calls or texts. I have texts, contracts and pictures to substantiate everything I wrote here.

Ben executed our ideas perfectly and was one of the few builders willing to incorporate some salvaged peices we had collected into our new build. Other area builders we talked to about this were reluctant to do so but Ben was enthusiastic about adding "character" to our home with his design and our salvages materials including vintage columns, fireplace surrounds and mantels, and antique doors. Spent 18k for them to trash my house while they worked, ruin my newly refinished hardwood floors and take them 3-4 months to finish, only to find out the central air unit had so many things wrong with the install that it had to be fully replaced. Split unit has a crimp in the copper line which now faults after running 30-45 minutes. Toe kick heaters never turn on due to the way they ran the lines to them. Would not recommend and would recommend everyone to stay away from them.
