Well, the unclogged main line clogged again so we called Paul. Milton came out but we had to wait for Paul who had the extra "snake"line since it seems our connection to the city sewer is across the street. After another 3 hours the line was cleared. Two weeks later the line is clogged again. Looks like we're going to have to get someone with a camera to see what's going on. Paul & Milton have been very nice. Unfortunately, the problem hasn't been solved and it's been a larger than expected expense of time and money. read more

Screw this guy. I hired him to fix a broken pipe which was leaking underneath my house. He and another worker showed up and claimed they 'fixed' the problem. Fast forward 8 months later I find a lake underneath my house. I called him up to come pump the water out and fix the leak. He never shows. I call two more times and on the third time I offered him CASH IN HAND to just pump the water out but instead he recommended me to one of his friends. I contact his friend who says he doesn't pump out water!! So, I began to wonder why would a plumber refuse cash in hand for a job and make excuses not to show up. I call another plumber who comes by and assess the situation. He pumps out the water within 30 minutes then goes in to fix the pipe. He comes back out and begins asking questions. He asks has there been another plumber down here? if so what work did he do? and why is there a plastic barrier covering the crawlspace floor? I mention that this guy said he fixed the pipe and that the barrier was needed to stop the water. The newer plumber calls him an IDIOT! He says it looks like he didnt do anything to even fix the pipe and that even a novice plumber would have saw the giant section of pipe with a hole in it! and could have seen that it needed to be cut and replaced. The new plumber then mentions that the plastic barrier he put down had stopped the water the from properly evaporating. and absorbing into the ground. So, Paul tried to contact me or leave a review ( not sure which) claiming I was a never a customer of his when in fact I was back in 2019. He and his son or apprentice which ever your partner was came to my house because my WIFE called him. Only reason why I am posting this review now is because it was left in my drafts and never got posted. So, yeah Paul I do know what business I am referring too. You should remember my house: It was the house on 65th place and vermont with the large tree in the front yard, the sagging floor joist that you couldnt get under so you sent your apprentice into the crawl space, the house with the cat, and while you were standing around I was servicing one of my firearms that you commented on. Sorry, but my review stands. You left a customer counting on you after you said you'd show up and never did, which lead to extensive water damage to the crawl space of my house after your initial "repair" did nothing. Called and spoke with Paul. He gave me a rather expensive quote, but I thought it was worthwhile since I read good reviews on his service (I should have read all of them). Poor work and no follow up. We used Paul about 2 years ago, and had him install our whole-house water filtration system. Quite quickly we realized that the basement drainage was not correct, and asked him to come help us figure out what was wrong with the installation/drainage as it would flood our basement with small amounts of water every 10 days when the system reset. We didn't hear back at that time, it was during Covid, we let it go, and have been manually resetting our system he installed so it doesn't flood every few days. Unfortunately as we are back traveling for work, we are now hiring someone to do it when we are gone. We reached back out to try and get some resolution now that things are back- NO ANSWER. Paul da Plumber and his son rinsed away all my problems. I was thoroughly happy with their service. There was a clog in my bathroom, somewhere between the sink, toilet, and shower. They worked diligently to free the clog and it was a tough clog; in the end they won. And they did it all without tearing up my toilet, and making a mess! I called Paul Da Plumber on Veterans Day Holiday because our main line was clogged and our shower was backing up which was caused a terrible smell in our bathroom. Paul answered my call and arrived within 25 minutes of me contacting him on a holiday! He explained the problem and once the main line was cleared he showed me the roots that were causing the issue. Paul waited until all the toilets and showers were running correctly before leaving. He removed all the trash and put my trashes back on the side of the house when he was done. Paul is incredible! We had a leak behind our bathroom wall on Labor Day weekend. We called a handful of plumbers and no one was available. Paul responded quickly came to our house on Labor Day. He identified the problem quickly and had it fixed in no time. As new homeowners we had a small list of plumbing issues that needed fixing. Paul and Dion arrived to remove/replace a garbage disposal. That went smoothly. While Dion was under the kitchen sink, I asked Paul what to do about a shower faucet leak. Since he saw I was a little handy with tools (I removed the stem with a wrench to show him the condition), after Paul inspected the stem assembly he suggested I take it to Reback Plumbing in Gardena to see if they had a replacement, and put it back in myself. They had the part, and wa-la--shower leak no mo'! So Paul talked himself out of a job, but Paul obviously advises in the best interest of his clients. I killed a roach in my kitchen around 930pm on a Monday night - like an idiot I grabbed it with about 8 thick paper towels and tried to flush it. Lo and behold, it clogged and overflowed my toilet and no amount of plunging helped. I called Paul around 10pm at night for some desperate help (I only have 1 bathroom.) He was here by 10:45 and out by 11, and I had a working toilet again. As a single woman, it's always a little harrowing and scary to call a male stranger into your home, especially late at night, but Paul was extremely courteous, professional, efficient, and friendly. Fairly nice guys on the surface but bad business practices. Paul sent his son (who seemed to have the experience of an apprentice) to begin working on our stopped up toilet. We found it odd that his son kept the bathroom door closed while he worked. Paul baited us with a $85 evaluation quote over the phone, Then switched to a grand total of $250.00 snake job which ultimately broke down to $125 for his son to come in and do a basic assessment, and an additional $125 for Paul himself to come in off the field with the necessary equipment to get the job done in the first place. Father and son arrived on time, within the promised time when I had called about a water leak in my garage. The spent around 25 minutes figuring out where the leak was coming from and they finally figured it out. They said that I probably needed a "Hydro Jet" service-service that they did not have. They placed a cap over one pipe and said I needed to call another plumber. Total charge for coming out he mentioned was $85 + $5 for the cap. All this and the for not fixing the problem and not having the right equipment to fix the problem??? Oh my. ...there are not enough words of praise to describe this business transaction I had with Paul. He got here when he promised which is definitely a plus factor. The first plumber I called. .....well if he came to your house he came to mine. Paul came to unplug what I thought was a clogged drain. Upon his inspection he found that the section of pipe was clogged due to corrosive build up. He replaced that section and used a bit of elbow grease to remove the rest of the corrosion, therefore saving me a chunk of change. He only fixed what was needed which said to me this guy is pretty dern honest. And he didn't charge me an arm and a leg either. Would I use him again? Most definitely. I can't say enough awesome stuff about Paul and his son Dionne. They came out to the new house I was moving into at my convenience (which was immediate). They didn't even ask me for a fee to come out, which other places can charge up to $150 to hijack your business. I needed washer dryer hook ups installed with an honest estimate. I only called one other place and they were not very accommodating and right off the bat told me they wouldn't be cheap. The work Paul and Dionne did was awesome and very economical considering I don't own the house and was desperately trying to avoid Laundromats. my sink was leaking, from more then one place but I didnt notice till after Paul came and checked out the whole thing. Replaced my basket strainer and did test run 3 times to make sure it was not leaking.
